Dh took off work early so that he could run by the clinic and pick up RXs for a glucometer, test strips, lancets and B6 pills. Since he was getting off early, I decided we should get around and get out taxes filed. We are doing T urbo T ax again. We should get a refund for the first time in years.

I commented to dh that I was going to call the insurance co. in the morning to see what glucometer they recommend and how much do they pay for the test strips. I said if we are both diabetic we will need to carefully pick what brand we go with because of the expense. He told me in no uncertain terms "I am not going to be a diabetic". That is what I wanted to hear.

Elizabeth, grrrrrrr. I will say it for you, how thoughtful of your XDH to drop that on you, on Easter of all days. Grrrrrr!

Gotta go. He's ready to start on the taxes.

Feel better, Twins.!!
What am I behind on? Paperwork!

(How many of you are surprised at that answer?!)
Really? Imagine that! Like any of US would be behind in that paper stack! ( Count me in too!)

I've been puttering away in our room, waiting for time to put dinner on. DD is working late tonight (after school care and tutoring). Will try to time dinner for her arrival. Sure gd is going to bombard her when she gets here. She had asked her dad about a friend coming over -and he of course told her no. Logical answer (believe me). So she proceeded into the office and said, "Grandma can I call Mom, Dad's being retarted (her word not mine -I would not use it). DD did text me to say gd had been texting her, but she wasn't answering. Our rule when our dks were growing up was: if one of us said, "No", then they weren't to try to talk the other parent into it behind our backs. Of course dsonil heard her asking me (she made sure of that) ;) , but he kept quiet (and I also told her no to using my phone). Oh no, I was not being put in the middle of that.

Think I'll start the stew warming up and make corn bread in about 20 minutes or so.

I have not even napped today -big plus for me. And I feel good. But then I took ben adryl about 7:30 last night and slept fairly well (only got up twice and went back to sleep). Was up by 6:30 this morning.

15th is expected to be gd's last day of school at her present school. Really think the school she will be attending will be a whole lot better for her. Many more students and all who go there have an IEP (individual educational plan -at least I'm pretty sure that's the meaning of the letters -am I right, LucyLee?) Also think the comraderie of other girls her age will be good for her. Think there's 8 girls to a cottage. They'll each have their own bike, horses for therapy (and she loves horses), chores, school, job opportunities, they have to attend church and Youth for Christ plays a big role as well. She will have rules but also freedom around the complex. Can't imagine it being anything other than a win/win for her. There will be no contact for 30 days. She will come home for vacations and 1 week each at the beginning & end of the summer. It's only 14 miles away so that will be good.
Begun is half done -SO! JUST BEGIN!!

Hoping for a better day today.
Walked dog, breakfast is eaten, washing ready to go out on the line.
A friend rang and we will go out in 45 min.
There's no time for a 2nd load of washing now.

Dee - if you get a chance watch the program on horse therapy. It showed people being shown how to calm themselves so the horse wanted to be around them. Some were traumatised from bush fires. One little guy had adhd.
I remember a series re US desert boot camp for wayward UK teens - that people had to be able to inspect their horse's feet before they could progress. So I can see now how its so much more than just the being responsible level horse therapy is working on. Prayers for you all thru these last couple of weeks - before dgd starts a new life. And DD and Dsil do too. Will there be sessions for the parents at some stage before dgd comes home to visit?
Just begin.
Living this day, today
Take a reality check; Remember to breathe; Do what I am able to do.
Look for the good in all.

Ddogs and I had a walk - very nice outside right now. Wind has dropped from this afternoon.

Wondering if I have gall bladder issues. This doesn't feel viral and I'm not that sick, just constantly feeling queasy, bloated, or gassy.

Back to work tomorrow...not throwing up but my gut sure is feeling lousy.

The house is starting to feel more together as the 3 D's are in better shape. Progress not perfection.

while LO napped this afternoon, I rototilled 8 beds in the garden. My body definitely got a good workout. :) The weather was beautiful so it was very relaxing to be outside.

I've got supper cooked and waiting for DH to arrive home. We are late eating tonight, so will need to scramble to get done and LO bed/bath routine completely ASAP

Good night, Blessed!

I had just over an hour in bed, which felt good. I dozed but no deep sleep. Ds is still asleep but his alarm will go off in 6 minutes. It will only add up to about 8 hours of sleep for him, not really enough but the best he can do given the busy weekend (he helped the Third Amigo move on Saturday and Sunday.)

I need to clean up the kitchen and start a load of laundry.

Oh my goodness, Elizabeth! Ooohhh... I don't know WHAT I would have said to the X re: that little bit of news. Assigned two weeks but she didn't want to work on it?????? Oh my... oooohhh... I am just MAD all over again for you here.

After school today, and the regular Monday faculty meeting, dh & I went to the ironing lady, my parents' house for mail, his mom's house just because, and then we came home and he ate Lean Cuisine & I had chicken noodle soup.
I've talked to dmom & ds on phone.

I am still really, REALLY nervous that dparents are going to end up getting their first weekend in three months on the same weekend as that spring football game and oh my goodness... I am just afraid sparks are going to fly... but I just do not think I can be gone on their first Saturday back. Really really really nervous about this right now. Trying not to stew over it. Haven't mentioned it to dh. But ds will be no help at all -- he's already booked up for that weekend.
* sigh *
-- Harriet -- you didn't pick a bad topic!!! I've just had a knack for making everything sound/look bad lately.

Ddad is still on the IV antibiotics, and will be until the 16th. * sigh * That's why I'm sooo worried about the weekend of the 20th. His white counts are up too much, and that makes the doctors a bit concerned, along with a few other symptoms that have been sorta sporadic.
OTOH, he sees his doctor Wed. & dmom thinks they may be able to predict the plan of action (good/bad/whatever) for the coming months by then. However, some test results may not be complete until next week.
So, as my normal refrain goes... we're just in a holding pattern here.

(((Twins))) I am so sorry you're feeling so miserable. I'm sure the stress of tax season is not helping.

Waving to OKay... Lynlee... Lilac... blessed... Nancy... Kathryn... and EVERYONE ELSE, too!!!

(((Dee))) & family... and yes, you are right re: IEP. Cowinkie has much more expertise w/all that than I do. This program sounds sooo good for dgd. I just join you in prayer that it will be the solution to the many problems you have all been dealing with.

So far, no nap... I will TRY my best to work on the exercise & bedtime routine. If I can get a grip on those two habits, I suspect other problems will begin to look smaller. ;)
Tomorrow is another day.

Thank you blessed, I certainly do ask for prayers for him. I've been at hospital with this evening. What should have been simple outpatient has turned complicated and scary. This is the uncle who is next door, whose wife is blind. Others staying with dear aunt 24-7 until he can return. She does not know. I am saddled with difficult decisions re: who is informed and when. I may upset someone no matter what I do.
