Thank you Harriet for the support. Next communication question.... What is the correct answer to the question, "How am I doing for time?" (asked from the bathroom before stepping into the shower.) The correct answer was apparently 8:50 and questioning the question didn't start our day off well. Had it been Sunday morning, I would have replied "you have 10 minutes before we leave." or Monday evening, "Your call is in 3 minutes." but I was stymied because I could not figure out what plans he had for this holiday Monday that were time sensitive (it was an international conference call and last night he did mention he had set an alarm for it, but not told me - or I forgot - the time for the call.)

BTW: there are now two pairs of sunglasses in the laundry room - the missing pair were on the counter where he eats breakfast.

I've done up the breakfast and lunch dishes (thus leaving being taken out for dinner as an option - although had pizza last night so should eat in.)

I've also wound and reset the clocks (they were all fast and it has been driving me nuts but every time I notice it is at the hour and I had to wait 5 minutes to push the hands back.)

I don't have to fill the vitamin dispenser but dh is going away on Sunday so I need to count out the vitamins for that trip. I might wait until he brings me the dispensers from his last trip but I do have extras I can dig out.

But first, hang up the winter woolens that just finished in the washer.

K in C I think I would have responded to the time q. with "In reference to what?"

Good news we've brought in the coffee table from the shed and put away the folding table in it. While doing that I found one of the squash or pumpkins that I planted sprouting! Yea!

Dd called and we're going to dgd's track met this afternoon after school today, dson will be along as well.

8-) Sun is peeking out just in time for our walk. Muffin for lunch was yummy!

sheets are back on the bed now.
H. is doing the shredding.
Dump trash is next up.
Breathe deeply it couldn't hurt! LOL!

...No more monkeys jumping on the bed
one fell off and bumped his head...dgd is saying a rhyme now!

I was going to go to the store for ingredients for a 'mock' rosa marina salad. I've been thinking on this for days and want to try: 1 can crushed pineapple, 1 can mandarin oranges, 1 pkg sugar free vanilla pudding, 1 container of sugar free whipped topping and some cooked orzo. (No rosa marina available here). I'm thinking it will taste a lot like the rosa marina salad that dh likes so well. We shall see -but not this week. I had a 'sick' headache and have been trying to chase that away. So I will cook up some Cheesy Jambalya with hot dogs for my dish. I know we like that, and have the stuff to make it.

It's gotten quite cloudy this afternoon. But I don't think it's supposed to rain -yet. DH plans to go to the firehall for meeting tonight after potluck.

I got a pile of mail at the post office. Had a card to pick up mail on Friday but the office was closed for an hour or so. I had mail stopped forwarding April 24th, so there was a bunch. She had a whole tray for me and said she'd been wondering where I was. I had a little mail in our box but mostly in the bin. Of course most of it went into recycling and there were bills -yuk! Our insurance on the car and on our RV for 2. Almost afraid to open them. There's also one from dh's dentist visits. That, I know, was not 'cheap'.

I would also echo Harriet's response re: plurality of glasses/sunglasses. Just google any educated article about them and I believe they will be referred to in the plural. Same with the word pants I believe.

Like Dee, we're getting clouds this afternoon. We had the most stupendous weekend weather, though. Dd13 and I got sunburned at ds' outdoor concert Saturday.

I had a meeting this morning, some phone calls re: a friend who was in the hospital over the weekend, and then I sort of petered out. I'm really tired; I didn't sleep well last night. I woke up around 4:30 and just sort of tossed and turned and dozed off and on until 6:30. I blame it on going to the theater to see an action movie last night at 7:30 pm. I'm drinking diet Dr. P. now to revive myself.

Lots of issues I need to be processing this week on top of my regular schedule, which means a lot of phone calls I need to be making, my least favorite chore. Issues include: making appts. to prep dd13 to try accutane which her dermatologist has been pushing for 6 months now. I've heard scary stories but also positive stories; 2 friends, one quite a close friend - friend R, who are MDs suggest giving it a try. . . .We can always stop if it becomes a problem. Otherwise, dd13 has been/will be on antibiotics for years at a time, which is also not great. She and ds both have fairly severe acne and both have some scarring already. Dd16 is getting away acne-free. Isn't genetics interesting? (Genetics - plural but used as a singular, a specific area of science.) I also need to start approaching oboe sellers re: buying one. I don't know much about oboes but have a little guidance from dd13's teacher. I still need to order flowers for my parents anniversary party which will be out of state for us. I need to contact someone re: how the room will be set up before I do that, which means I need to figure out whom to contact first. Other little things: register dd13 for field hockey camps, renew her national field hockey membership, donations for Sr. class something or other, double check girls' passports - dh is taking them + a friend of dd16's to his sister's wedding in NL late August. Ds and I will not go so I can help him move into his dorm room. Tickets were amazingly expensive, but dh got all but one as frequent flyer tickets, which were also more expensive than usual in terms of miles used.

Dd16 is home finishing her weekend chores. Dd13 is staying after school for a Latin review; she'll bring a friend home when she comes home in about an hour. Ds is spending all day at an amusement park in Ohio w/ lots of roller coasters with the high schools' AP physics classes. They have some project they're doing analyzing the roller coasters -- and I'm sure they're also having a lot of fun too! :)

Alright, I'm off to the groc. store late today - now. I'm trying a new recipe tonight: chicken marsala! I'm using sherry instead b/c we have some other recipes that use sherry. I'll go for a jog with dh around 5 pm. The clouds are good for a jog.

Summer/winter clothing swap is done (except for putting away a few things in the basement.

I'm exhausted.

Dh is on a call with someone now. Dinner should be started relatively soon because we have choir at 7. The meat is defrosting (I decided to eat at home to be healthier.)

I need to go back out and run my other three errands, but may skip the trip to the plant nursery. Talked to the guy at the Toyota dealership re: dd's car and it needs a ton of service, most of which we're going ahead and doing. I'm skipping repairing the A/C for $835, tho; she'll have to keep the window open. OTOH, her service record on this car has been abysmal so we're definitely due for some maintenance. I'll have to pick her up later because they will keep her car until tomorrow.

Lunch has been eaten and I remembered my meds! I got a call from the warranty people about the swamp cooler. Tonight I need to do some house cleanup, work with foster cat, pay some bills, and balance the checkbook. I may not get all these done, but I can get a good stary on them.

INDIANA UPDATE
She will be in the hospital for a bit more. They are doing tests - so maybe - if they find out results quickly - she will go home Wednesday.

Still hot and smoky here - trying to get the MH loaded but too hot. Supposed to cool down by Thurs or Friday so I'll get things ready in the house and carry out then.

Those clouds turned into thunder, hail, extreme wind, rain, pouring rain. I was worried about dh. Knew he was up on a ladder helping a camper put on a metal deck roof. (I know....) But they were at a stage they had to tie the roof down to keep it from blowing off.

He just came in -soaked. Heading for the shower. I didn't think it was supposed to rain today -and it's out of the east -very unusual for here.

I've read and dozed in between clearing/decluttering some areas. Trying to 'don't break the chain' on doing some clearing/decluttering each day. Doing okay so far.

Wow, 90% chance of rain here tonight. We had a very hard longish rain earlier when I napped; we've had dry conditions this year so need the rain.

Going to work on some medical bills (pay w HSA card) and some other things I had put aside to pay myself.
