Biscotti

Cream together: 1 C butter and 1C sugar
Add: 4 xlarge eggs,
juice of two lemons and their zest
Next add: 3-1/2C flour
2 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
Mix well. Divide dough in half. Pat into long rectangle about 1/2" thick. Bake @375* for 20 minutes. Brush on egg/milk mixture. Cut on diagonal. Toast in oven on each side ~7-8 minutes.

I've made this recipe for so long that I do it without thinking. So I hope I've been clear on the shape of the dough. If you have any questions, be sure to ask!

Also, you can substitute another flavoring such as orange or anise for the lemon......

Here's a link to an article with smart ideas about deviled eggs, plus some tips/recipe knowledge

Editing - that link fizzled!
Here are tips and helps from Southern Living magazine instead.

My tip would be you need vinegar in the mixture to make it tangier and hold its shape! ;)
