Kathryn- either one (-2 or 10) sounds VERY cold to me!

I've been outside working in the garden. I was wearing 3 layers of clothing plus a fur lined hooded vest. Although I had gloves on, my fingers went numb with cold so I had to stop working and come inside. I'm sorta embarrassed to say I got this cold since we have bright sunshine and 44 degrees. It would take a powerful amount of training to get this body used to being in "real" cold weather.

I just called and left message in an effort to get into the Master Gardener Program. If I don't hear back from them, I will call again in the morning.

There was no wind today so it wasn't bad hanging out the sheets. But they didn't get all that dry. They were out for 6 hours and took another 15 minutes in the dryer. That's better than usual 60 - 70, plus they'll smell great on Friday when I put them on the bed but it isn't as good as in the summer when I'll put out load 1 and by the time the washer has finished load 2, load 1 is ready to come off the line.

I'm fallen off the WW program big time today. My TOM had better show up this week! I'm over-emotional, had a headache and can't stop eating.

Ds is coming out for dinner and will sleep over night. Not sure why (on the sleeping part, we are having roast beef so the dinner part is obvious!)

Scattered: Put the song on and dh said, "Great Song!" I agree it is a great tune but the theology of the words is awful.

Choir was great. We spent an hour planning which was a hoot because we had to tell her all the Sundays we aren't around which is a lot between now and July 16th. It includes me skipping the Ash Wednesday service so I can babysit the boys for her! Yay! (I don't like the service.) After the planning, we spent 40 minutes learning a mash-up she found. Dh will accompany us on the guitar and it will be a girl-duet. I recorded it on my phone to make sure the harmonies I'm making up sound good and the recording is awful but good enough for me to know that the harmonies are ok (and there could be more if I can figure them out between now and Sunday.)

Hello! I was mindful today before I came here and saw the title. I had to take something to DH at jobsite, which was a good drive away, and it was a dumb item, and I was a little irked, but I did it and took care of the "problem" for him. Thought on the way back that I need to be an "example" for employee and not gripe about stuff, even if the request is stupid. Still shaking my head over the whole thing.

I also have laundry outside, but it's high 70's here. I agree with OKay, it'd be hard to get used to cold weather like Kathryn has after years in the heat.

Worked in the bathroom today. Got the closet done. It's 5' wide with 5 shelves. Got 3/4 of the sink done (the cabinets and stuff underneath). I still have the medicine cabinet to do, a couple drawers and underneath DH's sink which should go fast. Floor and woodwork, etc., is all scrubbed. Now I know everything that I have and won't be buying doubles.

I guess I could go back there and finish, but I'll be making dinner soon, so I'll wait. It's nice to be this far, anyway.

Hello all you mindful folks!

Light snow here all day. I stayed in and played with curtains. Did a little reworking of some curtains I already had to make them fit my last two windows that were still covered with sheets! After 14 months here, it was time to get the sheets down!!

Also cleared off half the dining room table. It was covered with puzzles we worked after Christmas--dumped those in the trash. Nice to have my table back!

Pizza for supper. DH and I will be consoling ourselves since our team will not be in the Superbowl this year. Need to color my hair tonight. I usually put it off for a week or so. We will see...
How you do your work is a portrait of yourself.

Dinner is started, ds is here. We talked about moving and what things he doesn't want us to part with. He wants the dining table (yay!!!!) when he gets a place big enough for it (that could be forever!) Dd wants the piano but has no interest in the dining table at all.

I need to write my nephew since I still have two pieces of his furniture.

hi again. most dailies are done, animal care (except I can't find the dog brush ;), laundry room swiped and top of washer/dryer combo wiped down, floor vacuumed, and swiffered.

my dinner is a salad but with it being 6 degrees I think I planned wrong

Hello, everyone!
I've enjoyed my holiday, but I've been busy all day. Of course, I slept pretty late...
Then took dmom's tax stuff to CPA office -- about 20 miles away...
Then Wmart for groceries, and back to town for pimento cheese for dmil...
Then to dmil's to deliver her groceries...
and now home.
Waiting on ds & dgs to come over. DS is eating with us -- but we're not having roast beef, Kathryn, LOL!
We're having chili out of a can and leftover pizza. DS & dh love this chili, though -- W o l f chili. Ernest Tubb used to talk about it on the E T Midnight Jamboree (radio show) ... and it used to be that you couldn't get it east of the Mississippi, I guess, so he'd make a big deal about it. Now it's easily available, but dh & ds are sure it is much better than any other brand. It is good.
I also managed to strip the bed and the sheets in the washer... and they are now finished with the dryer... so I've got to get the bed made up again.
Also talked to dmom on the phone. Ddad is in the isolation room now... so... MUCH prayer needed. I've called him twice though, and he didn't answer, so maybe his friends are keeping him busy on the phone.

Also want to
[ ] iron
[ ] exercise
[ ] watch Downton Abbey * IF my dvd recorded correctly last night *
[ ] grade some papers
[ ] finish the Sat/Sun chores I ignored this weekend.

With ds & dgs coming over, these are pretty high hopes, but I'll try to ci later and let y'all know how it goes!

Mindful? I don't know if I should be mindful or not! My mind usually is not very good to me...

Chili is a much better choice at 6 degrees, blessed! Brrrrr.... I'm FREEZING and it's supposedly only 43 degrees here!

I can totally relate to OKay's comments! Glad I didn't have to do outside work today!!!

Elly, our team lost yesterday, too. (No Super Bowl for Atlanta.) DH says he doesn't really care who wins now, but I think AU has at least one player on each team. I'll enjoy watching for the commercials, LOL.

Waving to Harmony... I am sooo jealous of your 70 degree weather!!!
WTG on all you've accomplished in the bathroom! I need to be following your example.

(((Kathryn))) for the PMS/TOM symptoms...

scattered (((HUGS))) -- and WTG -- you've done so much more sick than I do well! Hope you feel better soon!

Waving to INE, MT, Elizabeth, Nancy... Dee... Twins... Harriet... and EVERYONE!!! Hope y'all have a good evening!
Tomorrow is another day.

:D Good Afternoon & Evening, Villagers! :D

A quick CI: I cannot believe how "late" I've signed in here, when I was up at 7:45 a.m.! :!: I got sidetracked!

My Ta Da:
- Sent BFF links for the Mayo Clinic Diet Book/Journal.
- Took a nap in the recliner under a warm blanket & my kitty cat. ;)
- s2s, Prayers & Journal
- Got emails done.
- When my Mayo Clinic Diet Journal's full, I decided to date pages (both sides) on a steno pad, to continue the diet. This is so funny, true, but weird! The steno pad's diet dates start on Mon. April Fool's Day  and ENDS on Nov. 28, Thursday, which is Thanksgiving! After that, I don't know if I'll diet immediately the day after Thanksgiving throughout the holidays into the New Year, or stop at Thanksgiving and resume on New Year's Day 2014. :?:
- I watched some of the Inauguration, too.
- I rinsed out DH's coffee mug for him.

My To Do:
- Write a Costco list for DH.
- Tidy my spot on the eating bar where I keep my small home journal, to do/ta da lists.
- Write a letter to BFF/Fitness pal and get her mailer together. (Sending a book on bereavement.)
- Write my a.m. list and get out my list for ta da's for tomorrow.
- Set my dawn simulator. (Want to be "ready" before DH leaves at 9:40 a.m.)
- Swish & Swipe, dump trash from all waste baskets
- To sit my fanny down in a chair and read numerous "Woman's World" short romantic stories and short mini-mysteries from their magazine. I've saved those stories for several years, trimmed down to fit page protectors, I need to study the market if I'm going to submit to them, so have my "homework" cut out for me. :!:

I absolutely LOVED the "Mindful Monday" opener, too! Good one! :D

Lucylee, I have a BFF who saw an episode of "Downtown Abbey", she fell in love ♥ with it, so she bought past years' series! She said it's a wonderful show! :D

Trying to cuop, so am waving to everyone! Have a super-duper later afternoon and evening, too. :D

Hi everyone, I'm back again. This was the list I wanted to get done at payroll:

Call about an injured cat (not one of mine) - DONE
Call about the leak in my ceiling - not done, need to do tomorrow
Call about DD10's bank account - DONE
Get vet appointment for foster cat (rabies shot) - DONE
Email dFriend for birthday - DONE
Get vet appointment for resident cat (annual exam, shots) - DONE

While I am cooking tonight, I think I will try to get the kitchen clean up completed. The problem is the raging hotspot on the table. I really need to clear off enough so that DD and I can actually eat there Saturday. We have been eating there, but it is always a trial to clear enough space for us. I want to put the tablecloth back on too.
