Hello, everyone!

FFB, what a lovely photo! I'm sure you'll always treasure it.

Helia, yesterday sounded perfect - a tour of HW basilica and paella at a beach restaurant.πŸ₯˜

Trissie, I'm going to confess I can't even think about Christmas ATM. But I'm sure in a.few weeks.it will start raining and that will focus my mind. :D

L.Ann that's going.to be.a huge change for you when Little Bit starts school.

Harriet, I'm glad you had somewhere.to stay while the door was being fixed . How wonderful your DS knew what to do.

Dogged, that's wonderful news about your RBrother's cat. He must be so relieved.😺

Today's been both productive and enjoyable. I made good progress both in my garden and in the house. We still reached 28C today, but its definitely an improvement on the 34C yesterday!

If it goes as planned it will be a really big change, kittykatt. I don’t want to make too many plans for my time until I see if the schedule DD39 has planned actually works. At the moment I am going to do an hour in the morning.

Hooray for db finding dkitty, doggedly!
helia, continued great vacation! I did some reading about the popes and Avignon. Interesting piece of church history in the 1300s definitely before the Protestant reformation in the 1500s. I noted that one of the Avignon popes was John 22, and remembered that John 23 was late 1950s-early 60s, My goodness even that seems like a long time ago, but not nearly as long ago as the 1300s!
kittykatt, next week is when you will be following up on Mica. We will be following up with you. Hoping for the best. You have made good plans
Harriet, how awful to be lodked out. So glad family could come to your rescue!
FFB, that was a beautiful picture, and what a handsome child!
L.ann, will LittleBit be in school full days? Half days? Will you be picking her up and doing after school care? I think you will find the time will seem short and will be easily filled.
trissie, you are so organized to be already thinking about Christmas. Yes, it comes every year, and there is always so much to do.
(If I could just get and keep my table cleared off....)
I have 3 bdays in August, 2 in Sept, 2 in Oct, 2 in Nov, 4 in Dec + Christmas, then 1 in early January, and a few firends scattered throughout the year as well.

This week is our County Fair. I joined ds and family last night at the Pork Producer's building for a choice of their really good food. Then went to the dairy farmers' building and had ice cream for dessert :)
Then today was free parking for senior citizens, plus award given for the male and female senior citizen (volunteers) of the year. So I went to that as friends of mine were honored. Then I went to the pork building again for pulled pork lunch, and brought some "kettle corn" home to tenant, as he said he really likes it. Then MrVKM wanted to go to the fair in the evening, so I returned with him too. We had a really good time walking around too, looking at the animals, visiting with the 4-H youth about their projects. 3x to the fair! The weather was good; I was remembering that last year I pushed mother around in her wheelchair and how much she enjoyed the ice cream, the dairy cows, and the petting zoo animals. The people at the Gideon table remembered giving her a large print NT, and we reminisced about how active she had been.

I did get my dw loaded; dishes now need to be put away and
I've put off working on my table long enough.
It's always more fun to visit with everyone here than it is to work on my own K.
