I have had a busy morning. It's magical because it all got done! I extended the cat's boarding, ordered Christmas presents from 3 different web sites (American Girl, Amazon, and Playmobil). I've gotten the vet to send dcat's shot records and a letter of health. For geezer kitties, they want assurance that they can be boarded in a regular facility rather than needing boarding at a vet.

Tonight I am picking up chinese to eat with a friend. Then I need to get 2 keys made, I locked myself out of the house yesterday. XDH had to let me in. Remembered to use the exercise bike yesterday.

Okay, dgd's room has 3 walls painted a pretty lime green. Then they ran out so dd & dh went for more paint this am. DGD decided she wanted multi-colors -so the other walls (some only a foot & a half foot wide) are lemon, pink, orange, turquoise, and a blue. It really looks "cool" & pretty. Her bedspread will be 'mis-matched' colors as well. She loves weraring 'mismatched' socks -so right up her ally. Right now she's at her psychiatrist and her therapist will be here thomorrow morning. The therapist will meet with her at school the weeks she has school. (They're off here all week). Up home they don't get out until Wednesday.

Actually got cards/notes done to both our DS's families up home -sent in the mail even! :o This is really good -for me!

Now to get started on those Christmas cards.

DSisIL called this afternoon to see if we all wanted to go to her DSis's for Thanksgiving. This is the 1 whose dh passed away pretty quickly in March. Her 1 son was coming for Thanksgiving -so dbil/dsil, dh and I are going. DD was feeling kinda bad because dsonil wants to go to the beach for the weekend and wants to leave by noon on Thursday. She was a little grumpy about not having her family for Thanksgiving. But as we chatted -we decided we're going to have a really good Thanksgiving breakfast. Need to decide now what to have. She was good with that. This will work out well for DSisIL's dsis -giving her some normalcy to do and then she and her ds are goin gto Atlanta to see other DS and family for Christmas. This will be REALLY good for her. And not just sitting home alone all day.
Begun is half done -SO! JUST BEGIN!!

That's wonderful that you have such a good relationship with various folks there, Indiana! Also that you like the food so well and will now be getting it on a regular basis again. I was reading about a guy who ate mostly vegan food himself, had been published on nutrition, etc. and had to go to a hospital and thought he'd starve (actually he thought all the patients would starve, lol). He began lecturing the staff/dietitians on nutrition, on each plate that was brought to the hallway. They found him a nearby green foods place that would deliver! LOL! I'd like to think perhaps they also ate some of the food themselves and considered whether they would want it improved if they were in a bed there.

Out to try to take dd her clothes, too late by the time I could manage it. Did go by the PO. Got 2 packs of the ornament stamps. So not completely inefficient.

We almost had Thanksgiving on Thanksgiving, but now we're back to Saturday again. Dd33 (I don't think I've been typing her age right here, hmmm) and family will be able to come in Friday, and not wanting to exclude them we'll have it Sat. Ds26 and family can come Thanksgiving supper, and we are considering still doing that as well. Looking at a weekend with houseguests, I realize I need to buy a bunch of paper products.

I need to buy paper products too, Harriet, thanks for the reminder. I'm hoping to get to IKEA tomorrow after volunteering.

Dh is on his way home now. I'm not making progress here so need to focus for a few minutes.

Well, my dinner with a friend has been moved to Wednesday. So I guess I will have cereal tonight. She had an appointment and the time just was too short. This will allow me to get my keys made tonight. I'll also pay some bills, cook some some rice, clean the sofa, and deposit a check. Probably fold some laundry as well. I should get really industrious and do some box unpacking and putting away.

Monday Monday When I was vacuuming for the showing the the lights went out in the main bathroom no windos in there, also the hall and master bed & bathroom sigh ~ glad hubby was here to try to see if it was a braker it was not. Nothing we could do so I just left had to go do granny duty at dgds house.

We do have heat and lights in the rest of the house appliances are working. So glad I cleaned the bathrooms first! The Realtor had a flash light so it was okay she said. She was on the 11th house today those folks were looking at.

Back from at dgds she wanted to come back here so we are back now. The house looks great. I need to think about getting the chairs up now I can focus on things like that.

Dee - that sounds bright & cheerful for DGD room colors! DGS14 has had his heart set on painting his room forever. Each time we go to Lowes or HD, he immediately heads toward the paint chips to dream about which paint color to use. He was very disappointed last week when his DDad brought home tan paint for their room. I don't think his DDad realized how important the wall color in DGS14 bedroom was to him. I'm going to wait awhile to let this blow over then I'm thinking about letting him pick the paint for the boys bedroom in our home. Just as soon as I get up enough courage to follow through on his paint color selection.

Elizabeth - YGG! I'm cheering for your success working your plan tonight!

I made pizza (low carb) for supper tonight. We normally have it on Friday nights but have missed it the last couple of weeks.

(Indiana) I truly admire how you can celebrate each tiny victory.

I need to take lessons from you.

I've been sick since Friday (last I was here), been dealing with this stomach thing and didn't seem to be getting better, only worse and had me all worn out. I spent Sunday in bed sleeping and sleeping, after church and a stop at the store was all I could manage.

Anyway, do seem to be getting better, finally. Still twingy, but hopefully will continue to heal. I managed 2 LOL but only managed to get one hung outside (the easy load). And dishes haven't been done in 2 days either. Baby steps.

I noticed everybody seems to be getting into the swing of Christmas very early this year. Maybe I'm wrong, but sure is an inspiration!

Nancy The power went out in half my house once too. It turns out the service from the street comes in by two cables, each serving part of the panel. One of the cables failed to the house so only half the house had electricity. In my case, the front half.

I got the kitchen cleaned up while watching Two Broke Girls. I'm starving today and dh pointed out TOM is due tomorrow so that might be an explanation.

I did manage to get my contribution to the annual newsletter written so dh can now pull it all together. That had me reliving our trips this year.
