I have not been happy with myself lately.

I have been thinking of my friend who took to her bed, and seems uninterested in changing the way she lives, and what I am prepared to do. Then comparing her disinterest in changing the status quo with mine. I may be more mobile and not depending on others like her, but am I just ignoring what I can change like I deem her to be?

I've thought about stepping back from looking for quotes (and birthday quotes are certainly taking me to names I would not normaly think to look at) but continue in the hope I push my own buttons into gear. Certainly I am glad to have found yesterday's quotes.

Wedding was a challenge. They had the "service" at a nearby island that is out in the Gulf, at the tip end, and the wind was wicked. Plus it was only about 60°, which doesn't sound that bad except beach wind can be pretty bad. The bride and the party wore very slim dresses, sleeveless, and hers was the one shoulder kind other shoulder bare. Most of us were bundled in blankets. I had my heavy shawl on, which would have been fine, except the wind kept whipping it away from me. The service was lovely, despite all that and I am extremely impressed with this couple who have done everything "the old fashioned way" without moving in together first, etc.

Because DH is still very sick and in bed, I did not go to the reception, but came home with the heater cranked up as high as it would go!

My neighbor, newly single (mother of the groom) held up wonderfully; father of the groom showed up without his new woman. sigh...

There is no counting on weather for a beach wedding Harmony. Prayers for DH.
