Making progress here. I think the annual report is finished except for polishing.
I might run over to the church and print it off tomorrow to do a final proof read but in the meantime have sent a copy to the minister.
The last financial report came in this morning so I worked on payroll stuff instead. When I finally went to open the document, it was three blank pages. I asked her to resend and they were still blank. Turns out her software converts from Excel to pictures inside a Word file and my software didn't display the pictures. I could see the data when I looked at it in my online email account but couldn't get it to copy and paste either (because it was a picture.) Dh popped up in a skype window and I sent it all to him to figure out since I had to run an errand.
The errand I was running was to drive my senior friend to the stores. She doesn't have a car anymore. I was/am having an awful day so said 'yes' when she called because I needed a hug. It was only 90 minutes out of my day and I did feel better.
By the time I got back, dh had forced the file into something I could use so I was able finish the annual report.
I've had my dinner now (just a sandwich because I had a burger and fries for lunch) and I need to get to work on something else now.

GRRRR!! For post office person who cannot read addresses and for people who get the wrong mail and don't take the time to give it me. Four checks for the HOA fees went astray and the Park builder didn't send them to me or even let me know he had them. So glad to get out of that office.
Still waiting for Dr. call. Nurse called after I left a frantic (acting) message to let me know it was not a serious problem and he (Dr.) might not get to DH's file until tomorrow. Sometimes you have to put on a bit of acting to get your point across.
I woke with headache this am and can't seem to shake it. So I haven't accomplished much except a couple naps.
We have decided to skip the rest of our desert trip for this year and just go out to the park on Sunday. That will give me time to do some stuff around here if the headache ever goes away.

I am finished with my document and sent it to my boss. I am about to shut down and go home. I wish I had put the pet sitter meeting on a different day. Today is Wednesday Night Out at church. I could have eaten there instead of having cereal at home. Or maybe peanut butter crackers, I don't know yet. No wonder I am losing weight, no food in the house!

(MT) hope you feel better. I'll bet the headache is stress.
Elizabeth, you need to figure out some really quick meals you could have. I make red beans & rice for us when I'm rushed. There's some pretty good mixes out there if you don't mind the sodium. Chunky soups are pretty good too. Better than cereal (all carbs) though if I had my preference, I'd be doing cereal too!
I managed to get the house in decent shape. Didn't take long. Our church couple came and we sat in the kitchen and chatted for a bit. They have teams going out to visit everyone in the church about the new one being built. They're not asking for money yet; this was just for information and connection.
I'm trying to relax for a bit. I've been sewing, my shoulders are all tensed.

Elizabeth We had beef & bean frozen wraps [can't seem to spell burrittios] for dinner tonight the bean and cheese ones are great too. Or soup for something fast and more nourishing. Granola bars are some thing we have in a pinch also & we keep nuts around.
I worked on the kitchen and got half of the counters all shiny, then mixed up cookie dough so had to dig out again after that.

I'm finally getting a bit of progress. But when I was fighting that cold I could have cared less about the house and I knew I needed to rest.
I tossed the kitchen trash, swept the deck a bit. Granny duty went well dd was here a bit earlier than I was expecting her so that was good. She has a later shift tomorrow and sil is going so both the grands will be here for dinner until bedtime that will be interesting.
Bath room has been spiffed, kit. sinks are cleaned, I picked up the living room and got the hot spots so the house is not in to bad of shape this evening and I even had some time for the book I'm reading yea for that!
Got some fish out of the freezer to thaw for tomorrow I have a plan yea!

Harriet, you should let your dd13 know that at Toastmasters (which is known worldwide for teaching people about public speaking and leadership), they actually have a person at each meeting designated as the "Ah Counter". This person's job is to record how many times each person says "Ummm" "Ahhh" or "Uhhhhh" or other filler words. Too many, or poorly placed pauses are not good, either, but a well-timed pause can be a very effective speaking tool. The best thing is to be sure ahead of time that you have your thoughts well organized, and make some notes to refer to, if necessary.
I am exhausted, and I think I'd best head off to bed before I fall asleep sitting here.
