Harriet - I have no idea if the s am's here is related to the s am's there. Here it is related to c razy c larks in terms of shared product and divided up area sharing. All up these stores have bee thru the wringer with name changes and solvency crisis. I think mostly our store are independant even when names are the same. Just so one doesn't bring the whole lot down with it. Relationships can be odder than that though.
Store shopper yesterday told me the electrical store chain I was in was name of wife of another major electrial retail chain. I said it all sounded rather incestuous.
Labour day here. I'm having a wash day.

Re: Sunny Sunday
Just begin.
Living this day, today
Take a reality check; Remember to breathe; Do what I am able to do.
Look for the good in all.

Re: Sunny Sunday
E-mailing w/daunt & dcousin... telling them to "save the date." Looks good. Maybe the shower will turn out okay.
They had a great turnout w/her family & friends this weekend... it's not that they so desperately need gifts... I just want sooo much for ddil to feel welcomed & loved by our church community. Since she doesn't go to Sunday School or take part in any small group activities, I'm afraid she feels sorta "invisible" sometimes. She's kinda quiet, and a little bit shy, I think, till you really get to know her. But she is sooo sweet, and everyone who meets her just seems to fall in love with her, so I'm probably worrying over NOTHING.
Can y'all imagine??? ME??? Worrying???
Hah.

Re: Sunny Sunday
Lynlee, LOL! Enjoyed the beach story.
Happy Belated Anniversary Mr. & Mrs. KinCan!
Indiana, I had wondered if you were getting out to eat. Sometimes you'd give your menu and it sounded like you were cooking it yourself. I'm glad you can go there now.
Lucylee, I hope there is a good turnout for her party too. I hope she enjoys it and feels accepted in the community.
I missed the moon last eve. though I knew about it. Tonight it is still abnormally big and bright.
I hope all those ill are getting better, Twins DD and Lucylee's DH.
Cowinkie, your party sounded wonderful! I had the derby on but we had to leave before the race started.
G. Lindsay was up for the part that Jim Neighbors got, then afterwards he got the part of Goober. I've been putting that show on in the mornings.
Sat. I wasn't feeling particularly well. We went out grocery shopping and to the dollar store for some things for church ministry, and I came back in with low blood sugar and had to nap the rest of the afternoon. I never did have much energy after that.
Today was communion at church, so I helped with the trays between the 2nd and 3rd service, and after the 3rd service which is a longer bunch of work. All the trays are wet wiped, dried, put together and loaded with empty cups and put in their flannel cases and stored in cabinets. It's a lot of work. Plus the church is cleared of all used cups and that's walking the whole church half-way bent over between each row of seats. I always try to get a couple kids to help, and DH helps if he's there.
Tonight I got the news that one of our very best friends passed away this morning at 2:00 AM. I was very glad I had sent a card last week, put their need on our prayer chain, and our committee sent a card from the church also. We knew he was very sick, but hoped he'd make it through like he had been all these years. I'm feeling very sad about it.

Re: Sunny Sunday
Sorry you've been feeling bad, too, Harmony. Hope this week starts out MUCH better all around!
Well... I'm about ready to go to bed... everything pretty much under control here. DH just apologized to me for "ruining my weekend." I asked how on earth he figured he ruined my weekend. He said, "Well, you've just had to sit around here all weekend; we haven't done anything..."
LOL. That's how his mind works. He does not realize just how much I love "sitting around here"!
I told him I was sorry he felt bad, but actually I felt more rested than I had on a Sunday night in a long time.
And then... I went and drank a diet Sundrop. I will probably be climbing across the ceiling before long... * sheesh *
For those who may not know... I think Sundrop (which has a taste similar to Mountain Dew) has the highest caffeine content of any soft drink. I NEVER drink it, but I'm out of everything else, I was very thirsty, and dh offered from his "stash." Yes, I'm ignorant. Yes... we still have TAP WATER in our home... piped right in... ice in the ice maker... Duh. Ignorant.
Anybody got any ideas on blue punch? I think I saw some on the internet that looked all blue & foamy, and had little rubber duckies floating in it.
