Hello, all.

Kittykatt, that is something that I am mulling over. After I come back from my db's, I am thinking of taking down Germane's exercise pen that she can pee through, and permanently set up her travel pen with the canvas bottom. Then if she goes all dementia dog, I can bring a chair over and alternately hold her in my lap and set her in her pen with wall-to-wall pee pads and canvas sides.

That brings me to the end of Page 1, and I'm ready to go back out and give Germane's crate a good scrub.

Monday
Came out of the bathroom and walked through pee
I had put down an extra two pee pads because Germane has been peeing off the edge or just next to them. So she went in front of the bathroom and peed there
I can’t see it until I am at the right angle that the light shines off of it, so tracked it through the apartment
Put paper towels on the lake
Washed the floor
Spotted poop under the furniture while I was bending
Cleaned up the poop and washed the floor there
Made new Procrastaccomplishments sheet for the week
Checked apartment for random lakes of pee: none
Put away dry laundry
Put away big drying rack
PUt on a pot of coffee
Checked out the Thunder Bay lottery fundraiser. Looked up list of registered charities on government site, checked the official web site and cannot find any reference to the fundraiser though the advertisement has a link to their valid site. Pass on that.
Bought a ticket for my local hospital’s fundraiser.
Went to the kitchen to get some breakfast before I take Germane to the groomer. Spotted a wet spot in the pattern of the sole of my shoe. Went back and looked, and yes from this angle I can see the light shining off of the lake of pee that I walked through.
Put down paper towels to blot it
Washed the floor
Spiffed self
Brought Germane outside
Set her on grass but she showed no interest in needing to go
Put her in her crate and drove her to the groomer
Germane pooped something unspeakably awful in her crate
Brought her into the groomers wrapped in a pee pad. They put her straight in the bath.
Cleaned out the crate as well as possible with pee pads and a garbage bag.
Went to butcher for local eggs: none in stock.
Looked at the beef. If I win that hospital 5050 draw, I could buy some, LOL.
Back home, set up new butter dish to soften

Today did not turn out to be a day where I could move things forward. I had planned to try on the washed clothes before Germane's appointment and start sorting them, to thoroughly wash the front entrance and put the new mats down while Germane was at the groomer, and to bring the tissues to the basement after. Being me, it was the usual scramble to get to the groomer for the appointment, I spent my free time scrubbing out her crate, and then I stood and gabbed for so long that my feet are all cramped up. There's always tomorrow.

I love this groomer! We got talking about what to do about Germane’s face. The groomer allowed me to hold Germane for her, and she was able to shave her face. What a relief for her.
Got chatting with the groomer. I only realized when I got home, that we had been standing there yakking for 2 hours after Germane’s grooming was done.
Brought Germane home. My little darling used her pee pad like a champion.

Doggedly, That must have been a great conversation. Hooray for peeing on the pad (outside in the grass would be nice once in a while )
I think that keeping Germane in a playpen covered with pee pads is a fantastic plan!

I had a Menards errand, but was just soo tired! Had a phone conversation with MrVKM, and we were both yawning. So I went to bed and lay down for a while - fell sound asleep! Was awakened with a phone call,
Got up and ate leftovers for supper,
then ds, then dbro called. I'm awake, but will be heading back to bed soon, as I have many things to accomplish tomorrow
expecially mow the yard, as it was on my list today, but I felt too tired. And I guess if I fell asleep so quickly, I needed the nap.
