Harriet, I understand about the overflow! Dh puts his wet from tennis clothes on the floor in front of the washing machine every time he empties his bag and packs. Yuck! I found a lot more laundry than I thought - I had told dd that I would wash her sheets, and in addition there are guest bedroom sheets to wash up. All of this was hiding under the basket of dd's clean clothes that she hasn't put away, now moved to her room.

I think I need to restart the light therapy. When I went to Washington for the biennial, I got out of the habit, then have been off of work and relatively stress-less since. I'm giving up on productivity for now.

I'm with Lucylee.

CI to say Hello. It's been a non-stop day. I just left DParents home and now need to get our home ready for FNG. They will be arriving in a little over an hour and I still need to put supper together/eat/clean up those dishes, prepare drinks and bake cookies and do a quick spiff in the bathrooms. I can do this!!!!

I've done two more rounds with the leaves out side the trailer is way full so now I guess I"ll have to begin the dreaded bagging again.
H. is working doing clean up at sil's job site so I"m having some delicious and much needed solitude today.
Got some reading done also a q.t. so my mental state is improving but I still have a ways to go.
Feels great to make progress however.

I will say goodnight now. What I am doing is looking up Warnemunde for shore excursions. We have snow and rain forecast for Sunday and I have to do a major drive to get to cat adoption clinic. Fun fun!

Big Sigh here........

Can you hear my wheels spinning? round and round and round and round

I never get stuff done in the house. I can't get out of the office.

I got all my papers copied, filed, folders stacked ready to go, 2 desks cleaned off...then I got the mail and started in again...1 bill paid, 2 accounts reconciled and 2 spreadsheets updated and copies changed.

Then DH comes home...and I'm back in the office typing proposal, trying to email and scan and send...and the scanner freezes up because I clicked on the wrong program and then hit cancel...so started all over, finally a 2 minute job done in an hour.

I missed phone call, missed dinner, missed cleaning the house today. My laundry is piling. I have to be at church by 8:30 tomorrow morning. I am cold again.

Off to eat something warm, get in warm jammies, try to de-stress a bit.

Nancy, we had one of those conversations tonight, about what's going on, what's been going on, what will be going on, whatever will we do.... as I finished all the bookkeeping I ran up a tentative bottom line number...after all this work all year, nadda. sigh..... DD2 has a friend, her DH lost his job, is on unemployment making for 8 months more than I do and very nearly more than DH, and he'll have govt help going to school. What's wrong with this picture?

Tomorrow will be a better day. I have to run out of work some time in the near future.

I'm exhausted too, has the village been hit with sleeping sickness?

Dh and I went to the post office, to the church and set up the basement for service (that was work, although dh carried stuff down to the vestry which is at ground level and I carried it the rest of the way to the basement so neither of us were doing the full flight of stairs.) The Christmas decorations there have been packed away. Chairs are set up, altar is set up, hymn board is moved into place, hymnbooks are stacked and the basement is tidied. Upstairs I gathered up my Christmas lights (but left all the rest of the decorations since they belong to the musician.)

After that we drove to the pizza place and ordered pizza and then sat there reading until it was ready (I have 80 more pages to read from the book I wanted to finish in November - I've set Sunday as my finish date for this book.)

At home we had pizza while watching a movie from the 80's, Hopscotch. It was very enjoyable but I struggled to stay awake through it. I snuggled down in my recliner for the second show that dh watched and just listed to it.

Then we practiced the anthem for Sunday because dh had to learn the guitar part for it. I sang holding my jaw to relieve the strain on the muscle. I might do that all the time I practice. I was singing scales after and can hit an F tonight which is unusual for me. Don't know what is up with that (normally the E causes me grief.) I'm guessing I'm coming down with something. Dh was hitting a low, low E at choir, again because he's a bit congested. But I thought congestion would make me sing lower, not higher.

Now we are off to bed. But I wanted to check email and drink some more water. I'm up to 11 glasses of water or non-caffeinated drinks for the day.

Sorry I didn't get here earlier - I thought I did, but couldn't find the post.

Anyway, right after breakfast we left for HD. Returned the router table with missing pieces, got credit, bought material for bed, (plywood and 2x4's) and then came home. Oh, we had lunch at Paradise. (Great soup and sandwich).

When we arrived home, I went into the house and slept for about an hour. Headache still isn't gone - but better.

The blow up bed has been deflated and all the bedding washed. We are going to sleep in the MH until the new mattress comes on Tuesday. I've slept in my chair for 2 weeks and that is enough!! I need a good night's sleep in a bed.

So Niters, all. See you in the morning.

Tonight I'm trying to figure out a civil response to dd13's science teacher who has vetoed her science fair project because "there wouldn't be time to see a difference in plant growth". What? I find that nonsensical, because their science fair always has lots of projects about the effect of this or that on the growth of plants and no such restrictions were on the assignment.

She started her project weeks ago, shortly after the info came home, prior to Christmas break, she's taken 3 or 4 photos already and frankly it's been a pain and cost $. But on the day of hypothesis turn-in the teacher appeared at the first of class for only a moment to say she was called away on the school's fund-raising project. Then at the next class date, (it's every other day), dd was absent, I'll admit, but that doesn't mean she deserves this. You're not allowed to turn anything in except during your own class time. I asked dd why she didn't explain that she's measuring growth of fast-growing radishes and narcissus bulbs that already exist, but she says when she tried, teacher wouldn't allow her to speak and kept repeating, "Sorry, Goodbye. Sorry, Goodbye." until she went back to her seat. :| Very difficult not to bristle at this.

Sleep well, Emptynester.

It will be wonderful to have an at-home Saturday tomorrow. Looking forward to it.

Harriet - I'd bristle too. Yep I think I'd be getting involved with that one. Its not like dd hadn't started yet.

I had a good day with dd1's family. weather was good - hotish (30C was forcaste) sunny, after showers early.
Water was warm. Seaweed bits were various types and and plentiful.
dgd had 6 more weeks of protecting her arm from knocks etc. But enjoyed the waves. and dd dragging her on boogie board in shallows behind a sand bank - but she was into the waves as well. I went in for a while with her. Sand time w dgs. nice talks w dd.

I need get my self organized for tomorrow. Need something for a meal. Had pad thai today - that was nice.
Just begin.
