Harriet, dontcha think you might alter those sheets to fit DD's bed? The flat one should be fairly easy, the other not as easy, but you need another project, right?!
Golly, I came here but don't have anything to report. I've been sewing.
Dinner & dishes are done. That's about it. I'm not behind on much around here anyway.

Lesson is finished.
Took me long enough - I'm just not crafty at all. But I managed to trace, cut out, cover in packing tape (to make water resistant) and weigh down, 8 fish. They each have a puzzle piece attached to them, so I'll start with the kids fishing out a piece of the puzzle and then putting that together while I read them a simplified version of the bible story.
Then I'll fish with a bible (double wrapped in ziplock bags), we'll conclude that's not what they mean by fishing using God's Word. Finally, I'll unwrap the bible, we'll read the scripture, learn our verse (with the Magic Cross) and then talk about real-life applications of the lesson by drawing other fish out of a net and reading the life situation and discussing solutions. There are activity sheets if there is more time to fill and for the little ones to do while the older ones are answering the life-application questions (this is a one-room schoolroom so I have age 3 - 12.)
I think it would have been faster for me to write a sermon than prepare a lesson, but at least I feel confident I have something that flows.
Now, I have a very messy kitchen to clean up since I spread out all over the place to do the cutting, pasting and colouring.
I have remembered water to bring to fill my 'fishing tank' (actually my 2' high hurricane bowl for a pillar candle from the centre of my table.) I'm not sure the water pump has been fixed at church.
Now to read over the mission reading (which I'm reading during the announcements.)

DH encouraged me to get out of the house this afternoon and I took him up on his offer to care for LO. The break was good for me. I shopped for binders and also came home with four pieces of material to make tea towels. Even though shopping isn't pleasurable for me, I did come home refreshed and eager to get back to LO care. After 5 nights/days of him being sick, I think we might be over the worst of it. He isn't running fever tonight. SWEET!! I am keeping him home from church tomorrow because it is going to be near freezing and extremely windy (50mph) but I am hoping to get back to our normal routines otherwise.
OHHHhhhh this is what my dining room table looks like almost every day between 9:00am - 10:00am. I often use all the kitchen counter space also in my efforts of preparing papers/projects for LO to do. I am slowly becoming more organized in this effort. This afternoon I bought four more 3" binders to hold his subject material because we have outgrown our current binder system.spread out all over the place to do the cutting, pasting and colouring.
