Well here's an interesting development in my computer woes... just now, could NOT get keyboard to work AT ALL. Could not get anything to show up in the reply box. I could use the mouse and go through and read everything, just couldn't reply!
* sheesh *
I have very little energy to reply, anyway. We've been outside all day @ local festival. I took off work b/c ds is in charge of entertainment @ this event, and I like to go. HOWEVER... lots of elementary school students there, as usual, but this time, a rather large group of them seemed to park themselves right beside us in the amphitheater, and they were very boisterous and loud. Probably 4th graders? I have no idea where there teachers were. * sigh * Since I suspected at least one of their teachers WAS nearby, I did not want to take it upon myself to enter in to this.
DH needs computer. I need rest.

Sadie, the goo gone should work. If it doesn't try paint thinner or mineral spirits. Don't forget to wash off the product afterwards, as you might have a slippery spot left behind...not a good thing in a bathroom.....said from lady who's DH broke his hip falling in bathroom. Darn slippery spot. Ours was just water.
House picked up again. Interesting way to say that chore. As if I picked up the corner of the house and swept all the dirt underneath.
Must go and make lunches. 2 for tomorrow.

Popping in for a minute between parent meeting for 8th grade trip and book club. . .
I just wanted to send gentle ((HUGS)) to Dee and Mr. Dee. It must be hard to be less active than you're accustomed to be.
Good day, full day. I got up early to prep a little for moms group; then I picked up Caribou Coffee for moms group as a special treat for the ladies. Moms group was all morning. I was the facilitator today. No teaching. I got the child care workers thank yous taken care of as well as the other little bits of business that needed to get done. Afterward, I had lunch with dfriend, one of the other teachers. We have a tradition of going out for a Thai lunch every May. I was tired when I got home so after checking emails, I relaxed for a few minutes and fell asleep - and then dd16 was home. Then the other kids were home, dh called, I got in a jog and a quick dinner for myself. Dd16 and ds went to S and R's house for dinner; we couldn't host Thursday dinner crew this week so they did that. Dd13 got her own dinner too. Then, it was off to the parent-students info. meeting. I delivered dd13 to S and R's house. And now I'm off to book club!
Kitchen is a mess but I can't take care of it now. I'll do it when I get back, which will be late, around 10. Dh will be home from his trip tonight late/early tomorrow a.m.

Harmony, would something with a degreaser, like Dawn, wash that away best? Now I'm butting in on Sadie's bathroom!!! Btw, I was very impressed to hear all the work Sadie's dsons did. So the toilets are actually replaced and all new?
Happy to hear about Twins' Mom's all new doin's, too! Exciting! I would be daydreaming.
Hope dh reports safe, uneventful travel, helia.
Hi, lucylee! What, just a whole class of 9-year-olds on an adventure? I'm sure they were quiet as mice!
Dd tells me she was SOOOOO embarrassed today when math teacher called her to the board to do a problem in front of the class, and her mind went _________________. But she loves this teacher, and says she is going to have to thank her tomorrow for taking her through the problem when she stopped thinking, and for stopping the whole class
to help dd get something (which she already knew, but couldn't retrieve from her brain during embarrassment).
She is supposed to work with another girl on an English project, but no one in the household will answer their phone, their message machine is full and time is running out.
This is why I just don't know if group projects are really instructive, except in expecting pitfalls!!!
Ugly example of "mean girls" bullying that dd came upon late today. To get a girl to stop crying in the aftermath of a previous class's incident, dd ended up promising
that she would talk to another girl on her behalf. Hmmmm.... ...
Following other villagers to exercise.

Okay. I've whined. I'm procrastinated. I've stalled.
Now it is time to get over it and utilize this quiet time to get some things done.

Harriet - I am doing great after my procedure. In fact the results came in the mail yesterday. Just the one polyp that he removed and he said no sign of Colitis. WHAT!? I think it must be in remission and I am so grateful for that. That happened once before for about 3 years.
Tomorrow I go for my second appointment with my eye guy. He knows I have optic nerve damage but can't pinpoint whether it is from Glaucoma (Oh, please no) or Graves Disease. He has a special machine he wants to use to determine this. Then he will probably set my first cataract appointment. I will be so glad when this all over.

That's great news, Norma. I hope for you that the eye report comes back as ordinary as possible.
I exercised for 30 minutes, in two 15-minute parts, and learned form on video for another 20 minutes, with a bowl of oatmeal.
Evening Daily Card done well.
Hi to Kally!
HRH says he thinks my ddad seemed depressed today, so he is trying to line up a barber visit tomorrow just to have something to do, see different scenery. I gave him a baby aspirin today, which is unusual for him to complain. The determination to eat only sweet foods continues, with Ensure being about as non-sweet as it gets. Ds27 says at 94 he has earned the right to have some dessert and I should drop the subject and assume it will pass, assume the diet will even out.
