I know these feelings:
I think we kept each other up by worrying about each other. - Cowinkie

... and of course I now have K ohl's cash, so will have to go back next week. - ellyphant

My plan was Sunny's plan for morning housework, but it didn't turn out for us.

This has not been a good day insofar as accomplishing anything, or feeling comfortable in the house. My ddad has had a bad day and we are cooped up because of the weather. HRH and dd left the house for the first and only time in mid-afternoon, just to get the newspaper and mail. They got a photo of the house as they turned around on the way back.

Definitely has looked like a winter wonderland here, after it finished looking like a horizontal blizzard. Strange how the whitest, brightest windows give headaches - this time it was HRH with one. I suppose if you get used to it rather than having it change back and forth, it doesn't do that.

Yesterday was HRH's regular check up and yet I felt like I was having to lead them through it from the house. Mistake after mistake. They did not check his B-12, which is ridiculous for a patient who is constantly in danger of deficiency. (At one time he had to have weekly injections at their office.) They did not check his Vit D, also ridiculous for a patient for whom they have had to prescribe pharmaceutical doses twice. I don't know if it will be possible to get this handled with the blood draw they already took - conflicting answers on that. One person says they can since Monday is the "next" day, another says no because the point is how long it's been since the blood draw, not working days. And HRH is especially bothered by the claustrophobia aspect of blood draws.

The boys were gone by 5. We had hot chocolate, crackers and cheese and then frozen blueberries. Made the mistake of letting one of them out of my sight and later found blueberry stains on the walls. Thankfully I have egg-shell paint finish so most washed off and the magic eraser took the rest. While I was working on it, I kept thinking that their mom would have to live with it after I moved if it didn't come off!

Dh and I had a quick dinner and then I rested a bit. I think the sermon is done now. I'm working on the last of the prayers and worrying about the children's conversation. They won't talk to me, because, as dh pointed out, I'm a stranger. Not sure how to change that.

Hi everyone! I stayed up way too late working on dNiece's doll dress. However, the design work on the underskirt is done and now all I have to do on it is double crochet ad infinitum, then crochet the lace, which does not need a redesign. I got up late and forgot dFosterCat13's morning meds, but I did make it to the adoption clinic on time. DFosterCat13 did not go, but the other two did. We had two new volunteers! Someone almost decided to adopt dFosterCat10, but decided on getting TWO of our hardest to place. However, it is possible that the intake committee won't approve them because it is a smoking house. (I think they should approve them, but I am not on the committee). DD11 has just arrived, unavoidably late, so no roof work tonight. I will have to do some tomorrow. I have a LOL running, rice that is nearly done cooking. I need to update Quicken and work on a box and clean the room the cat was isolated in. We survived the party yesterday. However, XDH's other woman was there (her son is DD11's favorite friend). And worse, her worst enemy pestered her into telling him the time and place of the party and HE showed up!!! I told her never to tell him anything again! DD wants to watch Happy Feet Two and that requires the computer, so I must go. See you probably tomorrow.

Service is finished. That's cutting it awfully close, but I took time off at one point because I needed to find an anthem for next week. Unfortunately, the suggestions I had proved unworkable so dh and I will probably just do something together and not include the choir.

I need to practice the sermon a few times and dh is currently drumming so now would be a good time. Then we are off to bed. Hopefully by 10.

Hey, I met my stated goal of pizza for lunch! :D
Other than that, not a whole lot going on after the morning's flurry of updating financial spreadsheets & reports for the sewing group, and sending out a preliminary budget.
3Ds as usual for humans and cats.
Caught up on reading posts here and Emails.
Decluttered a few small boxes full of papers and books from my office.
Had a bowl of veggie soup for supper.
I should probably check FB for family news, and then I can watch a couple short sewing shows on DVR.

Hello, everybody!
I am still alive! Just MIA.
I think I have a cold and I am just EXHAUSTED. We've been to college town for basketball game and 3 innings of baseball game. Much too cold to stay longer! (We got in free w/basketball ticket, so it was no loss. DH was ready to go, too.)

Drama in the high school. Yes, IKWYM, Harriet! Hope all is well w/dd's school. Like Cowinkie said, our students are not generally upset by the drug dog's presence -- it's just an exciting diversion in the day for most of them. Only happens a couple or so times each year for us, though. Can't really remember the last time I saw the dog at school, actually. We have a full-time (I think) resource officer now, though. Just a precaution -- we haven't had any threats or anything.

(((BIG HUGS))) also for (((Harriet & family))) re: elder care issues.

I have just BARELY cuop. Not really enough to say I have -- but I noticed those two posts from Harriet.

I am exhausted and totally overwhelmed with all I need to be doing. I am going to bed. Maybe if I can get enough sleep finally, I can get something accomplished tomorrow.

Hello again with a late check in. I have a LOL drying, dishwasher has run, cat care is done, progress has been made on doll dress, and some things in the box are put away and thrown away. I found a vest pattern for DD11 in the pattern collection I bought for myself. She wants it in green with the very lightest blue roses.

In my box, I found a list with two websites for doll clothes that I am going to look at now. After that, it is Bible reading and bed.
