My break time is over. I decided few days ago that I would go to a mall this afternoon. Stores have been traditionally closed on this holiday and this mall recently got approval from some level of government (don't know which one) to be open. There are a few other large malls that have this designation in Ontario. It was a beautiful day for a drive.
I bought a CD, some groceries and stopped for lunch on the way home.
F ive G uys has amazing bacon cheeseburgers. I have tried the fries at 3 other locations, and I'm not really impressed with what prompted me to go there in the first place. I think that's it for the fries there. The grilled onions that they have for a garnish are perfect, though. Just a bit of a crunch so you know they are there. Yummmmmm
Okay, time to get back to it.
Thanks for being here this long weekend everyone. I couldn't have done it without you.

Hello again.
Just checking in.
Still working away on laundry.
For some reason my back decided to hurt. Might be this crazy weather we're having. But decided I'm going to sit in the recliner for awhile. maybe make a phone call.
DH is out running errands.

Glad Sadie checked in.
Cathy: I'm with you about F ive G uys fries. I find one serving serves 3 people because they just aren't all that addictive. The burgers on the other hand...
Ds is off to work now. He talked non-stop about the wedding weekend.
Dd called to update us on their life. She needs to plan everything and nothing is falling into place. Instead, hiccup after hiccup occur. She sent us the latest flow chart of "if this, then that" (seriously, who writes up flow charts to describe possible life outcomes?) I'm encouraging her to be a piece of grass, gracefully bending as the wind blows but still rooted. She'd prefer the world bent to her instead. Like that is going to happen.
Dh leaves in 3.5 hours. I need to see what I can do to help him get off. I think he's packed now and is just working on other things.

Cathy, we went to Five guys burgers last night - split a large french fry among 4 of us and still threw away half of them. What big servings and what a waste!
Finished that round, also started another lol, brushed teeth (had skipped this morning when I ran out of the house with ds) and got addressed changed for dsis' prop tax bill to come to me next year. I need to check on having it reassessed also, I suspect.
-work on Rabbi's compensation spreadsheet
-two temple emails
-straighten up back patio (dead plants....)
-make the bed (finally)
-15 minute clean up in laundry room

I always get the "Little" size. I would rather just have the room for that massive burger.
Seems I had a little overflow problem in the bathroom sink yesterday. The extra water went directly into the window washing bucket that gets stored there. My squigee (sp?) needed to get tossed anyway, so that's not a huge loss. The sponge got tossed too. Good news is that I cleaned up under there and the surrounding floor at the same time.
It's a good thing that I left those 3 dirty towels in the bathroom. Something to sit on.

(helia) and (OKay) I am sorry to read about your neighbors. Life happens in an instant and we are seldom ready for this stuff.
I am watching the latest tornado in Oklahoma.
Did a lot of paperwork, but there's still a stack. I always feel like I've done half of it once it is at least organized.
Ran the dishwasher. Washed a load of towels and dried them in the dryer. They get pretty stiff when I air dry them, so used the dryer since these are the better towels I get out for company.
Lots of family drama going on and I didn't get anything else done because I've been on and off the phone most of the day. Last bunch of talking left me with a very bad headache.
Also got the call from our committee head that my name was given as back-up/take over person while the kitchen "lady in charge" is away for a week. EEEKS! I told the gal on the phone all the stuff I did not know how to do and made it clear that I would do my best if something came up within the week if we had to have a memorial service for someone...but there was lots I don't know. Please pray that our church family has a very quiet week.
Meeting at church this evening.
(Dee) I hope your car repair was a good one and everything fixed, sorry it was so much money.

Tomorrow is graduation and then LO is done.

I'm trying to concentrate on one room at a time. Currently the bathtub is cleaning itself. As soon as I hit send, I will go give it a once over with the new scrubber sponge. Everything else is dry and has to go back under the sink. Easy peasy.
The books have all been put away. I "should" iron the 3 pairs of shorts that were crammed into Mike's bottom drawer. Too bad the ironing board is cleared off but not away yet. I "should" remedy that. Before I do something foolish, like plug in the iron.

Just say "no", Cathy.
((OKay)) prayers winging your way, Sadie's way....
Five Guys was a wash with us and we tried twice. Fries were just awful and such a big part of the meals. Maybe that was the main problem, but the burgers, too, seemed to taste like the fries???? greasiness? HRH really just shut his mind to it after that. Maybe just our location/franchise here, of course. Another thing is that HRH is not eating burgers and dd14 always prefers chicken. But I'll remember the bacon burger and grilled onion recommendation, and sometime on a high calorie day by myself I could give it a try. That does sound good.
Sorry, again I just don't hae time to post

Finally got hold of DSon. He was in path of tornado but made it out about 15 minutes before it hit. He is driving home now. There is another tornado in between him and home but he will be okay. DD and DGD2 live near the tornado path. She isn't responding to my text. DGS16 is trying to reach her also.
Edited to update - DD just replied. They are okay.
