I got 2 strings of beads and it turned out one is for readers! Go figure  Maybe I can get a hook closure on it.

Home from doctor visit and pharmacy. At first the doctor thought LO had asthma and walking pneumonia however after taking x-ray changed the diagnosis to asthma and bronchitis. We came home with 4 prescriptions (3 inhalers and 1 liquid). Poor little fella is exhausted from coughing so much. He is having a late nap. I'm going to do some reading on recommended asthma and bronchitis prevention.

Hello Everyone!

I'm sorry not to have posted the last few days. Spent some time this afternoon cuops, but I suspect I've still missed something. The past week and last weekend we've spent shifting some furniture around, some to different rooms, and discarding some furniture to donations. Since I exchanged a smaller desk for a computer desk that's gone I have had to rearrange my stash of office supplies.

Helia, WTG to dd14 for getting into the senior band! Also...enjoy your new puppy. Do you know what her new name will be? Looking forward to seeing pictures.

Cowinkie, congratulations on your ds accomplishment! Your Kentucky Derby Day sounds fun!

Harriet, high fives for dgs scores at the H. Games!

OKay, sorry to hear that LO is diagnosed with asthma. It could be seasonal if he is sensative to spring growing season though; and it's possible that he will outgrow it. I think our schools here have zero tolerance for physical abuse among students. Students are taught in class not to touch others. But I also think some of it is either missed or overlooked if no one fusses or gets hurt!

Well last week when our a/c started running warm I called the company who installed the unit. We had one more call left on the maintenance contract. That tech said the coil needed replaced and the ducts needed cleaned and gave us a price. They were to do the duct cleaning on Sat. but never showed up or called. When ds#2 saw how much it would be he "objected strenuously" and ddil called a friend who had been a former classmate in high school. He is now the president of a large a/c company in our area. Dh called on Mon. morning to cancel the work and the new tech said the coil does need repaired, but is under warranty, so his estimate is less than half of the original estimate. Oh, and the ducts don't need cleaned. It will be fixed tomorrow!

All right -- I'm off to do some reading!

Harmony & Booksaver, you're both right about gd. Think it will be good for dd not to have contact for a few more days. This youth ranch (there is only 1 for girls in FL -and they're for "at risk" girls, whom they feel they can "save". So there's hope. This will also be a longer program -at least 18 months. She was in the behavior hospital for 8 months. There is more freedom in her present home & it's a beautiful place. There are 40 girls -10 to a house.

Feeling good -managed to get on dh's FB account on the computer and finally was able to put in a photo of him. He'll be happy. Slowly learning my way around here (windows 8). Still not sure why I'm able to be on this site and still afraid to logout or turn off the computer.

Got some work done in both gd's room and in our room tonight. Starting to sort through drawer by drawer & shelf by shelf to see what needs to be packed for home.

Have to remember that vitamin D stuff for newest grandson, Harriet.

Dee... even though your gd has been in other places and schools this one is still new to her and she may be homesick. It will take a little time for her to get used to it. I hope it works out for her soon. ((Hugs)) for all your family!

Home!
Actually -- we got in about 11:30 last night. Everything unpacked & put away, mail sorted, two bills paid, allergy shots taken, etc... by around 1:30.
Yes. 6:00 a.m. alarm.
I'm falling asleep in my tracks right now...

Good visit -- full coverage in J&C. ;) I'll not repeat myself here. But everything is still about as we expected -- could be better, but could be sooo sooo much worse.

Clothes in washer right now. I need to take care of that and then get in bed.

I'm glad Dee is still giving us updated on her gd.

I've finished my goal for today which included additional work that I haven't had in the past because I haven't had a Paypal account that needed reconciling in the past. That is all done.

Tomorrow, when I'm home, will be expenses. But I'm out for a lot of tomorrow.

I'm off to bed now. I'll tidy up in the morning and organize the table then.

Lucylee
: thanks for the updates. We're glad to have you home.

Hi everyone! Another late check in. I left payroll (where there is nothing to do) to pick up DD11 at school for Girls' Night Out. We stayed at school for a little while to check out the book fair. She got from me a two book set: a memoir of a Union soldier and a memoir of a Revolutionary soldier. She got herself a dragon poster. Then we did the usual Chinese, then picked out yarn for her vest. I can start crocheting again tomorrow (YEAH!!! FINALLY!!!). We ended the 'out' part of the night by going to Baskin Robbins for the sale 23-25 April. Then, it was home for videos and cardboard construction and activity book. I also got a LOL washed and onto the drying rack.

After DD left, I cooked lima beans and rice to go with tomorrow's cube steak for lunch. I cleaned a shelf of the fridge and realized I have a LOT of beer. This beer is leftover from the Halloween party. I don't like beer! I am going to look for some recipes to cook with it. I wish I could invite the village over for a 'finish Elizabeth's beer' party. I have done all chores for the night and the rest of the night will be devoted to sewing on a doll dress (not crochet, actual sewing) and another video. If I have any sense at all, I will go to bed early, not sure if I will have sense.

XDH brought more stuff when he picked up DD tonight. He is getting his (was ours) house painted and carpeted and keeps finding things. However, the things he has started bringing are actually some of DD's things.

I must do bills tomorrow and balance the checkbook if the statement has come.

I may soon have an addenda to the 'pet show': Kitten season is upon us and I have volunteered to foster kittens (and a mother, if they come with one).

Waving to lucylee and Nancy.
