{{{Okay}}} our dd quit school at 16 turned out okay with GED but still struggles with some self esteem issues b/c of that and a lack of collage. The most difficult day was when ex dil graduated in the class dd should have been in I left in tears.
Dh went to bed w/out dinner exhausted.
I mended dgds pants today while she wore pj's not a bad thing with her being under the weather.
Dgkids are gone.
I feel at loose ends.
I've trimmed my bangs.
We've had rain today I like rain but today I'm moody.
Chicken news:
One hen has gone broody & decided to sit. I moved her to the loft so no eggs for us today. She does not like being messed with.
I put food near her she does not seem interested. I'd be cranky too. I'll try to figure out how to have water near by for her next. Then I cleaned out the chick's box and they are settled back in and napped after their dinner. The red heat lamp gave a weird color to the pics that I took earlier today I need to get better ones hoping the older dgds #1 & #2 can help me pose 'em tomorrow.
I add a couple of choice eggs to the broody hen's clutch of eggs figured we might as well try to raise the bigger breed we like for meat birds.

Re: Thursday PWYC
(MT) I'm so sorry about DH. I hope he gets to come home soon.
OKay, yay for LO learning not to cry at the parting. I would never have thought to practice it, you are so smart! Sorry about DGSon. He will likely learn about his mistakes in future years, the hard way, but just maybe things will work out alright.
(Sunny) sorry you had a "bug". I had that sick headache and upset stomach Sunday. Yesterday DH came down with a "cold" but today he got progressively worse and ended up in bed all day. He is feverish now. I checked him when I came back in from church (he said it was ok for me to go off) and he is sound asleep.
I have a sore eye. Seems like every time I wear any kind of eye makeup my eyes get very dry, the eyelids and all the skin around them. So I changed all my eye makeup but that didn't help. Tonight it feels like a sty starting on my left eyelid. Dang. Warm washcloth felt good.
Study tonight was good. We have 5 more to go. I've still got some doldrums but I've got a plan. Maybe some sunshine tomorrow, some cleaning too, a couple dpc about stuff I'm worried about. That should help.

Oof, I'm tired. Errands and driving and more snow.
I thought I had a plan for tomorrow, but now I need to wait to see what the roads will be like.
(((Mr. & Mrs. Emptynester)))
LO ~ Good job!
Okay ~ I am concerned about anyone who drops out of high school these days. In Sunday's newspaper, there was a want ad for a part time receptionist in a realtor's office -- PART time -- that requires a 4-year degree. The job is to answer phones and do basic office tasks using MS Word and Excel.
* There are any number of community colleges around the country that have 18- to 24-month programs for exactly this type of entry-level position, which would not qualify the graduate for this job.
* Don't try to convince me that this company is going to pay a part-time receptionist more than minimum wage. How will that employee pay student loans from 4 years of college?

(((MT & MR. MT))) Sending up prayers and good wishes for you!
WTG, LO!!!
(((BIG HUGS))), OKay, re: dgs17.
Another day... bank, post office, came home, got dh & dgs, dmom's bank, dmom's accountant, supper, took dgs home...
Then * woo hoo * for ANTI-PROCRASTINATION!
Made two LONG put-off phone calls. One to my dfriend & mentor, former teacher and coworker, who had just been on my mind FOREVER. She is around 80 years old and she & her daughter have both had cancer this year. Both are recovering well. She is a dear, dear, friend, but I've just put off calling her. We never see each other b/c she seldom gets out anymore... I have a million excuses, but I finally decided, I can keep feeling ashamed of not calling her, or I can call her and quit putting it off. I was sooo glad I did. We had a LONG, LONG conversation and I think she really appreciated my call. I know I loved talking to her!
Then called duncle, who can be awfully much a "grumpy old man" sometimes... but he made me feel better tonight, too. Said I didn't need to go visit dparents... they were fine... it is my last year in school and I need to be with my students. Of course, I told him if they NEEDED us, if their situation worsened, we would OF COURSE be on our way out there immediately.
I still feel sooo antsy re: need to visit... Just continue to pray that dmom WILL let me know when my physical presence is needed!
