I walked away the pounds  for 20 minutes... no Andy Griffith... just did my routine while watching baseball game dh had on tv...
 -- b/c I don't really think any of the pounds went away at all. I am just operating on the theory that it is better to be MOVING than to NOT be moving. * sigh *
Sheets are in dryer; another load of laundry in washer...
Visited dmil w/dh...
Ate supper...
I wish the dryer & washer would empty themselves & the sheets would put themselves on the bed.
I wish Mary Poppins lived here.
Tomorrow is another day.

Got that round done - entirely packed up the powder room except for necessities which will need to stay. ;) Got dh started on clean up of "his office" which probably has a much stray paper from me/temple as from his activities. He kept saying he didn't want to pack because he might "do it wrong and get yelled at."

Clean sheets on bed.
DH's jeans hanging to dry.
Talked to ddad on phone.

Bet Mr. Twins wishes Mary Poppins lived at y'all's house, too.

Twin's: your dynamics sound like the dynamics here right now! No offense, but thank heavens I'm not moving!

I've just updated the calendars. Have a list of appointments that have to be moved due to conflicts. I've added all the rehearsals and performances onto the calendar. I can't go to Boston with dh for my birthday because I need to be here on the Tuesday and Thursday of that week and he'll be away for the whole week because he's teaching. He can't go to a university reunion because it conflicts with a major church event. And if the training gets the go ahead in Europe, he won't be at my uncle's 100th birthday and I won't be with him in Holland because I will be in Nova Scotia. Our schedule is a mess up until the end of October.

Dh has to fix my music because my computer can't edit the files like his can. It is a long, long, process so he's also restringing his guitar as the computer chugs away.

Time for me to check to see if it is cooler outside than in. I'm sitting with a fan on me so am very comfortable but I bet the bedroom is really hot.

Kathryn, maybe the hot weather is causing weird dynamics. For all of dh's reassurances about helping with packing, he's certainly not worried about getting it done.

I did give him some assignments - stuff we had already sorted that he could just put into boxes w/o having to decide anything. I also need to get packed boxes out of the right-of-ways within the house and he needs to do the heavy moving to the POD or garage. It's making me crazy to have stuff sitting around everywhere.

Twelve hours.

It took 12 hours to put in door.

T-w-e-l-v-e hours with a 3'x8' hole in the side of our home in 104 degree weather with 100 flies coming indoors.

Good News - Door is working perfectly and I really like the keyless entry feature.

Not as good of news - the door I selected and brought home turned out to be wrong size  The blooper in door size wasn't discovered until after everything had been torn out and was ready to install it so a mad dash to town was necessary. However they didn't have anything like that door or any of similar style in the size we needed. At that point we had a tarp over the opening so there was no waiting for a door to be ordered. All the in stock door choices were ugly (IMHO) sooooo told DH to just get something....anything. He brought home a 9 panel glass door with a enclosed blind. I like this door MUCH more than having a tarp over the opening. :)

We had a VDFriend who hung around all day and helped DH. Gotta love those type of friends!

I made another batch of Millionaire Relish. That makes 27 jars canned the last 2 days. Today's batch turned out even better than yesterdays.

cooked and processed 3 pumpkins.....including roasting the seeds.

Time to do CW PM chores. *POOF*

Do y'all think we should keep our computers turned off and unplugged like some say on Monday?
I ran an anti-spyware thing just last Monday when I got our computer repaired. DH had to sign in again to all his stuff and it made him totally crazy. Didn't do a lot for me, either! I'm thinking he is going to say we'll just take our chances & if we get infected, well... it's time to replace this computer anyway.
Tomorrow is another day.

I guess I've missed what's supposed to be happening on Monday. I know there was something previously that caused a big mess and some organization put a patch in that expired and if one was infected would cause them to lose connection or something as the patch had expired; it was supposed to be hundreds of thousands of people...our local news station gave a link to check if we were affected..don't think we've done that.. what's going on Monday?

Twins, I sure wish you luck with both houses, and the move, and the big clean, and the organizing, and the selling...sigh and I sure hope you don't end up like us with renters in a house you can't sell. I still can't believe both Indiana and Lilac sold their houses so fast.

Our renters went through a few very very lean months. They always got us caught up but I could tell they were struggling. We worked with them. Today they got July all paid up, very good thing. He had to wait till he could see if his pay check would clear. I'm a little leery of his new job.

OKay, sorry your door chore was so much work. I like the sound of your new door. DD2 has one just like you describe with blind enclosed as her back door..it is very nice.

Family arrived about noon and we had late brunch, bacon pancakes & OJ which the kids loved, then they were off to beach and DSiL's sister's. We didn't go along. Too much sun and heat with all that. Many of you are hotter than we are, but it just feels oppressive to us. DH weeded and cut the lawn, and he was all done in from the heat.

I'm glad I didn't have to cook. We had ham that I baked last night and the copper pennies and I made baked potatoes. Yumm! We went out for bike ride, and I had to cut the last couple streets short as I was dripping from the humidity. There was a storm out there but I guess it passed over us.

Not sure what tomorrow's plans are. Family is still out, and I'm not sure about church.

Lucylee: I can't see how keeping the computer off will help. As I understand it, infected computers will no longer be filtered and will simply be booted off the internet. So if you are infected, you'll be disconnected. If you aren't, you'll notice nothing. If you keep your computer off on Monday, all that will happen is that Tuesday when you try to get on the internet you'll either get on the internet (because your computer is clean) or you won't (if you are infected.) Plus you'll be a day further behind with the SHE boards.

If you have checked your computer and come up clean, then you are done. If you haven't checked it, do so now because there's time to fix the problem without wiping your hard drive and restarting with a clean slate.
