It is 7:30 and we haven't eaten yet.
That needs to be the next priority.

Just ideal, Twins' Mom. So sorry about the long drives. Does your dnephew live near ATL? I hope nutrition is high on caregivers' lists.

The "Homework Help" thread is posted in Organization and Simplification forum.
My throat is sore from shouting so my ddad can hear me, as I fuss about his recent refusals to eat. I did find cookies in his room and realize that could be part. I truly suspect his appetite is waning, though. It doesn't help that he is convinced I'm trying to feed him a second supper. (No, he's remembering last evening) HRH says he will press to get ddad to go on short walks with him more often to help with appetite.
I had a hope of getting to some sewing today, but it never happened. A little disappointed.
I've been so grateful for this weekend with its non-alarm mornings. Wish it could continue but no there's a 5 alarm week ahead.

back to Wmart -- b/c in talking to ds, on the phone on the way home, found out HE needed to go to Wmart to get formula for tomorrow...

Now...
to eat supper
put activity seat together
grade some papers
exercise
I told him that my Hanukkah gift was the tobacco basket I purchased for myself, and his part of the gift was letting me hang it where I want
LOL!!! I love it,

Good evening everyone!
Good day today. I really enjoy going to the church in inner city Detroit! It is a nice counter balance to our church. I love the racial integration and the amazing enthusiasm that comes with different styles of worship. The preacher is really good; he wasn't just giving a sermon -- he was preaching!! He is white but much (2/3??) of the congregation is not and his style reflects that a bit.
We drove back home and got Panera bagels and made some scrambled eggs for lunch. This afternoon, I picked up an unfinished knitting project, a very simple one - a scarf with a textured pattern. I knit about 4 more inches on it this afternoon!! I bet no one here ever thought they'd hear me say I did something craftsy. 
I was inspired by finding some unfinished projects in the boxes from the attic that I went through yesterday. Including ds' baby sweater -- which is almost done. I just need to sew up the sleeves and lace a ribbon around the collar. LOL!! Then, I called my parents and chatted with them for a while. Ddad actually asked about how ds was doing, etc. so that was nice.
I made my rice salad recipe for dinner tonight. This was the salad I was going to make for the moms group party Thursday night. It was very good, definitely a keeper. It called for fig vinegar, and I think that made a difference. I'm still not sure I used fig vinegar; I used "fig infused balsamic vinegar." But it did have a figgy taste. Ds joined us for dinner tonight but had to go back for a hall meeting and homework and maybe a physics review session. S and R joined us too but also had to leave early.
Ds will be coming home next week! Ds' last final is over at 6 pm on the 17th. He may come home the night of the 17th and then go back the 18th to pack up and properly move out. Or I may just move him out the 18th. I think finals here run the 13th - 20th.
We decided not to go get a tree this afternoon after all. It was raining.
Dh has made a fire in the fireplace; the girls are also sitting in the living room doing homework. We have some mellow music playing. It is a very peaceful cozy evening.

Forgot -- the concert last night was really excellent. It was Diana Reeves, a well-known jazz singer. My, she has a big and amazingly beautiful voice!

My team won Seahawks 58-0 over the Cardinals. Thinking I might like to knit something in their colors if I can ever find that neon green it was gone last time I was at the fabric store where they have multicolored yarn in NFL colors. Harriet I hear you I did not get back to the sewing room after what I did the other day.
Chicken have gotten leaves added to their pen and they are tucked in for tonight it is not supposed to be so cold so that helps.
Dinner is done ~ I'm SO glad I cooked for planned leftovers today made the day much easier.
We did not try to make it to church we were still in recoup mode around here and it was pretty cold still at ten when the service started.

New song sheets are finished.
Dh worked on them while I was asleep and then more editing while adding chords to his master. He found several where lines were completely reversed in verses.
We needed 13 more sets so I scanned the first six pages of our old set and printed those off (was going to copy but scanning and printing is faster and leaves us with a soft copy as well as a hard copy.) Then we printed off 25 sets of the new ones (which have page numbers that follow on the old ones.) In total there are 24 or 25 different Christmas carols/songs.
We then practiced our 3 solo pieces. So we should be set for tomorrow.
It is now snowing hard and very windy. Tomorrow is supposed to be nasty so I may not make it to the city as planned.
In between that work (during printing or pauses while waiting for dh), I got the kitchen tidied up from dinner (which was just french toast) and the dishwasher started. A second load of laundry was dried and folded and a third load just went into the dryer.
Tomorrow is insanely busy - actually, the whole week is. Ugh.
