Last night, DH was fast asleep, he doesn't wear hearing aids, asleep, of course. An animal ran through out master bathroom, running through our bedroom, skidding, and made a little sound, and left. I was wide awake, thinking, what if the squirrel in our attic has found a way into our home? :?:   I laid there so hot, for about 30 min., decided to get up and sleep barefooted with a thin fleece throw on me, in my sleeveless knit nightgown. I slept very well for about 3 hour or more, rejoining DH about 5 a.m. and I was out light a light again.

This evening, DH was in the great room watching TV. He turns down his hearing aid batteries, so as to not use up the batteries a lot, except he turns them up in crowds of adults, background noise and little kids. My cat was in the hall outside my office, where I had the door open, at my laptop when I hear glass clanking! I asked DH if he heard it, which was no, he didn't hear anything.  The cat and I DID. I went into the bedroom and the glass angle on the low coffee table in front of the center bay window had been moved and her wing was out of place, having rubbed against the metal candle light shade of a glass candle. It was moved about 1 1/2 inches and I'm wondering once again: WHAT ANIMAL IS DOING THIS????? :x I don't know if it's a large mouse or the squirrel, but the sounds aren't like a squirrel's sounds, but more like a BIG mouse. I'll keep you posted. DH has been waiting for better weather, to fix a door that flips open on the house corners, then he'll hammer down wire, over the corner holes below the eaves, which lead into the attic. This house is 8.5 years old, so the builder should have known about these things, as he, too, lives out here in the country. It sounds, when it's running, about the size of a sqirrel, but he's not making squirrel noises inside the house because he's probably petrified. IF IT'S A SQUIRREL! :!: :o   I hope I'll sleep better tonight. I hate things that go bump in the night.  :!:
