Hello, everyone!
FFB, how lovely to have fresh home grown potatoes. And plums as well, I see!
Trissie, I did look at Steven Spielberg for today, but time was tight this morning, and he is sooo prolific - I didn't want to have just a very long list of films that everyone would get bored reading about, and didn't have the time to just highlight my favourites. Still, as you say, there'll always be another time!
Helia, I agree with everyone else that the "weight gain" is probably water retention, and you haven't suddenly gained weight overnight. Today's menu was roast chicken, roast potatoes, gravy, tenderstem broccoli, carrots and sugar snap peas, followed by lemon curd fool with blueberries, frosted grapes and cream.
KitKat, pancakes sound delicious - I'm sure the DGkids will enjoy them.
L.Ann, Little Bit certainly has a full itinerary for next week!
Well, we did have some rain this morning, but it amounted to about 20 minutes of light drizzle -very far from the torrential downpours we had been forecast! Church was good, despite low numbers - I think many people are currently on holiday. DF E was in very good form today,.which was encouraging.
We've had lunch, Freddie has been for a walk, the laundry is folded and PA, and I'm now relaxing with Matilda on my lap.
