AH!! Day is done. Everything went OK at church. Pastor was out with a kidney stone but one of the ladies of the church gave a wonderful sermon. We had lots of good eats for Fellowship including warm bread pudding. (We didn't feel right about throwing away the bread from communion so one of the gals adds to it and makes bread pudding.

Blood drive went well - including 2 walk-ins at the last minute so I worked the canteen from 1 - 4. Came home for a sandwich and then to ice creams at the club house.

So now I can take off my "church clothes" and get in my jammies for the rest of the night.

After 10 years of living in a RV, I have a very limited grown-up wardrobe. One pair of black slacks, no skirts, several tops that I trade around and 3 western shirts. Shoes are limited to 1 pr. of cowboy boots, 1 pair of black sandals and 1 pair of dress flats that hurt my feet. I really have to expand on it when we come back next fall. (Don't fee too bad for me as I have lots of levies, shorts, t-shirts and tank tops. It is just church clothes I don't have.)

Time to go get comfy and then make a list of what I want to get accomplished tomorrow. No Dr. appointments until Friday.

Smiling at the sermon with the squirming silence. That's one way to tell it's a good one, right? I remember a criticism of a pastor when I was a church secretary that his sermons "never step on my toes". lol.

I'm taking a friend to the doctor tomorrow. Her vision is limited right now after eye surgery. HRH is planning to get home about 1:30 so that I can go.

We're definitely talking about going to the Highland Games this weekend. Hope we can. Thunderstorms forecast for Friday could extend later and spoil it, but we hope not.

I think Har dee's here has a lettuce wrapped hamburger - you ask for "low carb" I believe. I think it is their 1/3 lb thickburger, but I also understand you can request their turkeyburger made the same way.

A good deal of purging took place in the office. Dh continues to surprise me at how tough he can be. I pulled a few things back and told him he could wait on a few more things.

All we worked on was the hutch and return on the office desk. It was a U-shaped desk with a hutch & return along one side, a desk and a conference table. We converted it to an L-shaped desk. The conference table is now dh's standing desk on motorized legs that rise or lower depending on if dh wants to stand or sit. We ditched the center part of the U, swung the return around to right-angles with the standing desk, and moved the hutch to the standing desk to hold the larger monitor (dh had an 18" and we replaced it with a 22" from the kitchen computer (on which we put a tv/monitor last week.) Dh has a lot of clutter on his desk and the hutch will hold it better.

There's room for filing cabinet where the return used to be which means the office could technically be in an 8 x 9 room. Depending on the window(s), that would either feel like enough space or claustrophobic. For now, the office remains in the 13 x 12 room. But we know we can downsize it. Yay!

I'll work on drawers (both filing cabinet and office supply) in a few weeks.

I'm exhausted. We didn't have dinner until 8 but made two meals (roast chicken and shepherd's pie), each including leftovers, so our meals are covered until Friday night. I also made a hamburg chowder which is now in single serving containers and I'll have that on Thursday night when dh has Chinese.

Dh is finishing the washing up now.

Good night all!

CI: Just another lazy Sunday for me... started to say "us" but dh would take terrible offense at that, LOL!!!
We did go to church, and then napped and read the papers, and he watched baseball & golf... but then he also unloaded the dishwasher, cut coupons, and put the trash out. I graded 2 sets of papers.
We visited dmil, went to Wmart & got our groceries and hers, delivered hers back to her, along w/her supper from McD's... then unloaded our groceries, went to my dparents' house to check newspaper (that should be NOT being delivered, but is anyway  -- we've called them repeatedly), then ate our supper, talked to ddad on phone, talked to daunt on phone, talked to ds on phone, and put a load of clothes in the washer.
* whew * Maybe I haven't been so lazy after all.

Harriet -- I LOVE the new phone! I LOVE it!!! However, it IS really eating up a lot of my time. I have become addicted to Solitare. But I am sooo sooo glad we will have it while we are traveling now. It IS very difficult to post here, b/c of the tiny screen and the problem of typing with one finger... but I imagine I will get better at that. Still, it can be done, so I know if we have another week w/out electricity, etc, like we did last spring, I'll be able to let you girls know I'm still alive!

I have not had time to cuop properly, so I will just wave to all for now. I want to check in on J&C board also.
