Hello, everyone!

Trissie, I was very fortunate as the weather held today and I was able to get a lot done in my garden today.

Helia, the garden ran away with me today, so I only had enough time.for.a.short walk. Did you enjoy your walk with DD28 and Fable?

L.Ann, so glad you had a lovely trip.

Laura, I remember studying German at school - the vocabulary was straightforward,.but I struggled with the "endings" on words as they changed case ... and my German teacher was very pedantic, so I could never just "chatter"!in German without her correcting and me.losing the thread. Hopefully language teaching methods have changed since the Dark Ages!

Dogged, that's good news Germane responds to being held and is reassured by your presence.

Today I cut down the hellebores in the front garden and mulched with bark,.and topped up the bark on the central path. I've spread some more bark in the back garden that was covered by the rhododendron, and I'm not sure what to do with yet. At least now it looks neat and tidy. And I've cleaned upstairs today and made some plans for our Christmas lunch at home and also the church Christmas parish lunch. (Fortunately I can delegate for the latter! :D )

Matilda is nagging me, so I need to go up the stairs to bed.

Welcome home, L.Ann. I'm glad that you enjoyed your trip. I can imagine that you'd like to rest before gearing up for your next one!

That sounds painful, and very inconvenient, helia. I love sitting too much. Doing things is what hurts me, and gives me an excuse to sit.
kitkat lives near Toronto, though not in it, and I understand that the damage covered a wide area.

I can well understand hesitating to get into the middle of prepping vegetables for canning, only to have to set it aside because your grandchild has arrived.

You have worked hard in the garden, Kittykatt and gotten lots done. Have a good sleep.
