Hello Ladies,

Finally able to get on here tonight.

Only a pleasure Harriet about the tip for Bonnie. I only usually see her on the weekend quiltcam. When she does them, it's usually 9pm Eastern so that's early hours of the morning for me during the week.

I'm collecting her new mystery called Easy Street.

Anyway, today was a very trying day. My supervisor returned to work today from his week's holiday. It doesn't seem to be that I can do much right at the moment.

Lighter news, my DS's GF is 11 weeks pregnant so I'm going to be a Nanna next year June time.

I wish that I could be a SAHM......I would like to get my home sorted. I'm troubled with the way it is now......but baby steps are going to be in order and just to get started will be an achievement now. I'm so drained after work each day. Okay, enough whinging, Lisa.

My mojo came from notes I took from a TV sermon yesterday of things to "delcare" so wrote up affs. to tweak and work on. Also getting 5 things done before posting here seems to be working really well for me and helps me to feel like at least that part of my day is a success!

It was 30* outside and felt like 22* the weather ch. said chicken waterer had ice so I"ll be taking out warm water for them in the mornings now I need to tweak my routine to do that and check it in the p.m. as well.

Dgd & I are playing in leaves today.

Thank you Mystery. About being a SAHM, I've never had the opportunity yet. I've worked part time from the age of 16 to 19. From 19, I've worked full time outside of the home. I really would like to be at home for a while, but we just cannot afford for me to quit my job.

Sorry, I cannot help you about the jewellery, Harriet. Hmm, that reminds me, I'm going to need my wedding ring set re-sized smaller a tad bit.

Harriet: yes, there are rings that can't be resized. Sometimes going smaller will put too much strain on the setting. As for the 12 week wait. That is unacceptable. It took about 10 weeks for my new ring to be custom designed, mocked up, stones purchased, gold purchased, cast, set, polished and presented to me. Oh, and the shop was shut for 2 weeks of that time and we were on holiday for 2 weeks of that time and not the same two weeks, so that slowed down final approval and sizing appointments.

I'm at a stand still. Dfs came and went. Brought the wrong teriyaki sauce so ds is disappointed. He left with a cane. He is obviously sick but in better shape than ds because he has a job with benefits, including short term disability. So there will be some money coming in. His fiance promised to check in on him daily and to update me with any progress (she and I are FB friends.) He did like having the cane, as he left, he said, "I wonder how this works..." and then "oooh, that's better already!" as he took a few steps.

finished most of my Christmas shopping this morning especially for dh - I just feel like I have so much clutter coming in (from my purchases) but hopefully I will be ready for Christmas.

heading out again - getting candy for St. Nicholas day Dec. 6th. (I have to send it out early to dd older)

OH My. This will probably be the most I've ever spent on a washrag. Two plumbing crews are working. They are now working on the 3rd cleanout hole. For this one they brought in a ditcher and blade. Cha-Ching! Cha-ching! On the bright side......our sewer pipes will be very clean.

Harriet, sorry to read about your ring. I'm thinking the place they would order a replacement is probably overseas somewhere and will take a while, going through customs, etc.

I've been wanting to have my wedding ring sized for many years. I haven't been able to wear it as it's too small. It's a difficult ring to size because the diamonds are channel set. I don't personally know any jewelers who do this kind of work, so I've been reluctant to take it anywhere. Most jewelers would send it out somewhere (I don't want that) or would keep it for weeks until they could work on it (I don't want that either). So, I just wear a little band I have instead and every year toward Christmas I long to have it done...but never do.
