It was something on the actual burner on the coil.

I got it off after it cooled. Everything is now happily smoke free.

You guys are gonna think I'm nuts... I'm soaking the black spiky rubber mat that we store our outside shoes and boots on. It's in the bathtub with hot water and vinegar. (We usually go shoe-free inside. Mike used to wear slippers until he broke his ankle in 2007. Now he wears socks around the house.)

I have another large pile to shred. All of my gas/car wash and other work related receipts for 2013 are unfolded and laid flat in the work receipt basket. I hope I can keep going like this tomorrow.
Dishes never stop.
Laundry never stops.
Litter boxes never stop.
Paper never stops.

((((((((((DEE))))))))))))))))))))) Oh my. So much to assorb in such a short time. Bless your heart. I can't wrap my head around all you are juggling now. So much. PLEASE take care of yourself. This is going to be a challenging few weeks ahead. Pace yourself. We are here for you. Let us walk along side of you. Praying.

Tornado damage is horrible. Fatalities are starting to be reported. These multiple tornadoes are now headed right toward our Dear Sadie. ((((Sadie)))) Saying prayer she stays safe.

DSon called to chat while driving. He was on his way to the area that was hit by tornadoes. He has business meeting there the next couple of days. He was not aware of the tornadoes in progress. The hotel he stays in and the building where his meetings are in wasn't hit but there are thousands of homes/buildings without power (tornadoes tore up the power lines).

I can't watch the live broadcast from the tornado scene. It is tooooooooooooooooooooooooooo gut wrenching and I just start to cry. Gotta keep my head in my space. Gotta take care of those who depend on me.

LO has been bathed and ready for bed. DH is doing MPB evening chores. Sweet dreams.

Sorry to read about the storms. I'm glad Sadie checked in.

Just a short post here as it is late. I made it through the past few days by the skin of my teeth, feels like. I cleaned like crazy all the times I spent at home; but there was the church funeral I hadn't planned on helping with. When I went with my food there was just 1/2 hour before the service and very little was done, so I stayed in the kitchen, getting only to see the middle part of the service. It was a very somber affair, and really took a lot out of me to be part of that. After the clean-up I went back to my cleaning at the house and got enough done.

Graduation party was nice and it's always nice to be with DD & family.

Big breakfast here today and then we ladies took the kids to the beach. Too much heat and sun for me. The water was too cool to get into so I couldn't cool down. Was glad to get home. Put together a dinner of sorts before they got on the road again.

Omitting all the other stuff that went on...but will be trying to move ahead and catch up with the rest of the stuff around here. Way too much heavy stuff in life right now.
