Lower main floor is finished.
I mopped myself out into the garage and then took some time to tidy up the inside of the car, putting back things we had taken out before the trip and brushing out the inside. Also swept the garage floor.
Another break.
I'm not sure I'll tackle the basement except to carry loads of books that I've scavenged from the Resource Centre down to my preaching library.

Re: Wishing Wednesday
Sadie I can just feel the excitement.
Twins you are tired and trying to get a lot done quickly. It will get better. You have been working hard to get to the point you are in your moving.

Re: Wishing Wednesday
Hello friends. Sitting on the couch with my laptop, awaiting the thunderstorms that are on their way. I hear rumbles nearby, the sky is dark, & the trees are very still. We lost power a few days ago & had some damage due to several on/off/on/off electrical surges before the power went out for good. Fortunately it was only for a few hours, & repairmen have replaced the fried pump.
I'm not plugged in right now in case we get more surges, much as I would like to have the laptop fully charged in case power goes out again. Some towns nearby have been without power 5-7 days at a time in the last few weeks. Felt so bad for everyone without AC in this heat. Before the power came back on I told dh if we got too hot we could always go sit in our car & turn on the AC in there
Washed several loads of laundry today & am pleased that it is all folded & put away. Dh bought some new T shirts in a rainbow of colors so I had several smaller colored loads. Forgot to throw in an old white sock to see if the colors ran. That's my trick to see if next time I can wash different colors together.
Hope everyone is doing well & having a wonderful day

Stay safe and snug, Dove.
Sadie, if I think of bright ideas for meals on the road I'll post them!
((Twins Mom and Dee)) (in same hug). You both were struggling before, too, and I'm not sure I said a word of comfort.
Yesterday evening I was just a JOY to be around here, huh?
And all because I had one bad day.
Indiana could mention, um, gee Harriet, I've just been having a picnic - what was your problem again?
I've gotten a second load of laundry done.

(((Harriet))) EVERYONE has a bad day sometimes! Even you! If you can't tell us about it, who can you tell?
I've been pretty unproductive today, too... s2s, ordered flowers for dfriend whose father passed away, got haircut.
I have helped dh finish up the laundry... and argued a TINY bit with him about it... but all is well.
Have NOT heard from dgbaby * or his parents * since they left Monday... tsk tsk...

"Kids" don't call like we used to, LucyLee, I'm afraid. And we used to have to pay dearly for those calls.
DD took over for DDil today for a while with DGS. She's experiencing a severe reaction to the spinal she had last week. DD and DSGD12 got to feed him his first bottle (with frozen -of course warmed- breast milk). He took it extremely well. He worked himself around in his cradle and all but turned over. He's also been giving REAL smiles to all of us at different times. Keep asking him if he knows he's not supposed to do those yet.
And these are NOT "gas smiles" by any stretch. That's a joy!
Began to feel a little better after dd stopped by this afternoon.
Need to go outside and get in some more steps. I'm trying hard to get closer to that 10,000 mark -have quite a ways to go. Got to do something. These pounds are NOT budging.

Re: Wishing Wednesday
Was washing up the dishes and thought to myself, Indiana will say, "I would never say that!"
I may have a recommendation for a tick-bite ointment that helps - will continue experiment until tomorrow.
Went out on errands after HRH got home, and forgot something we can't do without (of course I did). So HRH and dd are back out again. Sigh. HRH might as well go, since my ddad scolded him off his own couch again. If that wasn't so outrageous it would be funny. Ddad is sound asleep taking up the whole of the claimed couch now. So I can't have television or turn on the overhead light in my own living room if I want to keep peace.
I made the mail in the nick of time today with Dfirstbil's bday card.
Come post with us in H and F, Dee.
blessed!
