Kathryn, I hope the guard helps and isn't too annoying.

Sunny, I'm glad DH seems to be improving. Does it scare you when he goes out alone? My DH showed me today he can get down now on his sore knee. I asked him how he was going to pull up a houseful of tile and grind the floor...and he showed me. Course I told him to "cut it out" and get up, and be sure to wear knee guards. It does scare me to think of him doing that... sigh - what are we gonna do with these men?

BIG TaDa here today. I tweaked some files and added some things, made the phone call, and took everything to CPA. Had to explain a couple things. He said he wished everybody's paperwork was as precise as mine! pat pat pat on the back. Ok enuf of that.

Was just worn out after all this. Took a nap. Dinner's next.

Dinner is in the microwave - a single serving of lasagna. I'll have with a glass of milk and large salad.

Lilac, have you heard from you family on the cruise, yet? This just came up on the Events at Sea website.
dense fog in the port of Galveston has caused delays for two Carnival cruise ships this weekend. Carnival Triumph's departure from the Texas port was delayed by several hours on Saturday, however the ship is still sailing its five-night Western Caribbean cruise as scheduled and no itinerary changes were necessary. Because the fog has not yet lifted, the port is now closed and will remain so until conditions improve. Carnival has informed us that Carnival Magic's arrival will be delayed until the port is reopened.
I've done nothing productive since my last post.

Dh wears a nightguard on his teeth, but probably not the same sort, Kathryn. The purpose of his is to prevent his grinding his teeth, which he does in his sleep.

Another TaDa I forgot to mention earlier: I have procured a 2nd babysitter to help dd16 during our moms group steering committee meeting at our home next Tuesday a.m. The kids don't have school M and T next week. I'm not sure why. It is the switch from 1st to 2nd semester in the schools, but. . . . . Anyhow, I have counted and if all the steer. comm. members come with their tots, there will be 10 tots here, ages 1-5. :shock: And one baby in arms who will stay with her mom. Fortunately, our play room is pretty large and we have retained a good stock of young kid toys. However, that is way too many kids for dd16 to handle on her own. Dd13 will help out too, if needed, to make for a 3rd sitter. She is not much of a babysitter type, though.

I also sent out an email confirming the steering committee meeting and location next week.

Dinner has been eaten and the kitchen is cleaned up, dw is running. Girls are studying and ds is at robotics. Dh has gone to his ceramics class.

Hebrew next. . . I will work out only if I feel brave enough to walk and cross the busy street at night to get to the gym.. My body would like a good work out, I can feel it. I am losing any fitness I had built up over the summer.

pat, pat, pat - joining Mr. Harmony in giving kudos to Harmony. :)

Helia: actually my night guard is for clenching but would be the same if it was for grinding.

Just spent an hour talking with our musician. She and I were all over the map, laughing hard (which was making my jaw sore!) and now I'm nice and warm.

First challenge: weekly kitchen chores. Then the tax chits.

Kathryn, they arrived back in Galveston Sunday afternoon, about 3:30 pm due to fog. They were suppose to be back by 8 am that day. They were on a Carnival cruise. They all had a great time.

~~~~waving Hi to all~~~~
Slow going here but all is as good as can be. LO continues to improve daily and is almost back to normal except for not being able to be in cold air (it causes him to cough uncontrollably). Now that I've got his virus I've experience some of the reason why. I drank something cold and my throat/chest seemed to contract and make it harder to breathe. So we are staying indoors and staying away from the "cold" 60 degrees outside. ;)
Waving to all... waving to all... and sending lots of good wishes to (((Mr. MT))) and others who are still dealing w/health issues!
Ddad wears a mouth guard to prevent grinding his teeth while he sleeps, also.
Ta-da's:
Busy day @ school
Changed oil in dinlaws' van -- well, not personally, LOL! I just sat in it while the 10-minute oil change men worked their magic.
Picked up rx ordered yesterday
Got haircut
Spent a LONG time visiting @ dinlaws' w/dh & ds
Ate supper
Printed off Excel spreadsheet w/my daily/weekly routines on it. I'm going to see how that works for me again.
Still plenty stuff to do... but I am tired.
I'm interested in so many night guards. Here's my question: does anyone recall people wearing them when we were growing up?
Does this mean we are under more stress and grind more now?
Do they have the technology to make a guard now?
Have they found a way to charge us for something our forefathers did without?
I'll be clenching tonight for sure. Just found a BAD mistake I made doing payroll. Can't deal with it tonight, must call the government tomorrow.
OKay, I think I saw you peep in mid-day and when I never saw a post I figured you were having a rough day yourself. Hope you are well soon.
lucylee, yes we got better weather - thanks for sending it. I cajoled my ddad into a very short walk, but he really isn't feeling well enough to enjoy it. If the weather hangs around, maybe tomorrow. Hens were pleased.
I have been working my plan. I decided it was Kitchen Weekly today. (I keep tweaking - never mind!) Anyway, everything on the weekly grouped card was done, right down to the doormat! yay.
Happy for Mr. Sunny, getting back to normal.
I have missed seeing Lynlee and LisaB around.
I could eat one of those desks covered in salt, too.
Aunt Flo is on her way and boy... I can tell. I am so grouchy I could probably bite someone's head off & cover IT with salt, too.
Slept about 90 minutes on the couch. Stupid. Why didn't I just go to bed????????
Too lazy & too tired to get READY for bed, that's why. How stupid.
I think good weather should hang around another day here, so surely you'll have a nice day tomorrow, Harriet. Hope your ddad can enjoy it. I really need to go visit dparents tomorrow & help dmom w/some filing. It seems like we have just had something to do every single day since FOREVER.
