oy, defiinitly not settled in here but we have moved the big stuff. It's hard to imagine what's still in the POD that will show up on Monday. My feet and back are killing me and my tummy isn't great either. Ddogs are settling in and had a little walk around the block earlier. Our realtor is bringing pizza for supper tonight.

Happy wedding day to all nuptial couples! I hope both weddings are a success!
Happy anniversary for Mr. & Mrs. bittersweet and Mr. & Mrs. Ellyphant!

My we are in a celebrating mood in the village today.
LOL Cowinkie! I want some of what you are taking.

I'm in recovery mode I guess. DH had his day of continuing ed and I read a book, did 2 LOL and went to 7 stores looking for something to put this tv and stereo stuff on that will fit properly and mesh with the 2 bookcases already there. Sigh...no luck...and I brought home a couple brochures to show DH what's out there and he said NO I don't want the stereo pieces down underneath where I can't read dials & buttons and have to get on my knees. We are such neanderthals with our old equipment and oak furniture. I wanted to find a way to modernize a bit if we have to do this...but doesn't look like we'll be doing that.

Straightened out everything with DD2...she paid DGS13 and we will send her a check and she has promised to cash it. He really did earn it. He is young, having just turned 13 last month, but both DH and I were very pleased how he behaved. He was super helpful, did everything asked of him, kept working all day in the heat, never complained, fit right in with other helper, got up promptly to get ready for work...we wish all our helpers were like this!

DH made us a steak on the grill which we shared. I was too pooped to cook. He was tired of leftovers. I just ran out of steam while shopping. I guess I am still recuperating.

Just talked to DD#2 - she is so happy about the puppies. They have nick-named them after tires as DD had a flat when taking the female to be bred. So one puppy is BT for Bell Tire, one is Tred and another is Michelin. Others are named after friends - or a cousin, as in the case of Annie (or the Lovely Mrs. D) (My niece).

We had to cut our phone call short as a neighbor was bringing her kids over to see the puppies and DD was NOT happy. Her rule is no one is to visit until they are a week old.

We went out to eat for dinner and will not go back to that cafe. Mushroom burger was made with canned mushrooms and they weren't fresh (probably an open gallon sized can - open a long time) so I scraped them off. I'd rather eat at DQ or Subs.

Now in for the night and will go to church with DD#1 and family tomorrow. Can't wait to see them as it has been 2 years.

Harmony - I'm glad your DD let DGS receive the $$ he earned. Such a good lesson for young men.

Last night while doing MPB PM chores, LO received two $1 tips from customers he helped. This was the first time he has ever "earned" money at MPB and he really isn't sure what good a piece of green paper is. I had him put it in his pocket and then when he got home, he selected 2 of his money containers to put them in.

I dried the pumpkin seeds this afternoon and just finished seasoning them. I'll let them cool then package them up.

Long visit with ds27's family. 2 or 3 hours I guess. We all needed that! Lasagne was specially requested and ddil did the garlic bread. I made individual salads in advance to keep it easy. Ddil asked for seconds and thirds so I felt good that she liked it that much! She's young and her figure needs no watching, though. The darling boy is 11 months and has been walking for long enough that they just put him down and let him run now. I've seen him walk, but was still amazed that he's at the matter-of-fact stage with it. He is fine in my all-wood high chair now. I sent them home with enough lasagne for another meal, I think.

New puppies, what fun, Emptynester. She's right - as little disturbance as possible right now is best. But maybe neighbor doesn't intend to touch.

Twins' Mom, is it time to spend the night in the new house?

Ugh, I'm stuffed and yet I should do my workout.

We're spending a quiet evening at home. Ds and ddil are at a Toby Keith concert in a neighboring city, dgkids are downstairs singing with karaoke machine, ddil's dmom, dh and I are relaxing with tv --- well, I'm here in the village with you all! I haven't posted every day, but tried to keep up reading.

Congratulations to both the newlywed couples. Happy anniversary to those couples celebrating.

Wow, lab puppies are so cute. Have fun playing with them MT and enjoy your visit with dgds!

Oh, ((Harriet)), I'm glad you are all right after your fall!

OKay, I'm happy for your good news that ds/ddil's house sold so quickly and that LO's tests are good!

We've spent the last couple of days in and out running errands, shopping, etc. This morning we went to the National Museum of the Marine Corps. http://www.usmcmuseum.org/ There is a virtual tour on their website. It is a very interesting and moving experience. Dh's dbro was a marine and served during the Korean War, so it was especially interesting to see that exhibit.

I'm not sure what we will do tomorrow. Plans sometimes change at the last minute here!

I'm done cleaning up the kitchen from dinner. Which was messy because dh wanted to play with his deep fryer and made homemade onion rings (first class marks for the onion but the batter was too plain) and mushrooms. Then he pan fried the okra he bought today. Luckily I had cornmeal on hand because he didn't say he needed that. I thought the okra was ok but not great but he loved it as much as he had the first time he had it in Alabama. For 'real' food, I made up BLTs and I had veggies and hummus with that for additional healthiness.

I'm too tired to cut up watermelon right now so I guess I'll have a banana before bed to fill in the cracks in my tummy.

I've gone through the sermon a half dozen times and the whole service at least once so I'm as ready as I'll ever be. I'm starting to get nervous. Hope I can sleep well because rest will make things go more smoothly.

Okay, I am sure you will enjoy a lot of pumpkin baked goods. Pumpkin has gotten so high after being cheap for so long.

Twins, you survived the move, congratulations. Don't get in a panic that it doesn't all get done soon enough. We have been here 7 months and we just hung all the stuff in the kitchen and dining room today. I have always had soffits above the cabinets instead of open space above them. I have a bunch of pieces that hang of my P faltzgraff, plus shelves and pictures that match it. It really is looking like our home.

Cowinkie, did you like Z umba? Dd1 takes a Z class and loves it. We gave dd2 the Z umba Wii for Christmas and she does it a lot.

Kally, please start posting again. We miss you.

Nancy, I am sure you will enjoy the extra patio space.

Helia, I can't believe how much you accomplish in a day.

This morning I followed dh to the neighboring town that has a H arley dealership. Something messed up with his tail light the first day of his trip. He had it looked at and they replaced a fuse. It blew out 10 miles down the road. So he went the whole trip with a headlight, brake lights and turn signals. One of the guys always rode behind him and they never rode after dark. After we dropped it off we went to the mall so I could pick up my H allmark ornaments since it was premier weekend. We then went to lunch and then home. After a short nap dh was ready to tackle the wall stuff. I still have a pile in the sunroom. I think we will try to hang some of the living room items tomorrow afternoon. I think I will just tackle the bedroom stuff when I deep clean each room or have the time. I think after tomorrow dh will have had it.
