Re: THRILLING TUESDAY
First Fish!!!!! That's a big deal.
Dd's first catch was immortalized in a newspaper article and photo since it clinched her winning the 'largest sunfish caught' category at the local kids fishing derby and there's a picture of her holding it up, missing-front-tooth-smile, even a bandaid on her knee! She was 5 (we had just moved out from the city two months prior.) Ds won for 'least number of fish caught' (zero) and we fell in love with our new community that day. Dd got a tackle box and tackle, ds his own fishing rod (sportsmen had loaned the kids gear that day because we didn't have any of our own.)
I forgot I have news for those of you who remember the Third Amigo (I had ds, and dfs, and he was the third boy moved in while dh and I were in North Carolina visiting Harriet because he needed breathing space from his family before heading off to college.) Anyway, he and his fiance had twin girls last week! (He's a twin as is his mom, so this wasn't a surprise.) I just friended her on FB so I could see baby pictures.

Re: THRILLING TUESDAY
So exciting, OKay!
It's really been a pretty unproductive day, but I keep remembering I was out of the house an hour early this morning and then at least four hours later in the day.
I've been amusing myself reading the Facebook comments regarding the principal of ds' HS who was suspended today. The school had alcohol issues (both students and staff) and from the letter of reprimand which I found online elsewhere the guy really didn't believe in following protocol. Since I didn't care for him anyway (won't go into details) I am feeling a certain poetic justice in the reports. Although I am also enjoying the redneck nature of some of the comments. (Yes, I'm an evil person right now.)
Will have 3 boys in the house overnight. Z's younger brother will be here as well. Apparently mom is out for evening (or out of town?) and Z was to stay at home with him, however, the bro has been invited here for the night. Just hope it's quiet.
I'm going to do a couple of rounds now before AI starts. Ironic that after all these years I'm caught up in watching it.
-kitchen counters
-reboot laundry
-clear kitchen table
-bring in/sort the mail
-get in the garbage can, pick up garbage that ddogs scattered

Re: THRILLING TUESDAY
Working with you, Twins' Mom.
Wow. Drinking is a big deal and has to be taken seriously, so I'm sorry the situation at ds' former high school was getting out of hand.
I've taken the trash and recyclables to the cans in prep for dawn collection.
Have cleaned the microwave.
Reds laundry finished.
The 2 hens who will graze are grazing/bug-hunting, but thunder is coming.
OKay, energy is a need here.

Re: THRILLING TUESDAY
I've just discovered that twins means twice the baby pictures! Actually, since there seems to be duplicates (or the babies are identical!), I'll pace myself. But the mom posted an adorable video of them, one is a awake and prodding her sister who is trying to sleep with her arms over her ears to block out the sound of her sister. It is a hoot and shows so much personality for just a few days old. I can see I'm going to have fun with this!
Ds is just thrilled that Third Amigo's mom lived long enough to meet the babies. She has been very weak and sometimes extraordinarily ill as long as ds has known her and he is hoping that this will give her something more to live for. I've met her a couple of times and ds's concern is not misplaced.
Dh and I had dinner and watched some tv. It is now 9:11. I'm hoping to have cleaned up the daily dishes and done my weekly kitchen chores by 10 p.m.

Re: THRILLING TUESDAY
DParents got out of their house (mild cabin fever) and drove to our home for a visit. DDad can't get out of the vehicle so we all gather around their vehicle in the driveway while we talk. When LO caught his first fish, he immediately wanted to call DDad and tell him about it. It thrilled DDad to pieces to be the first one LO wanted to tell about it. DDad decided he needed to see LO in person while he heard his "fish story" again...and again...
Tomorrow morning is DGS15 graduation from middle school. It is standing room only so I will attend by myself. Tomorrow evening we will all be together to celebrate with him.
Thursday is DGS5 graduation from preschool. This is the first time since June 2011 that DH has been away from MPB for more than 24 hours. I am dragging him away for at least 48 hours.....and maybe a couple more days too!
Friday is trail ride with DDIL. I'm looking forward to it - even though I have not been horse back in years. How hard can it be? Isn't it like riding a bike? Don't you just get on and it happens. Right? where oh where is my confidence?? I know I left it laying around here somewhere.

Just begin.
Living this day, today
Take a reality check; Remember to breathe; Do what I am able to do.
Look for the good in all.
