Re: Time tackling & Tender Thursday
Hi everyone! I am done at payroll and about to leave. I don't have art class tonight and my church meeting is cancelled so I think I will go to the library for a change. It is open until 8. I did not get dFosterCat10 back last night. The person caring for her wants to keep her until Saturday. My house looks and smells great thanks to maid visit yesterday. They forgot to pick up the check, so I will mail it. After the library visit, I will work on the database some. I will also do some organizing for an animal org special event and maybe call some volunteers. Twelve more days until I can crochet again.

Re: Time tackling & Tender Thursday
I've made a lot of progress today but managed to avoid the 'big' stuff.
I did get two loads of laundry done, the kitchen cleaned up and the dishwasher running after dinner, paid all the bills, processed all the mail, reconciled four credit cards, did some shredding (we have a box to be done by the shredder and I do about 10 - 20 pages each time I walk by), printed off some stuff to add to the church minute books, updated quicken, and handled email as it came in. I swept the kitchen floor but did not mop it.
I have minutes to write up from Sunday, notes to write up from this United Church project (this is what I'm going to call the big project I'm on, since it is for the National church as opposed to my local congregations) and the TAXES.
Tomorrow, I hope to have as much or more productivity.
I'm off to bed now, nice and early but have 30 minutes of physio before I'll turn in. I've been starting up the stairs on my 'bad' leg instead of my stronger leg and my knee hasn't hurt all day. I've done over 12 flights of stairs today. Walked over 3 miles as well, only a mile of which was on the treadmill. I also did 3.4 miles on the bike but that doesn't show on the fitbit stats except under calories burned.

Home from work now and tired. Getting close to having my returns out, but there's another that hasn't come in yet to be extended. Could take awhile to get extension done if he brings in a big pile of stuff tomorrow, we're hoping that the later it gets, he will just say he doesn't think he owes any taxes and we'll put that on the extension.
Still haven't extended my own return.

Re: Time tackling & Tender Thursday
Still plodding along here... I realized I've not posted anything in a couple days, I guess, and I don't want y'all to think anyone's health has turned for the worst when that happens. Actually -- especially now that I have the smart phone -- I would probably let y'all know ASAP if something really bad did happen! No... right now, we are just in our same routine... school/nap/call dparents/bed. That seems to be all I have energy for. Except on the days that dgs is here -- then I somehow have energy for HIM, at the time, but AFTER THE TIME, * LOL * -- oh my -- I just collapse! How DO young mothers survive??? (I guess the key word is YOUNG.)
I did tackle another set of papers today at school, and made slight progress on the Mt. Everest of ungraded papers I am facing.
We dismissed early b/c of threat of severe weather, so I came home and was VERY tender with myself. Napped all afternoon, off & on.
Tomorrow will be a day of total chaos, I fear. Our school is hosting a district-wide event and we will have every 7-12 grader in the county running around our campus. Part of the event is outdoors, but I am certainly hoping I do not have to be involved in the outdoor activities. After all the rain today's storms brought, that is going to just be a MESS. I am getting waaay too old to enjoy these little "fun" days. I'd just rather teach my classes and do my thing.
Dh & I just got back from an evening out which was certainly the best of times and the worst of times.
Worst -- after we were seated @ our first choice of restaurant, and the waitress took our drink order, we told her we were ready to order, but she put us off, saying she had to get this super-large order in, and she would be right back.
She brought our diet cokes, but THIRTY MINUTES LATER -- we were STILL waiting to order... and she had walked by our table 20 times, (by dh's count
) and never even acknowledged us!!! She did however spend a LOT of time w/the 4 young men at the next table, one of which kept asking her when they would be doing lunch... and I noticed she flipped him the finger over her shoulder as she walked away.
After 30 minutes we left... and when the hostess told us, "Have a good night," dh told her no one ever took our order, but she did NOT chase us down to offer us a free meal or anything like that, either. * sigh *
We really like this restaurant but I do not think we will be returning for some time.
Best -- we left, drove right across the street to another restaurant we like also, and in 7 minutes we were seated & had ordered, and in 30 minutes, we had finished our meal.
Wow. What a difference in service.
DH was so aggravated b/c of the first place that he didn't really enjoy his meal, but I was quite pleased once I finally got to eat.
I just wonder what on earth my dmom is doing about her taxes...
Need to exercise.
That is so sad about the horse, Dee...
(((Harriet's dfamily))) w/the new illness to be concerned about w/HRH's duncle. Glad you are not the "responsible party" in this case.
Sooo glad to hear baby Megan is doing so well, Ivy!!! And congratulations on the short story, too!
Waving to EVERYONE!!!

Re: Time tackling & Tender Thursday
Good night everyone! I spent too much time this evening reading a book. I got 7 at the library, now one is ready to return. I stayed up way late coding on the database project. Progress has been made. I think I will open up Friday's thread, simply because I have never done it before.
