Kathryn, Good Luck at the specialist next week and enjoy the car. It's cold up there!
Scattered, Sometimes I "name" my days on my to do list or in emails to friends. Thursday (to me) is Thinking Thursday.
But in early a.m. it's hard to think!
Hello, Elizabeth. Oh-oh. Too much ginger? Was it too terribly noticeable?
I hope not. Do you also crochet AND do at, too? You're creative, too!
Dee, I'll need to try reading with my eyes closed!
I'm way behind on my reading (and writing!) and my eyes seem closed more than open on some days.
What does 3D mean?
3 dailies?
Helia, My DDIL used to be in a moms group when she had 2 little ones, but now they have 6, ages 17 mos., 3 1/2, 9 in Oct., 12, 14 in Nov. and 15 1/2. They have good friends and neighbors as a support network, because the last 2 babies were 3-month preemies.
Cowinkie, I'm glad at least someone got their morning coffee!
I had an 11:30 a.m. dr. appt. and had to pass on a.m. coffee, until this afternoon at home.Oh, Willis has Valley Fever! Oh, no. Vet bills are so expensive, too, but pet health is the priority because our pets are our kids- practically!
I know I forgot to say hello to every single person who posted on page 1 here in PWYC, so "Hello!" to you now. If I would just bring a steno pad to my laptop to make notes, it would be less embarrassing
when I overlook somebody!
PODA
1- Go to the dr.
X did that!
2- Walk 30 min. (Might not happen today, as I'm still fighting the infection.)
3- Reading
X I read my mail and a Debbie Macomber newsletter and plan on more reading this afternoon and evening
4- To finish writing a letter I started 2 days ago.
X I'm almost done!
5- To bake sweet potatoes,
X so DH will bake them for dinner, so I hope it's "okay" to count him doing my work on my poda.
Ta Da
1- stripped the bed
2- started the sheets in the washer on a timer to wash later, while we were gone, so it sounds like someone's "home".
3- to empty the DW (was on my list, but DH beat me to it!)
4- I sorted the mail and have 2 letters to go read now
5- Answered some emails
6- Hung up some clothes
7- downloaded some books
I saw the dr., the cellulitis of the ear has spread to the lymph system because the antibiotics were started 24 hours later than expected. Pharmacy had to order them. Now the left back of the head, left neck and ear are infected, so the Epsoms heat pack will be over a larger area. If the ear comes to a head anywhere, over the weekend, my dr. said to go to ER to have an incision and drainage made. I see my dr. early next week again. This is my 4th appt. within 2 weeks.
I feel lethargic at times, I've let my house "go", but am putting out hot spots when I can and just do what I can and am not obsessing over it because I've got the infection. I am trying to do things I enjoy, like writing letters, reading, etc... while I'm down. I also walk around while holding my heat pack on, to get a bit of exercise.
By having the PODA and Ta Da, I feel more empowered and like I'm at least doing "something". Being able to come here, to read and post helps, too.
I don't feel like a "so alone sickie". I'm able to take my silly mind off myself and enjoy reading about everybody else' lives so much. I like it here because I instantly felt "At Home" here. I really DID! Everyone plopped out the Welcome Mat and warmly invited me in. I think that's great that all of you have a place full of warmth and comradery. (I can't spell that!)
But you'll know what I mean. Anyway, Thank YOU ALL, for making me feel welcome and you're all a great group.
Have a great later afternoon and evening, too.
