I'm off to Girls' Night Out. Will let you know tomorrow if it was the library or Chuck E Cheese. At payroll I have one more page of document check, then I can go back to the database scripting, which is more fun (at least to me!).

I've made some progress today yea! Dgd was here for a couple hours this afternoon, luckily I did my cleaning in the morning. I got the vacuuming accomplished downstairs and got the stuff out of the zone the freezer is in so we could roll up the carpet and leno. I cleared one shelf of lunch box icy things for keeping suff cold out to make room for squash. I got the squash out of the shell and containerized it's cooling so it can be frozen over night. I've been working on re-claiming the kitchen this was not as messy as I though it would be until I started containerizing the squash meat.

Brought up the last of the crab for tonight's dinner.

The library called one of the books I had on request was in so I got it and will use that for my rewards. After working on this.

Got part of my ex. bike time / miles in.
Two schools closed at noon today b/c of snow. We can see the clouds around us but we did not get any and it's too warm to stick if we did but that may change over night.

I have granny duty tomorrow mid-day.

Overwhelming evening but it went well.

The meeting was on but it turns out only 3 people got the email that it was. I sent another out at 6.

Dh wasn't feeling well today so he napped and I made up some mulled cider and baked cookies. Then we had dinner and prepped the technology for the meeting. During the prep, the power went out for a second so I had dh connect the equipment to a battery backup in case it happened again.

I used his computer to connect the minister to meeting. She could see most of us at the table. I used my computer to run the presentation.

By 7, I had made tea, had the cider ready, cheese and crackers, cookies and chocolates out to eat. The first two arrived at 7:05. We connected the minister. We got to 7 people and then waited. Finally one of the members offered to go pick up people from the other village so we started phoning and found two more people to come to make quorum.

The meeting started at 7:55. But was over by 8:15. So it wasn't too bad.

The power went out again for a sec but I had lit all the candles on the centrepiece so we were fine until it came on again. I forgot about the young lad who was in the basement and he came up pretty quick! I told him that next time to sit tight and if the power didn't come right back on, the generator would come on and while the light in the room wouldn't come on, the kitchen lights would and he'd have enough light to come upstairs to join us. Luckily that didn't happen.

He played lego for the two hours and at the half way point I went and told him about the cookies and got him juice. When I told him the meeting was done, he immediately cleaned up so that wasn't an issue at all.

The business of the meeting went fine. We won't be consulting the congregation but we will be informing them of the remit and the vote and if they are interested, we'll show them where to get the information.

I have a lot of writing to do now, an article for the newsletter and to rework the presentation to go up on our website.

But I'm off to bed now. Dh helped me clean up, the dishwasher is running and the dining room is turned back from a boardroom into a dining room.

Last evening this time lucylee said, "miles to go before I sleep", and that has been so true for me today/this evening.

Ds26 and my darling tiny baby visited with me today. What a total charmer. And now that I have typed that, I remember how many times I have said that of ds26. I'm grateful that my ddad laughed more watching the baby laugh than he has in months. We all just had a wonderful visit. HRH happened to be here and made ds26 a big plate of livermush and scrambled eggs and ds ate every bite of it though he hadn't thought he was hungry at all. That made HRH's day. That and the fact that charming baby thought Grandpa was amazing because he did the Donald Duck voice.

Had to go get bloodwork done today and had an excellent experience with a super good tech (male nurse, perhaps). Back to Wendy's for a half a milkshake because I had been good at a medical thing. Then through pharmacy to pick up a few supplements, Ensure and office supplies.

Just lots of other stuff. The whole house is sleeping and I need to be, so I will CUOP in the a.m. Happy sleeps.

Oh, gee I glanced at today's first page - so much to say so little time.... ...zzzz
