Okay...Hate that your cake fell, but glad it still tastes good. Once I was making my New York Lindsey cheese cake and the oven element quit while I was baking it. The cake wasn't done, but I certainly didn't want to throw it out so I lit up my outdoor gas grill, set the temp as low as I could, and finished it out there. The outside part of the cake wasn't all that good, but the middle was perfect. Everyone came back for seconds so that was a good sign.

I don't make the cheese cake very often. Its not hard to make, but it takes a long time to put it together and then bake it. A few years ago I made one for T-day when my son came to visit. Its a huge cake and very heavy, but it didn't last long. Sweetie and my ds ate it in 3 days :o

I stayed up late last night...12:30 and late for me. Figured I'd sleep late as well, but my eyes were open by 6:30. Been up and about since 10 and am just now taking a quick break. Still have a few things I want to do before my ds arrives on Friday. Its been raining here and is predicted to rain until later tonight. All day rainy days are rare here and I enjoy them when it happens. The northern part of AZ is predicted to get 10-12 inches of snow. Willis is like a kid, he doesn't like rainy days because he can't go out and play.

oops..I hear buzzing in my laundry room....waving to y'all...be back in a while.

Hello everyone.

Sorry I've been MIA. Lots of Dr. appointments and lots of committee meetings. My neck/back/hips are getting better at range of motion and not hurting when I'm just sitting - but --- I'm bruised and hurt to be touched so cancelled chiro appt this morning.

Good thing I did as we had another "dig thru the storage room" type meeting for La Fiesta. They never throw anything away here so I was able to scrounge some things to use for decorations. I'm also cutting 140 Popsicle sticks to make the side walls for the little jails. Yuck!

We had snow/rain/hail/sunshine so far today. Can't see the mountains as they are covered with clouds.

Wonder what happened department: Yesterday, Scattered said she had text message from co-worker. What happened - have scanned posts but have no clue. Inquiring minds want to know.

I'm off to cut more sticks. TTFN

Hello, gang!

I was to go to the dentist tomorrow as I see several of you are, but my dentist has this bug that is going around. Sounds like what my Dh had. So that is rescheduled. Was saving my errands for tomorrow, so will still do them then.

Spent the day changing sheets, washing several loads of laundry, and hanging the new sheers I got for $2 per panel. :D Did all my daily reading and ventured out on the ice to our mailbox. Hope that groundhog was right this year. Spring can't come soon enough!

Don't know what to make for supper. Will let Dh tell me what he can eat. If he feels well enough, we will go to church tonight.
He did last all day at work, so that is a good sign. I was half expecting him to come home midday.

Tiptoeing in to say Hello to Everyone! We're home again. We drove for 11 hours yesterday and the last five today. Driving the first day was miserable what with the gray rainy day, but today was dry roads and blue sky.

I was here earlier, but before I had a chance to post, I got distracted with stuff I was putting away, then ds#2 stopped on his way home from work to check on us and pick up his suitcase from when he stayed to housesit. I sorted through the mail, put the meds/vitamins away and put makeup/toiletries away. Sat down with a cup of tea, then my tummy started feeling queasy, so I'm going to get a piece of toast with cream cheese and relax. I have lots to catch up on here as I haven't had computer on for a few days.

It's so good to be back; I missed being able to come here and I'm anxious to get back to some routine action. ((Hugs)) to everyone!

Sunny - Welcome home!

I was wondering about Scattered text message mystery too. But then I started thinking that was the same person she went out to eat with. But I might be totally confused.

After the funeral DH stayed with LO while I went with DSon to visit The Greats. #Treasured_Moments DSon is now headed home. He should arrive in time to tuck his little ones into bed. DH is has returned to doing MPB repairs that he started early this morning.

Dgd [youngest] got something from another girl that made her brake out with a rash that looks like hives might explain why she was out of sorts this morning. She went home early to rest today.

#2 dgd had an allergic reaction to some thing she ate & ended up in the ER yesterday and had to have 2 eppi pen shots, she will be going to have some allergy tests done. That was scary for their mom but luckily they only live one block from the hospital.

All the chicks and chickens are fine got five eggs, two of them green eggs from the Easter Eggers so one more is back in production now so that makes 8 hens laying and we got a pullet egg today and two regular sized eggs. Can't believe how fast the chicks learn chicken behaviors! Over cooked mini muffins hens loved 'em! LOL!

Did the hand wash today spiffed up the kitchen a bit as well.

OKay wrote: Kathryn - how did you know??? I thought of your prediction when LO got sick to his stomach during the middle of the night.
It doesn't give me pleasure to have guessed but he is always sick when he travels, and he's been out of sorts when you traveled and he stays home. I'm sure his rough start to life makes him less robust than a child who has had a normal start.

Hopefully, he'll become stronger before the age where missing school is going to make him lag behind. Because of his size, people will always expect more of him than reasonable and if he starts to fall behind his age level for learning, it might be really hard on him socially as well as academically.

Nothing to report today.

Slow start to the day. Never got to Presbytery to volunteer.

Emailed the bulletin to the church secretary and then had a nap. Had a phone call with my music friend, and dd. Watered the plants. That's it. Dh even did up the dishes for me.
