At a McDonald's between Knoxville and Nashville. Thought of Twins' ds as we drove past all the UT signs.
Late start to the drive and then a quick stop at the Tractor Supply. I couldn't believe it when Harriet told me that was where she bought some candy she'd introduced me to. But she wasn't teasing me and since it was on our route, we stopped for gas right at the intersection with the road the store was on and I knew God wanted me to have more of the candy. The lady at the store knew exactly what I was talking about and laughed when I showed up at the cash with my arms full. Dd14 can look for my name up on the wall with the 4H donations next time you are there, Harriet. That will keep her busy. Great clothes there, BTW, dh brought me a couple of outfits to consider. We bought a tractor instead (just a little one for the Christmas tree.)
We did a short section of the Blue Ridge parkway and then switched drivers (5 minute stop) before the rain started and I drove the mountains (which were ok but not as great as they would have been in fine weather) and through Knoxville (which was way more tense than I expected it would be.) We are switching drivers again, after a short walk through a neighbourhood just off the road here. I really needed to walk after almost 5.5 solid hours in the car.
