I did 4 errands got fuel for the rig that I'd put off b/c of smoke & fighting a cold last week.
The line at the bank was to the door. It did not really take that long.
That was kind of good b/c at the Rx place the first line up was through and I was just the 2nd in line there.
Happy I did that.
Took a rest break.

Got pantry and fridge items restocked.
Put stuff in the basement freezer.
Rig is unloaded and stuff is put away now too.
Fed ddoggo.
Fixed my lunch it was quite good.

I still have a couple of errands but there is another day.

The other fire is also about 3 hrs. away as well.
DD has not shown up but I did get the drawers from the desk inside and
I took more food to the basement freezer.
Smoke is funneling in and I can not see the mtns. or the hills now dang!
Watering in the shade of the tree out front.
------
I watered in back the grass & border of roses in front.
Tried to reset on the TV I'm pretty sure channels are out b.c of the power outage in the area north of me
you've seen the fires on the news I"m sure with all the homes burned.
Smoke is back in the unhealthy range now. So I'm doing trips to the basement moved the books back when
I took down some drawers from that desk. I'll be working on those the next day or so.
Got 10K steps yesterday and am nearly at that amount again today even with shorter walks.
Dinner was good rinsed my plate, added to the trash to go out in the morning.

My yard has a big patch of raspberries taking over. They make me walk the dry creek bed to get em all. There's more out there. Later... my back was done.

The fires are a long way from me too. Have only had a couple smoky days but not now. Thank goodness.

Busy day here! I haven't had time to CUOP yet. We're heading out soon to dfriends' home, I just finished s2s. Victory today in that I've figured out what stone goes where and the ID of those that are turned face down, based on old maps and Find a Grave photos. I stopped by the temple, then the cemetery after workout. Last week I wasn't sure what was what and where.

Pretty good workout, mostly upper body today. I need to work arms/shoulders separately some - the right arm cheats by doing more than its share. Stayed away from squats - knee seems fine now but hurt big time only last week.

Victory today
Twins - that is a huge WIN! Your research resources & ability is impressive.

Lauralind- the fresh raspberries sound wonderful. Does your patch have chiggers? That has always been my experience so now I'm leery of picking berries. I look at the luscious berries with longing then I look at the ground that contains chiggers surrounding the bushes. Sometimes it is worth it to me especially if I duct tape the bottom on pants and have enough protective clothing.

What a mess I made. I am creating a recipe that contains sugar, lemon and psyllium husk powder. I don't know what to expect as I was mixing with a handheld immersion type blender then pausing to hold the ingredients up in a 4 cup glass measuring cup so I could look at the bottom....when the glass measuring cup slipped out of my hands and came crashing down. The glass shattered in small pieces for at least 6' area while the sticky gel like ingredients splattered everywhere. Do you know how hard it is to clean up glass shards in a sticky gel? I hope you never have to find out. It was a total PITA to get cleaned up. I am 99% sure I found all the glass slivers, but I'm telling DD15 to not walk in the kitchen without wearing shoes. She prefers to be barefooted but that 1% chance of finding a glass sliver isn't worth it.

It is time to gather all the trash from various cans and get it out to the road. Tomorrow morning trash pickup usually happens around 7am

I emptied the dishwasher. I refilled the dishwasher.
I emptied the dish rack. The stove is cleared off.

All dirty stuff is on the left side of the sink. I just have a few things to get washed.

Speaking of wash, there is a washing machine that has done a load earlier. That stuff needs to go into the dryer.

BUT>>>

There is a baseball game on shortly.

LadyM I'm sure that it will be an emotional week in your home. You have done an awesome job with your ds.

All garbage is out.
Compost bin has been emptied and cleaned.
All groceries are finally away.

I also filled my gas tank earlier today.

What a difference a day makes. I stayed up until almost 2 a.m. to finish a 448 page book. I think I read over 200 pages yesterday.
Dishes never stop.
Laundry never stops.
Litter boxes never stop.
Paper never stops.

Oh, (((LadyM))) -- that does sound like a horrible mess... I hate to spill something that is sticky, and then to have the broken glass to deal with too!
I have a feeling that ds17 is not going to emancipate himself immediately upon turning ds18. You have such a wonderful relationship with him and dd15.
Congrats to ds on the new job!

I did prune a lot outside -- I guess I was out there at least 90 minutes, actively working. I sat down a couple times to drink some Gatorade and I talked to dmom on the phone for a bit. But all my clothes were wringing wet when I came in. And I didn't actually "prune" the shrubs at all! I just cut out all the weeds and things that looked different from what was supposed to be there, LOL. LOTS of prickly things with little thorns on them -- those thorns just grabbed my shirt and pants and the top side of my gloves... ugh. I filled up the large trash can twice (and dumped it in an overgrown spot in the pasture, where they don't cut hay.) My goodness. I guess it looks better, but it has got to be shaped up this fall. I really REALLY need some good mulch or pine straw underneath the shrubs, and I need to get the shrubs cut down like they were a few years ago. A "hard prune."

I need to go to the post office, and if my cousin returns my call, I need to pay her husband for some AC work he did at my dmom's rental house.
At 8:00 pm, dgd has a volleyball game.

I have a load of towels in the dryer and more laundry that needs to be done, but I am worn out, even though I did dose on the couch for about an hour. Part of the time I was watching tv, and part of the time I was sleeping. I finally got a shower around 6:00 pm -- so I'm s2s and ready to go out now.

WTG on your victory, Twins!

Cathy, I am trying to read some every night. I love to read, but sometimes (lots of times) I get sucked into scrolling FB and forget about real books.

Lauralind -- the fresh raspberries do sound good. I'm embarrassed to say, I have never eaten real raspberries. I know I'd like them -- I love raspberry flavors, like raspberry lemonade.
Talking about chiggers -- at least it's not a wild fox. A lady in our town (before I was born) was bitten by a rabid fox while picking blackberries in south Alabama. People my dh's age and older remembered it vividly. She died. That was quite enough of a horror story to keep me away from berry picking! (I'm sure it is a freak occurrence -- I don't want to scare y'all away from fresh berries.)

I hope the fires stay far away from all of you -- and that they are OUT soon! I can't imagine how scary that would be, to have to rush away from your home, not knowing if anything would be there when you returned.

Oh, Harriet -- the getting up again... I have been astonished at how I am becoming like dmom -- it is SO hard to get up when I am in the floor. I decided to try my short stretching routine morning and night. For the last several months, I have had a catch in my back -- it doesn't bother me all the time, but if I turn over a certain way in bed, this horrible, sharp pain grabs me and I can hardly move! My knee is also giving me trouble, and I know a lot of people my age who have had knee replacement already. I do NOT want to join that club!

(((blessed))) hugs for the annoying person you encountered. You have the best attitude! When you said "my dh is a lovely man but does not have one ounce of handyman in him" -- I definitely know what you mean there! Same with my dh.

I know it looks like I've written a book, but this is as far as topic review takes me, and I better get on my way if I am going to make a couple stops before the ballgame. TTYL!

PS -- I know I missed Mystery! Hello, Mystery!!!
Tomorrow is another day.
