Quick check in before turning out lights and going to bed. We did have a thunderstorm go through our area. Everyone jumped when lightning struck a tree down the street. There are a lot of maple, oak, pines and yellow poplar trees here that are twice the height of the houses, up to 100 feet or more.

So happy to see that Indiana is back home!

OKay I hope you get some rain soon!

We enjoy watching Judi Dench in "As Time Goes By" when it is aired on our PBS station.

After dinner tonight we played a card game called "Nickles". We didn't play for money, though we did keep score. Has anyone ever played this game?

Indiana, so happy to see you posting. You were missed.

Dh went to bed in a grumpy mood. He had taken his cpap nose piece off to clean it. Then he couldn't get it back the right way. He finally huffed off to brush his teeth and I fixed it. I just readjusted one side. Every time he kept switching both. Oh well......

We hung 2 shelves and a picture today. One of the shelves is a rectangle that has 3 shelves plus 6 sections to display whatever. I was able to empty several boxes of B oyds bear items and Americana items. The pile is getting smaller but I still have plenty of pictures and more shelves that I will hang through out the house. I have a bunch of stuff to hang in the R aggedy A nn room.

Tomorrow both dds will be heading to the big city 200 miles east of us. Dd1 will be there for 4 days for a school nurse conference. Dd2, the 5 kids and dgd16 boyfriend are going to the wildlife park and then to a paint your own pottery studio. This is just a day trip. My dm will also be in this city. She is taking a retired minister who is legally blind to the eye dr. and then they are meeting her db for lunch for his birthday. I will be home, hopefully getting a lot done.

Dm called earlier and was upset with db. She had stopped to check on him last night and he gave her a piece of his mind. Then she told me that she doesn't belong anywhere, etc. Later db called and he said that he had told her that they should have let dcousins dd come out here without an entourage. He also told her that he CAN"T come to her house and tell her what to do. He also told her that she needs to mind her own business and not everyone elses. Of course, she didn't tell me any of these comments. After talking to her I called both dds. They both told me that she needs to be on antidepressants. So I called her back. She lives in total denial. She told me that she isn't depressed. Well what does she call thinking she doesn't belong anywhere? Then she said she was only upset because db had made her mad and hurt her feelings. So many of our phone calls end with her crying and me feeling helpless. She keeps telling me that she is stronger than her dsisters. Says who? Plus, she is always complaining that now that duncle is gone, her 2 sisters are together all the time. And on and on and on.................

Dd1 is leaving her dh in charge of the kids. Dgs18 will be working and has never caused them any trouble. Dgd15 just posted all kinds of ridiculous pictures and comments on FB. No telling what she will pull with her mom gone. She can really pull the wool over her ddads eyes when dd1 is not around. She should have been grounded a lot longer than she was.

Guess I better head to bed......................
