Dee, thank you for the link. I will probably get the grill pan. I am always on the look out for something that will cut down on the mess.
Dh is working on the last wall in his garage by prepping it so he can paint. He is in a grumpy mood. Yesterday he ran the weedeater and trimmed all the bushes.

Welcome, scattered! You sure are accomplishing a lot today.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, DEAR NANCY!!
Church was excellent! Ate too much afterward, so not feeling very talkative today. Must need a nap!
See you tomorrow!

Right-o, I have a minute or two to post before my eyes shut. Headache is back so I'm not sure I will be able to sleep but I'll try hard.
Got out of bed at 8:30 and back into bed at 4:10, so almost 8 hours up. At least 1 hour too much. Goodness knows when we'll eat dinner tonight but I won't get out of bed until 6.
Church went ok. BBQ was good. Didn't eat much but had a 1" at the wide part piece of three pies plus a square. Took my Rice Krispie Treats. I could have gone emptyhanded but didn't feel like I should when I knew I get those made before church.
I spent 30 minutes longer at the bbq than I should but the minister had a karaoke machine set up and wanted me to do it with her. I chose Dancing Queen and aced it.
We had three stops to make on the way home. Like Scattered I make up my list choosing one or two stores with the best deals. Since it is only dh and I, there is never a lot to pick up. Turkey is on sale (frozen, stuffed) but they were big so I'll try again later this week. Got everything else, including some greek yoghurt to try.
The meal plan is done for the month, ready for me to enter into Google Calendar.Tonight is soup and sandwiches since we had the bbq at lunch.
Our church musician's husband is coming to pick up the 'elephant' chair. It is a large, winged back chair that is from my grandfather's home. After that house was shut down, my aunt had it and covered it in gold velveteen. Then my sister had it. I was storing for my nephew from her estate. Well, he's grown up now and didn't want it when he came to pick up the rest of his antiques, so I've got it. It is horsehair stuffed and uncomfortable and heavy (plus ugly.) So I'm thrilled that someone I know and love wants the chairs and is excited about it. But there's a part of me that remembers sitting on Granddaddy's lap while he read me fairy tales and I'm a little sad to see it go.
As well, later, one of us (probably dh) has to get another church member back on the internet using our backup system.
So, while I'm sleeping, I'm assuming a lot will happen.
Tomorrow, dh is out in the morning, the afternoon and the evening. I intend to stay home but might invite my bosom buddy over to visit while our husbands are off having coffee together in the morning.
Scattered Just to bring you quickly up to speed, I have some sort of liver inflammation and am tired all the time so not as productive as usual. It is just dh and I, now. Our kids are grown and out of the house. You feel familiar to me so I'm wondering if we've met in the past. Glad you just jumped in and got going. It is good for me to see things getting done somewhere!

It is very good to see you jumping right in and posting, Scattered. Not everyone does so it's enjoyable to see! You're fitting right in!
Went around the pond to see a dfriend who has been going through chemo. Glad I did. Haven't seen him in a while but she has been here off and on. She and I became closer after their dson passed away 2 years ago. He used to work here with dh and she and I found we had a lot in common, having both lost dks. Not that we discuss it much, but we have found a comraderie.
Guess dgs12 is going to race his mini stock tonight (shudder). DH thinks he may drive down.
LucyLee how old is your dgs now? I can not believe ours will be 8 weeks on Tuesday. Wow! That 8 weeks flew! DDIL is scheduled to go back to work on Wednesday and the other dks to school that day. I know she's having a really hard time thinking of going back.

Okay so DS19 just got home and said that the roads are terrible... as in I might need and Ark to get back home, guess errands will wait till tomorrow.
Not sure what to do for dinner, guess I'll go look and remind DS13 about the dishes.
I sent a PM to Harriet but I guess I could post my question here, do ya'll have somewhere where you discuss cleaning products or specifically homemade cleaning products?
Thanks to DeeClutter, Lilac, Harriet and everyone else for the shoutouts. When I said I was an active member on the other sites... I was probably understating my involvement. If you don't see me on for a few days please send me a PM to kick me in the "youknowwhere"

Welcome scattered! I have a ds18, dd16, and dd14. I'm always tickled to see other SHEs here with school-aged children. I also appreciate the grandmothers here. I learn so much from all of you!
I'm heading out for a jog with dh whenever he's done with whatever he's doing on his computer. Dfriends S and R will be here for dinner tonight.

I love how the little synopsis of our lives pop out with a new friend. Nice.
Our long story/short. DH and I sold our house about 2 years ago and moved full-time to a campground near us. Last year we bought a "Park Model" and love living in it. Winters we go stay with our dd/dsil and gd14 in mid-Florida. We have 2 other sons here with blended families. Our youngest dd(Shelley) passed away in 2009 (from sleep apnea). DS-R & DDIL#1 have a ds7 and she has 2 dds 21 & 25 (youngest gave birth today to our newest family member). DS-A has a ds12 and ddil#2 has 3 children and they added a new little boy to our midst nearly 8 weeks ago. Her youngest dd is 15 days older than our dgs. Keep life interesting. (They had a little girl together last year but she only lived a few hours.) So our last few years have been busy.
DD from FL spends her summers up here in their Motor Home. She teaches so has the summer off. DS-R has 5th wheel here and they spend their summer here as well. Guess that's us in sort of a nutshell.
I've been around the SHE boards since probably 1992 or 1993. Not sure. We've had this 'home' for 5 years (Oct 1st) and most of us were together on another site for maybe 3 years before that. We all like our little home on the web. Think I told you before you would find it a very welcoming and loving village.
