Hello. I skimmed the past several days' posts. Twins, and Elizabeth, sorry for all the broken bones. Elizabeth, I was thinking that DD had broken something (an ankle?) previously and wonder if her bones are strong also. Twins, I hope her test shed some light on the non-healing injury.
Life is just too complicated right now. I go from one thing to the next. My knees still hurt badly, well the left one does, and sometimes I just have to sit and do nothing for a while.
Last week, my keys went missing. When I come in I clip my key ring to the ring on my purse strap. Sometimes I don't get that done if I have my arms full and sit the keys down on the bar counter next to my purse. Sometimes I sit both down on the dining room table or my desk chair, both close by. But I'm always struggling with my arms full.... and now they're missing. When I go with DH to move trucks around I use a different set of keys that has about 15 keys...but still have to get the 3 usual ones out to lock the front door...
Last week I did all that shopping trying not to look so dowdy, and was in the trucks a couple times. I've put e v e r y t h i n g away in the house and have crawled through all 3 trucks checking in all DH's messes...and they're nowhere. Today I spent 4 hours and went to each of the stores I'd been in searching their lost & founds.
There is too much paperwork mess in this house (which migrates to the kitchen) to keep track of stuff properly. I don't know how to fix that problem, DH won't cooperate.
Now you wouldn't think this would be such a bad thing, losing the keys, since I carry a spare set except for DD's house key; but I just want to give up on everything. Ev e r y t h i n g.
DSiL brings 3 DGSons this evening for us to keep till Monday or Tuesday. I don't feel capable.
AK!

Dove, the burpee link is in one of Okays posts, on page 1 yesterday.
Dove, when dd2 lived in this house, dd1 and I helped her paint the family room and bar area. We primed it and then painted it something like St. Barts, from Sherwin Williams. It is a bluish teal. Dh and I would never have been brave enough to use that color but we love it. I hear you on the bar area getting piled up. It is a constant fight here.
Went to S taples and the guy told me I need to look for Windows updates. I came home, looked at it and decided that dh can do it. I am afraid that I will make it worse, since I am computer illiterate.
I have 2 40 % off coupons from my favorite womens clothing store. I can't use them together so, I will buy one thing today and go back tomorrow for the other. I was in earlier in the week and found several things. Guess I better do that.
We are in an elevated risk area today. The weatherman didn't seem too worried about it, but it is awfully humid for the wind to be blowing so much. Makes me uneasy, if a storm does pop up.
(((Harmony))) I hope you find the keys and soon. I know that would drive me crazy. I would tear the house apart looking for a straight pin if I knew one was missing. Having 3 dgs until Monday or Tuesday will really add to your stress. I wish I could zap you some much needed help.

Exactly where I am right now. When I got up from nap, I called dmom, made a dr appointment for her, made a hair appointment for me and dd and tried to reschedule a dermatologist appointment. I ran to Tar-jay for a few needed items, and Lowes for the weed eater reel that dh needs. I wanted to get mulch for our front area, but the store was just packed and my patience was low. I think it was two days ago that I was paying a water bill for my sister's house online and got interrupted, and I've never gotten back to it.
DD is in a mood this afternoon, taking offense at anything I say to her.

Hello all!
It's shockingly cold here today...don't think we'll be kicking off summer this weekend. I did dishes and 2 loads of wash, then took care of half my errands (recycle dropoff, library, and grocery store). Banking, Ollie's, and Tractor Supply will have to wait.
One phone call returned. Now to start supper...which is just soup on this cold day.

(((Harmony))))
Had a successful errand run except for taking longer than I had hoped. DGS16 and I had a great time together and got to talk for hours.
BIG RELIEF - LO does not need another immunization shot. I have papers from doctor office proving it to give to the school.
First WW weigh-in was a success. 5 lbs lost. I stayed after the regular meeting for the power start meeting (aka training for beginners)
Evening plans have been scrambled. DSon and family are headed our way. Not sure if they will stay the entire weekend, but it will be fine if they do.

Thanks everybody. I will have to accept that the keys are just gone. I will set up another set and force myself to move on. Somehow. I am just mentally stuck with this problem.
The last 2 times I had to clean up the paper mess in the kitchen and dining room a couple piles of it got put back here in the office - where it should have been in the first place... and I was thinking, maybe, just maybe my 3 keys were underneath all that.
So I spent the last couple hours making folders, organizing all this paper mess and the office looks much better...but no keys. I need to move on. I don't know how.
(OKay) I'm glad LO didn't need any more shots!

Harmony, you know they may still turn up somewhere. Take your mind off of them and sometimes they will return to you.

Of course, sometimes they don't.

Harmony, if it were possible, I would come and take the guys on an outing one afternoon during your naptime (which you would schedule as soon as we left). Tell the boys as soon as they arrive that you are looking for a set of keys, just in case.
"Burpee" or "squat-thrust" chat - Squat thrusts can be hard on the lower back. Just be careful to make them slow and steady, when you are well-hydrated.
Delightful righteous indignation - I nearly missed the whole recent Aber-crombie and Fit-ch dust-up, and that would have been a shame 'cause it's delightful. I don't care for loud dark shopping, anyway, but have never had it suggested that I (or my child) am/are not cool enough for a mall store.
They are not cool enough for me, bless their hearts. Perhaps young people should not be hired there until their parents agree to a weigh-in to show probability that the family stays in tiny sizes as they mature and the company won't be embarrassed. Should apply to the board of directors first, of course - wonder what sizes they wear. Kirstie Allie is a hoot. "... for people that are cool and who look a certain way and are beautiful and who are thin and blah, blah, blah, blah, blah." She says two children in her household are of the sizes A&F says they "will cater to", but guess who buys their clothes?
Oh, I love it - have to hold my sides. I'm sure they're not such rascals there in that boardroom - they couldn't be - but it's nice to have a little righteous indignation.
I'm probably a little punchy anyhow. Very hard day with my ddad. Long, long day. I ate lunch outside trying to find a retreat.

Harmony.... I'm with twins but know for myself I would still be looking for them in my mind.
Willis had a good swim today and then rolled in the grass and sunned himself while I watered my flowers. I had to pretend I was the rain when I came to my nesting pot. Mama was there sitting on her eggs. I stood way back, put the hose tip on "shower" and aimed into the air above the nest. It worked. She didn't fly out and my petunias got a much needed watering.
A very merry birthday dee. Hope you have a great celebration with family and friends.
Schools out for more than summer Lucylee..... Enjoy

Hi everyone! I got called away from payroll because the doctor ordered DD11 to stay home and elevate the broken tibia. The could not put a cast on until the swelling comes down some more. A friend called me for lunch, but we arranged dinner instead because DD is afraid to go out much. While she lay on my sofa, I did a super serious clean up in the master bedroom. I also assembled my $2.50 gas grill. I need to thaw some meat to cook on it now. ALL the handles are missing, but it does work. I got some hand sewing done, did a little cleanup in the kitchen and did LOLs I still have a few things to go.
Tomorrow will be interesting because I am taking SIX cats to the adoption clinic! I can now staff a clinic all by myself!!!
Dee: Happy Birthday!
Nancy: Gotta watch those climbers. When DD was 3, I put one of her toys in time out on top of the refrigerator and told her she could have it back in the morning. She woke up before us and climbed to the top of the fridge and retrieved it herself! We had to make a new rule against fridge climbing.
Harmony: DD has broken both arms and now her leg in the span of two years. We are concerned about bone strength and have a message in to her primary care doctor. We are glad that two of the incidents took place with dozens of witnesses and in places where a write up had to be made. The broken right arm happened when it was just me and DD, but that by itself does not raise peoples' suspicions.
I think I will unload some laundry and work in the kitchen for 10 minutes.
