Arrgghhh! GD is back home -has been for almost an hour! DD had thought I'd have the day to myself so I could get lots done (Dsonil is in the shed -working on his artwork). GD had a friend over from Thursday early until last night. She went to friend's at that point and dd was under the conclusion that they were picking her up on their way home tonight. Imagine they might have had her long enough. The great room is nice and tidy and I can only hope it will stay that way. I doubt it -as she's mad that mom went away today.

I'm still waiting for any more reports to come in. Want so bad to finish this report up today. Would be so nice to have it done!!!

Have been picking up in our room -one item at a time.

back to paper taming. The trouble is, everything requires decisions..why did I save it, do I still need it, where should I save it (scan, file) or should it be trashed...in recycling or shred? I am working on a stack from the basket that lives on the kitchen counter.

room to room put away most done (with just dh and I the continued put away is much easier)
now some planning and then exercise and then shower

Actually we really don't do resolutions - at Christmas (sounds sillY) we give ourselves a gift of what we want to learn or do in the year. only one thing. dd younger does this for herself and I do to. dd always has continual goals - very focused person. Dh never has goals; he is happy going day by day.

Hi d helia dh does the same as your dh. he thinks by calling the bank regularly to see the daily balance that he knows the exact money spent..it really doesn't work all the time. Also wonderful that you are learning to say no! It is hard at first but oh so nice for you and your family

I still struggle with this, Helia! When we moved, I had boxes and boxes of stuff like that for me and dkids, and boxes and boxes of photos. All still sitting upstairs unpacked.

Sidetracked for sure....distracted by email re: temple volunteer who is supposed to be upgrading website - he has quit and I'm not sure if he's not really qualified or if the support is as bad as he says.

Also a Jewish community email...

I have been busy, folded two large hampers of laundry, run 2 lol's, pulled down the shower curtain to wash, made the cabbage rolls (in fridge until time to bake them), used extra to make an unrolled cabbage casserole for my lunch this week. Need to finish cooking prepping freezer meals.

Y'all can just imagine that I still have everything... all ds's trophies & plaques, etc... all still displayed in what used to be his bedroom, just like he still lived here. Only thing that changed is the bed is gone.

I also have all pictures organized chronologically in albums, up until the past year or so. One summer I just really got wrapped up in that and got it done. Until then, most pictures were in their little paper folders in boxes.
I still get prints of everything. I figure electronic data is always uncertain, and ds/ddil may not print everything, so someday, dgs & I will enjoy looking back at all these pictures of him in his baby days.

I am STILL having SUCH a struggle deciding what to do w/journals, etc. I haven't kept up with one very well at all since dgs was born... but I have somewhat, and I have maybe a dozen 5x8 notebooks that I sorta think... ooohhh... I should just trash it ALL -- as Mr. Helia said -- don't want anyone to have to deal with it when I'm gone. Then I think... nah... maybe I SHOULD keep them. It's constantly in the back of my mind. It's like I am COMPELLED to write things down... and then I am TERRIFIED that someone will read it and think I'm stupid, or crazy. It's nothing bad -- but sometimes focuses in a little too much maybe on my anxieties.

But... progress being made here...

* walked away the pounds 15 minutes and did my little 5 minute wake-up routine
* stripped the bed, sheets in the dryer
* 2nd load of clothes in the washer
* caught up w/today's Daily Bible Reading
* ate breakfast
* cleaned/aired out vaporizer
* watched Bonanza & Big Valley while doing most of the other stuff
I think I mentioned this the other day, but I have noticed that women in these old Westerns NEVER sit around in their housecoats wasting time. This should be inspiring to me, shouldn't it?
Stomach still feels a little tight and shaky... but I'm moving on... getting stuff done...

Y'all, PLEASE forgive me for not responding more personally... my mind just will not focus right now... but it helps SOOO much to come here and get some reassurance and guidance to stay on track! Thank you all for being here!

can you take a picture of misc. trophies and the name plate (or keep name plate) if the dkids don't want to keep them. maybe they just want a couple?

Resolutions? Did I make any at the beginning of this year? I don't remember.

I do have several things that I want to improve in near future. I don't think of them as resolutions but I do have them on my prayer list.
** I want to learn, seek and stretch myself out of my comfort zone
** I want to be healthy and limber
** I want to maximize my use of limited time given to me.
