Quiet day here.

I got the lower main floor vacuumed and dusted and mopped the foyer floor. I also vacuumed the upper main floor.

Gathered up garbage and then changed for our evening out.

Picked up our senior friend and we had a nice roast beef church dinner and enjoyed an evening of Irish music provided by a local family. Dh enjoyed himself but said we are better. I don't think we are, but their sound was definitely off. The women in the family all have nicer voices than I do. The mom has been doing this all her life - she was part of a family band growing up, met her dh at college while studying music, he joined her family's band and then they performed as a couple and then as the kids arrived and each had talent, their family band expanded.

I'm tired enough for bed now but forgot to refreeze my ice packs so they need another 30 minutes in the freezer before I can use them. I will start my exercises now, though.

Hello to everyone!

At the moment I'm sitting up in bed to cuop and post. I came back here to get under the covers to get warm, and it's all I can do to stay awake! This past week or longer I have had nights when I didn't get to sleep until after 3 am; not restless or anything, just didn't feel sleepy or couldn't turn my brain off! Then dh letting me sleep in till 10 am didn't help either, but he said "Well, you must have needed the sleep!"

Wanted to wish Mr. OKay, Lilac and Mr. Lilac Happy Birthdays (belated). I'm usually up to date on this and I'm sorry I missed those special days!

Congratulations to Ivy on losing 100 lbs. That's a wonderful accomplishment!

More great famous quotes for opening today---Thank you Lynlee!

Happy Birthday to Harriet's ds28. Have a great weekend with all your dkids and dgrkids!

MT, I said uh-oh when I read your dh was going to ER again. Then it was so good to read that he's all right!

Elly, I hope dd will find another job quickly.

More ((hugs)) for all with aches & pains and colds and etc. in our Village!

I think I last posted on Friday as my dcousin came to pick me up. We had a nice visit out as we strolled through IKEA. It's been about 5 or 6 months since I've been there and they have changed out a lot of things with new items and pretty new spring colors.

We had no company on Sat., but ds#2 and family came on Sunday. Ddil brought dinner; she made stuffed shells (w/chicken & cheese), green beans and corn. I made rolls and had pound cake with fresh strawberries for dessert. Nice visit with them, but we haven't seen dgd17 for over a month since she's been working on Sundays.

Today I paid bills and then cleaned up my desk. I've got a pile of papers/receipts to go through yet. Probably most will be thrown away. Tomorrow we need to make a run for groceries, dog food and a few misc. items and pay a utility bill.

Hope BookSaver is having a nice time at her sewing retreat!

I wondered about Mr MT's back too.

add to my list for Thursday - sprayed 2 sorts of wasps in and near car port. I remembered in the bathtub and decided just to go do it while it was still dark.

Lucylee - prayers for the family of the woman. Melanoma is difficult once it had gotten away.

Sunny - I'm glad you enjoy them. Some days there are just too many to chose between.

Harmony - Its likely the same as its from tropical america. How we got the singapore bit in its local name I have no idea. "Native to tropical America, Singapore daisy (Sphagneticola trilobata) is a vigorous ground cover that will out-compete natural habitat." http://www.daff.qld.gov.au/4790_7355.htm
You have my sympathy - trying to control it at rental property. Will tenants help?
