Happy Birthday Cowinkie! And many more!

Hello - good morning to you all. I'm working around the house getting all those little clean up jobs done, that I never seem to have time to do. Feels good to get them off my mind.

Off to more adventures!

Had trouble connecting to the internet, so I reset the router and we went outside to do some more stuff while waiting. I can never seem to "just go outside for a minute"! :D An hour or so later we came indoors to find the internet still not working. HUMmmmmm.....Reset the ISP computer.....waited to hear the fan come back on....nope. THANKFULLY I checked to see if it was plugged in before calling in a problem.

Called and notified utilities to mark lines. We don't have a contractor yet.....but somehow...someway....we are going to get a yard fence installed ASAP!!! I've called seven contractors and only one responded. He toss a wildly high figure at us and I think he was shocked that we accepted it. But then he called back and said the figure he quoted us wasn't turn-key and we needed to buy the gate and some of the gate hardware. I know this fella (is a second cousin of mine) and he is a good guy but waaaay on the ornery side. I asked for a written estimate so we both knew what he was including in his wild figure.... a week later.....I'm still waiting to receive that. Soooo.....maybe the 7th contractor will want some work. I'm trying for a college fella now. He is mowing yards and putting up fences to finance his way through college. If this doesn't work out, I'm stumped. Maybe I should have started by asking on FB who to call. :) That will be my next step.

Home again.

Got a doctor's appointment for the morning. The doctor didn't tell me anything I didn't already know. She has put me on stronger NSAIDs (extra strength for first thing in the morning and then regular strength every 6 hours as needed.) Having started the ibuprofen last night, I've already had some results. Took the extra strength as soon as the script was filled and the lower blood flow continues.

It was blood draw day at the office so they did a draw for my CBCs and I requested the results be faxed to me as well as to the doctor. Hopefully that will happen. I did forget to ask how long it will take.

Dh wanted me to come with him for his errands in the city (which had been delayed for my appointment) so I just got back home 30 minutes ago. First stop was the airport to finalize his new visa. No luck, the office was closed. I suggested it was for lunch but he poo-poo'd that idea and decided they were only open in the mornings. Next stop was the cardiologist to return the heart event monitor. Office was closed for lunch. Dh was pretty frustrated by then because he had called to get the hours they were open. We went for lunch, then back to the cardiologist, grocery shopping (with me reading labels as to iron content of the foods I was buying) and I picked up black strap molasses as well at the health food store next door. Just 1/2 cup to start.

I'm supposed to take my new meds with food so thought maybe some molasses on a pita might be a way of getting extra iron while having to eat something anyway. Remembered to get orange juice at the grocery store. So I'm all set.

Dsil called while we were out and he's out now, so I'm awaiting his call back.

Ds will be here in 30 minutes to watch movies with dh. I've started ribs in the crock pot for them for dinner (on high and they aren't frozen so should only take 4 hours, fingers crossed.) I'll probably have something much lower in points. My weight was up a pound this morning and I have to eat tomorrow night so need to cut back today. Lunch was just Subway so that doesn't knock me off program.

Home from day out with dmom. Got in her dr appointment and did some trouble shooting on her computer. I got the printer working again but both ink cartridges need replacement. I was nearly at the end of my wits - she talks so loudly and I guess I need to get used to it again? Or something. I was so "peopled-out" after the weekend with 90 of my closest friends, and I was just stressed over the top with her.

Dh called me this morning to say that he can't go to ATL to p/u ds on Thursday night after all, so I am getting dd on Thursday and ds on Friday. Exhausting two days, and I'm supposed to sit on the pulpit on Friday night at temple too.

Going to give myself some downtime now.

Lunch is eaten, list for tonight is made. I'm still bummed about missing DD's party. XDH pretty much said he didn't want to be obligated to invite me to all his parties from here on out. He's not, of course, but he is obligated to let me know about DD's events and parties.

Happy Birthday Cowinkie!! ♥

Just a quick note to say hi. Posting without cuop. We're just getting ready to leave to see dfam#2 for supper. They couldn't come here yesterday because they were picking up dgd10 from girl scout camping weekend and waiting for dgd17 to return home from her trip to Washington DC.

I'm going to read as much as I can for the last few minutes before we leave. Hope it's been a good day for all!

Waiting on pressure cooker of pinto beans to finish cooking.

CCC = 80

In about an hour, I'm taking Blue Heeler Dog to get rabies shot. Once a year the vets give shots in local town. We can buy the medicine at coop but it needs to be administered by vet (or tech) to be official.

Hum.....wonder how many cards I can complete in the next hour???

Ok, blackstrap molasses on pita is pretty foul. Will have to come up with another way of eating it; taking it off the spoon might work, as a child, I used to take halibut oil that way.

Heard from dsil. He's coming to Ottawa for a job interview and would stay with us if we were home. We aren't so he'll stay at a hotel.

The movie ds and dh are watching is very loud. I can't concentrate on anything, even solitaire.
