Today I got the dusting done and dumped the trash. I even cleaned behind a couple of pieces of furniture that I do not usually get behind except maybe once a season if I'm lucky. I Cleaned the counters off also so it's looking better around here I did that while I talked with dd on the phone. [I vacuumed upstairs later.]

Dd said one of her friends that always has a clean house said she asked how she kept it so nice and her friend said she spends an hour on it in the morning and an hour on it in the evening. [After kids middle school age are in bed.] So there you have it the reason mine does not look good all the time is bc I do not spent 2 hrs. a day cleaning. Like that's going to happen here!

Today I've been outside and did some yard work picked up and got some spading and raking done so it's looking as good as it can for now.

Chicks have been getting some outside time each day now and the light is going off during the day time as long as it's warm enough. Like today' 55* is plenty warm enough for that.

The neighbors had a car left behind after they moved and rented out their house that's been here a year or more today it got hauled off! Yea!!!

Hi everyone! I realized today that you have to be a member of Ravelry to see people's projects. I will try to put the pictures somewhere on this board. It is now 6:00 and I have been stuck at payroll waiting for a scan to complete. It has just finished, but I will finish this post before leaving.

What did not get done from yesterday: get paint off floor, pay bills, balance checkbook.

What needs to get done tonight: grocery, LOL, pay bills, order a part, file stuff, balance checkbook, glue 'pearls' on crocheted tiara.

It is a processing day for me, trying to process my body, the music, ds, errands. I'm exhausted and ate extraordinarily poorly today. I'm also processing how relationships on here can be frustrating - it would be so nice to be able to help out OKay in real life, rather than offering cyber support.

I had physio this morning (and ran 2 errands for church after.) Then, after lunch, I set up a currency transfer (which involves a swap of cheques) then headed off for choir. Ds was still home for the cheque swap and when I got back from choir I went into the market village to put the US$ cheque into the bank account, pay a bill and then do some groceries. My final outing was for the community choir practice tonight. In between, dh and ds picked up pizza.

We had a nice dinner around the table but poor ds was overwhelmed with info. Now that we seldom eat together, we don't share family news like we used to. He found out he had a ski bum cousin in Whistler and another cousin has separated from her dh (who just was released from prison just over a year ago so although they were married for 4 years they only lived together for a year of that.)

Both choir practices went well but I'm ready for a break from singing and only get 40 hours off until the next practice. I'll be so glad when Easter is over!

Speaking of connections, I found an old friend on FB. So nice to see her kids and grandkids.

Dh is better today, except that he coughed so hard he pulled a muscle in his back! We are watching "The Voice" tonight and really enjoying it.

Did a couple piddling little tasks today...removed the sticky residue from new light fixture with olive oil (was out of A von Skin So Soft) and painted the wooden knobs on a piece of furniture. Not much else to report. Will have to "kick it up a notch" tomorrow. :)

ELIZABETH, I did try to see your crochet on Ravelry. Do post it here!

I've made excellent progress again the kitchen is looking fine after dinner. Dryer is going w/ h.'s work clothes. He got it going while I was out with the grand kids. They were playing on the jungle gym next door and I was raking leaves up getting that yard in shape working on my arms as well.

Dgd & I made pudding. I mixed up cookies and baked them up for after school snacks and for h's lunches. Dd was asking about a dinner thing for h.'s bday but might have to combine it with Easter. We've tried two time to get together with them before this but they were booked. So h. said just skip it. ~sigh~ That's a bit frustrating but life happens.

Sad news in the village today... but so much inspiration and love, too.

Just a busy day around here...
Had to go to the cleaners and also got dmil's mail...
Visited dmil w/dh... then we went to business office @ nursing home to make sure they were saving daunt's bed...
then to hospital to visit daunt, who is doing much better, we believe...
Then to nearby town to straighten out cell phone billing b/c --

* drum roll, please *

I am the happy owner of a new iPhone!!!
Can y'all believe it? After I have hemmed & hawed about this FOREVER???
Yesterday, it became a matter of necessity. I dropped my phone one time too many... broke it in half (one time too many). This time, when I snapped it back together -- nothing.

DH was a bit frustrated... and requested that we continue to block text messaging... but all in all, I think we are well pleased.

Talked to dmom on phone -- ddad should be out of hospital tomorrow.
Talked to ddad on phone -- no, I still do not know arrangements for his great-aunt's funeral. (Of course, he can't go, but I'll be going. This is the mother of the cousin who passed away a few weeks ago.)
Saw movie, Admission w/Tina Fey & Lilly Tomlin. Pretty good. No Academy awards, I would say, but I enjoyed it.

Gotta go. DH needs computer.
