I stayed home and had my lunch here since dinner tonight is leftover chicken breast. Having chicken breast on a salad for lunch sounded like a poor plan! So I had an omelet instead and some applesauce because my system is acting up.

Dh took the extra time I'm home to grab the car and run to the Co-op store to buy tree tapping buckets. He didn't want to make do with the containers he had from previous years. I told him "no, we shouldn't be buying things." and he argued back that we'll leave them for next owners. I know they'll tap the tree too, so it makes sense to do that and dh can afford the buckets (in the time we spent arguing over it, he could have made more than enough to pay for them!)

I'm done, the kitchen is not a disaster, parts of the table top are visible so I guess I have to leave now. I really don't want to take the effort to drive into town today but I really must.

(Tapping is now done. I've posted pictures Here)

Making slow progress here. Got sidetracked with a phone call.

I closed out February and submitted payroll taxes. I got a couple checks written and into the mailbox in time. I got my minutes for tonight written and printed. I just ate lunch.

I MAY be getting DH's flu. I feel funny. He is out working. I hope he is not over-doing it.

Back to my desk.

Good suggestions on finding new investment guy. Thank you! Our investment guy suggested using his office partner, but went on to "warn" us that he was arrogant. If we don't find someone else we might use him, but I think it was his way of warning us NOT to use him. I need to make some phone calls before making decision.

Time for LO to get out of school. Next up - take LO to barber shop for hair cut. Try on ball outfit.

The wind has been blowing like crazy the past 12 hours. It is bad, even for our typical windy state. 40mph with 60mph gust. It's hard to hang onto the doors. The wind jerks them out of your hand even when holding with both hands.

Hi everyone! I am back among the living. My voice sounds funny and I still have to take cough syrup at night, but am back at payroll. Today I got my taxes done. As usual, I have homework. I have to find out the basis cost of some stock I sold. Unfortunately, XDH will have the info, so I have to get it from him. Tonight is Girls' Night Out. I have to take DD11 to a hardware store to pick out a light green color for something that the Girl Scouts are painting. I also need to pick up a prescription and pick up the house for the maids arrival. I am not sure if the maids are coming Wed or Fri. DD does not want to go to Chuck E Cheese or the library tonight, I have no idea what we will be doing. However, I do know that Chinese food will be involved. I need to do a LOL soon too.

Happy Birthday to Mr. Lilac! This has been a day and I haven't had time to cuop. Glad somebody posted that.

I had made hamburger stew in the crockpot and with everything going on today -so glad I did. Love this recipe -so easy & makes a lot of really thick stew. My dfriend who passed away earlier this week, really wanted to make it. Will post the recipe when I get time. DH has decided he can make it for himself up home this spring.

Dinner was the leftover chicken from Sunday. Dh had his with fried potatoes. I just realized he skipped a veggie! I had mine as a stir fry with 4+ servings of vegetable and loved it. I keep forgetting to make it up (dh doesn't like it because it has veggies in it!) but today remembered it, while I was at the grocery store, so was able to buy lots of veggies for it. Also picked up frozen broccoli for a future time (and fresh for tonight.) Dd has taken to buying frozen since it is so much easier and my last batch of fresh went bad too early.

Dh asked if I used ds's thick teriyaki stir fry sauce. I said no, that had gone home with ds, and I just made up my own teriyaki sauce with ginger, brown sugar and soy sauce. I don't need it thick so leave out the thickener and I used garlic infused olive oil in the stir fry so left out the garlic. No need to have an extra bottle in my fridge!

I have berries to be eaten up so had a double serving of those for dessert. We used so many dishes today that there's enough to run the dishwasher tonight so dh is going to wash up the few that can't go in and took care of loading the dw for him. He's back at work now but promised to do the dishes before bed.

I was out in the afternoon and got all my errands but Costco done.

I'm tired now so may head to be soon. I need shorts for the physiotherapist tomorrow and I suspect I don't own any. I have very ugly legs so don't wear them in the summer. I'm pretty sure I tossed out all the ones I did have last year or before because 1) they didn't fit and 2) when they did fit, I didn't wear them. It was a 'no brainer' to dejunk them. The alternative is loose track pants. Don't have any of those either, but dh might have a pair we bought for him to wear with his catheter after his surgery. He weighs a good 20 pounds less than me (and his weight is in his upper body and mine is lower body) but we would have bought them large so I should go look for them.

Elizabeth, I was just thinking of you as I washed dishes. Glad that you are doing better.

Good morning Lynlee! Thank you for the quotes and the time it takes for you to find and post them.

Thank you for dhs birthday wishes. I baked him a German Chocolate cake. It's his favorite, so that is what he always gets. I don't like coconut, so I always leave one end unfrosted for me.

I will stay home tomorrow and clean. The bug guy called dd2 today, so will be calling me soon. I want to be ready for him. I will buy groceries on Thursday because I ordered a new phone today and it will be delivered by F ed E x on Friday. They need a signature so I want to be able to stay home that day.

Hello again! DD11 has had Girls Night Out and returned to her father. I needn't have worried over what to do, she had it all planned: a Chinese food picnic in the park, followed by swinging and games. Then we picked up the paint chip and discovered there was a Baskin Robbins right near it! We made sure it was as good as the one across town. I forgot to pick up my prescription and will write a note to myself about that. I have the washer and the dishwasher going right now and tomorrow's lunch is packed. Now it is time to crochet on the doll dress. It is close to done. I will post it when I am finally done. Think I will take care of the cats and put away a LOL, then video and crochet.
