good afternoon dear everyone.
surface mess here from everyone yesterday and Christmas. So my goal first is to do a room by room put away congo
my first goal is to s2s's (pretending I am going to work as a cleaner in my house - hey I can clean anyone else's house easily and it doesn't seem like work as I am helping them... so pretending I am going to someone else's house!

)

Hello
Villagers!
Welcome to
itneverends, too! Hello!
We're taking our decorations down this weekend after DD and dgrson visit us. We're celebrating her turning 41 on the 30th. She doesn't know which day she's coming down. I need to dust, dust mop, tidy, and DH will do toilets and vacuum.
My new books come tomorrow, too, so I'll be working on them along with journaling, as I read them. They're something I'm doing for "me" for the New Year.
The first book is: "One Perfect Word," by Debbie Macomber and the word I chose to work on this year is "Discipline".
The other book is: "A Confident Heart - How to Stop Doubting Yourself & Live in the Security of God's Promise," by Renee Swope. I had thought it was a diet book because I have the free companion book to it on my Nook!

It's called, "The Seven-Day Doubt Diet." I "thought" it was about doubting that you could stay on a diet. So now I'll be reading a religious book. It's fine. I might learn something and when it comes to my doubting myself, I'm a big one for doing that. I tried cancelling the book, too, but it had already gone through. Now I'm looking forward to it, so maybe it was just mean to be this way!
Have a great Friday! My focus will be reading and the house, plus making little 4" scrubbies for my face washing when I take make-up off.
BBL.

Sorry I've been AWOL for a couple of days. We've been working with the contractor about the remodeling job and trying to plan things out.
We also went shopping the day after Christmas (just in tiny town - not Phoenix) and picked up some 50% off Christmas Decorations. I looked for something to wear for New Year's but didn't find anything.
I did find some Christmas fabric at the quilt store so I can decorate my sweatshirts for next year's holidays.
Today we have to get some boxes and start taking things off the wall. I removed two of the gazillion trim pieces last night. They come off easy but have many, many tiny nails and staples that I also have to take out. I will be busy as a bee for the next few weeks getting the walls ready for fixing.
The contractor will be putting on bullnose corners and skim coating the walls to give it an adobe finish. Then we will paint and he will come back to put down crown molding and base board.
TTFN - time to get the body moving and find the boxes.

No time to cuop but will ci. I came home for lunch. Exsonil is with dgd16. They want her up and moving to get that air bubble moved out. Her dad is on a mission to get her better and out of the hospital. I am going to run an errand before I check in with dd2 again. She was headed to the hospital as I was leaving.
I had called dm to tell her about dgd16. Then at noon she called and said she didn't know if she would come or not. That dgd3 would probably be the only person who cared that she didn't. She will decide tomorrow what she is going to do. I really don't need her poor me attitude right now. That sounds terrible just saying that but right now my priority is helping dd2. Dm had started in that dd2 has no business having a business, etc.

I ran errands, got home and unloaded and started chicken soup and the challah. Had to go back to store

for onion for soup, however. I've tried to take a nap and it didn't take. The doorbell rang with a challah dropped off for dh for his birthday on Sunday (from the Chabad rabbi, long story.) I couldn't get my mind to slow down but my body is tired.
-shape the challah that is in the breadmaker
-check on chicken to see whether it is cooked
-clear kitchen counters
-empty dishwasher
-put away the rest of the groceries

Off for my nap now.
Successful morning. Dropped of dsil at his next round of tests for this job position (goodness knows when/if he'll hear anything) and then dd at a friends' house. Dh and I went to a local mall with an Apple store and he had a meeting with the Genius bar folks. Turns out the crashing of him computer is due to a failed motherboard. So that will be replaced at no charge under warranty but the work won't happen for another couple of weeks.
We dropped off his shoes to be resoled; my moccasins were not worth resoling, so I bought a new pair with rabbit trim. I exchanged some tops my dh bought me that were too small and bought two new ones (both 1/2 off.) Then dsil called to say he was ready to be picked up so we got him, had lunch, hit Staples (the right sort of gel pens for dd since the ones I put in her stocking weren't what she wanted), the Italian grocery (for dsil to get some sausage for tomorrow's dinner), and I stooped in at the Christian bookstore and got another nativity set (this makes 12) and some other trinkets for myself.
Back to drop dd's cell phone off with her, then to the mall to get the shoes. By then it was so busy that we came around from the back in order to not get caught in traffic and dh dropped me and I ran it and out fast.
General store for the mail, our church and the other church to return hymn books, then picked up snowshoes we are borrowing for tomorrow's family outing.
So, yes, I'm ready for my nap.

I've enjoyed reading, especially DSunny's Christmas report last night. I could picture her sitting there watching the service on TV with their candles. I'm sure glad you did not have a fire in the house. I would be going around feeling all the switch/plug plates to see if any other ones were warm.
(Lilac) your family does have their challenges. Hope DGD feels better soon. At this point she may not be so happy she was so anxious to have that surgery.
How long is your family staying, Kathryn?
I woke early this AM but had a very bad tummy ache and was sure I was going to be sick, so I just went back to sleep. Slept most of the morning away. I am good now, don't know what that was all about.
Whittling down the paperwork. Did my W-2's and W-3. I could do them online and submit that way, but not sure I have the right ado be version to print out copies for us and the employees. Really going to check that out for next year. Doing stuff with my typewriter is too slow.
We have been getting a lot of rain. And it's very dark. We really need the moisture, but it seems so cold to me. 40's - 60's today. Cold for us. I was out with DDog in a little mist and I'm chilled.

The 2 books arrived TODAY!
Decided to work on 1 book at a time, so chose Debbie Macomber's, "One Perfect Word," to do first.
I tidied up my end tables, washed towels, loaded and ran the DW, and rested about 30 minutes.
It's cloudy with on and off showers. Need to dust, dust mop, etc.... Didn't celebrate Christmas with DD and dgson-16 yet, so will do that this weekend. Hence the reason why Christmas decor is still in place. Her b-day's the 30th, so we'll celebrate that at the same time. Want to get the house into shape after Christmas Eve with our dson's family of 8. It's not messy, but can use a vacuuming, dusting and dust mopping. DH will do toilets and I'll dump the trash.
Read some print-outs on goals, setting boundaries, etc... Put them away, in my nightstand drawer to re-read again.
There's not enough dirty laundry to do another load.
I need to write my old art teacher and give him my phone number. I probably should do that today.
He's a sweet little old man in his 90's. I located him on the internet after a very lengthy search. Wrote him a card/letter, I got a card/note from him Christmas Eve, and I'm delighted. I was 30-31 when I studied with him and now I'm turning 61. He said he's not much of a writer, but excels on the phone.
I'm looking forward to chatting with him. He's humorous, honest, kind, and a real kick in the pants- in a good way!
And he's always encouraging and motivating, too. He's a widower now. I'm going to adopt him as my "dad" because I've lost my natural father and 2 step-dads now.
I'm just jabbering. I guess my walk prior to lunch turned me into a chatty Cathy.
Have a great afternoon-evening.
