CI: Today's PODA:
[x] get car washed @ cheerleader carwash
[x] buy bday card for celebration tomorrow -- 90th bday of dfriend @ church
[x] get in touch w/school administrator & find out how to turn off burglar alarm
[x] meet ds's classmates @ school for tour of the building after their reunion this afternoon
[x] get dmil's mail
[x] visited w/dmil for a few minutes
[ ] engagement party for dfriend's daughter

So far, everything has gone fine. I really enjoyed visiting w/ds's classmates. Only about a dozen or so showed (+ spouses) for the "tour" of the building, but they hung around for over an hour and they seemed to enjoy themselves so much. Several brought babies/toddlers, so that was really neat to get to see the next generation arriving!

Now... our own little shindig for the night... * sigh * It'll probably turn out better than I expect, too. Things usually do. That's the good thing about being so * blah * about such things. It's easy to be pleasantly surprised when you go into it expecting to hate it. ;)

Thank you for the encouraging words. I need to get better at balancing reality and the desire to set high goals for myself.

Tree stump is about 1/2 burned so it now fits into fire pit with the wire top securely enclosing the burning wood. I cut up an out-of-control wild rose branches and burned it along with the stump. It took me about 3 hours to get all the rose branches cut up and burned. While doing that I watched LO play and kept the yard sprinkler going.

MPB project is on hold until Monday when the ISP tech guys are on duty for routine matters. Hopefully there is a problem with the ISP router port forwards. Otherwise there is a problem on our side the tech friend hasn't found. Good news is the 10 cameras are installed and functioning so that part of the project is complete.

LO bath routine is finished and he is enjoying a small bowl of ice cream before bed.

Sweet Dreams!

Unstaging is nearly complete now. H. said that tractor died on him 5 times. But the guy made it worth his while he got some cash out of it so that was good.

We went to the old car show, then I took in the dog wood art under the elms a craft fair for my walk.

Went to a couple of thrift shops, got a Pochanatis plate for dgd to use when she comes over next week, a mini note book that I've been needing, and a set of cards with affirmations on them.

We saw the movie "safe house" w/ Densil Washington in it. =D

Had arby-q's on the way home.
A very enjoyable day.

Dinner was very good - I think the stew is better this way than crock pot even if it is more work. It will be tomorrow's dinner too because the recipe makes enough for 4. I could have eaten it all tonight but held back (and had ice cream!)

Dh is ready for bed. I've gathered up all I need for church tomorrow. There was quite the list of things I promised to bring for people. Plus I've gone through the children's story in my head and made a couple of notes.

I was on the phone a lot this evening, first with ds and then with my music friend.

I guess I'm ready for bed now. Not feeling tired in my head but my body is tired.

Nancy I'm glad you had an enjoyable day. Driving the tractor sounded like fun for your dh even if it was temperamental.
