Hello! :D Happy Terrific Tuesday to Everybody! ;)

DONE:
Ordered inhaler from local pharmacy :)
Mail-ordered medications :)
Had coffee, did emails, death notices :)
Prayed for DH to find the "correct" phone number for the pump guy; wrote wrong one down. :?
DH got the correct # and accidentally had written an 8 instead of a 3! :!:
DH got a hold of the pump man, he'll return our phone call this afternoon. :D
Had my shower, dressed, fixed my hair. :)
Ran a computer scan. :)
Did my meter and inhaler chamber thing. :)

TO DO:
Have a few projects in the works for today:
Write a short story by hand from an outline form:
Continue writing story titles on outline forms, so it's nearing the end: :D
Legwarmers were too time-consuming to crochet + found better bought 2 prs. ready-made on-line and bought them: :D

WISHES:
The pump man's here! - :D Pump man had no problem finding us. :D
Hope to finish my writing-outline projects today. (Still in progress).

Have a GR8 Day! :D

Morning y'all...

All morning routines done. I have several errands I need to do today, but I sort of have a headache. I took something for it and am waiting for it to get better.

My son is off the trail. I was getting sort of antsy when I received a text from him saying they were off. Every thing went fine. They, he and his friend, were only rained on during the night and by then they were in a shelter. I asked him if he would have done anything different now that he's home and he said no...right amount of food, clothes and weight. He encountered many people on the trail...which I figured he would...who were from all over the U.S. Some were graduates of either HS or college and were planning on hiking the entire trail...I think thats about 2300 miles. He said he saw many women my age hiking. He wants to plan a future mom/son trip. I told him I would love to do it, but I would need a bit of time to prepare. Average walk is 8 miles high on the ridges without much change in elevation. I could easily do that now, but not with 30lbs strapped to my back. But at least he knows I'm gamed.

Sweetie and I had a slow and easy weekend. I did attend a graduation for two of my former students. I went with another teacher. The family is Hispanic and we know the parents, as the siblings pretty well. A new baby has been born into the family so there were four generations at the party. I had a most excellent time. The food was terrific. It is a Mexican tradition to eat goat at these types of celebrations. I'm pretty adventureous when it comes to trying food, so I ate some. It was delicious!!! There was a pot of what we would call pulled pork, but spiced their way as well. The goat was cooked the same way in an other pot. The texture was the same and if I hadn't been told what I was eating I would have thought it was pork cooked a different way.

There were many extended family members at the party and my friend and I stuck out like a sore thumb. By the time we were getting ready to leave, everyone knew we were the kids' teachers. I don't believe I have ever been thanked so many times at one event for doing what I do. It was wonderful and my friend and I ended feeling like we were the honored guests.

Headache has eased so I'm making a run for it....I'll be back later. Thanks y'all for asking about my son. I appreciate it. :D

Harriet we plan on keeping up on the X tables during the summer when dgson is over.

I have done some more exercise, I'm back inside after another round of yard work, I've moved one pile to the temp. spot so I can get to it, out in front of the chicken's run. They had a lot of fun looking for bugs n such and scratching around after I got it out from behind the coop. I did some intentional arm exercises while tossing it from one spot to the other. =D
Hens were busy in the coop and outside nesting boxes today as well. They were very happy today! Yea for happy chickens!

On the Cake Boss show last night they had a segment I caught of a spin class 45 min. = 750 cal. burn. Now that quite a work out some were standing up to pedal! I was interested in that part of the show.

Glad I was pretty current on inside stuff b/c of the wet weekend, looks like we are going to be getting more rain dark clouds over head, if it goes around us I'll be mowing.

Hello Dear Ladies,

Looks like rain here for us. Very cloudy.

I have done the dishes and started dinner. Having a roast which is cooking now, mashed potatoes and a veggie.

Need to work a bit on the computer, then work on the floors.

DH is working in his shop today so he pops into the house some times for things.

Better get crackin.

Have a great day all!

Been AWOL from anything computer. Trying to get back into some sort of routine around here.

Friday eve. after my quickie clean-up around here 3 DGSs and their dawg arrived for their stay. DSonil stayed the night and left about 4:30 in the AM to go help at the work site where DD2 was. The weekend and Monday was non-stop with the kids, trip to the golf driving range (overrated I think) and church on Sunday...and of course non-stop meals and laundry and cleaning and cooking...and our small group was here Sun eve for a couple hours.

Whew! As soon as DSoniL came to pick them up I took a very needed nap.

Dr. appointment today. I went in feeling relatively healthy, came out feeling not so great. Got blood drawn for routine tests including my thyroid for my med...and had much conversation with this great dr. about the dromidary hump appearing on my neck/back of which she was very sympathetic. Last year's bone density and mamogram reports being transferred to this office...and I have next year's mamo. scheduled already...plus a return visit to dr. in 3 weeks or so to find out just how healthy (or not) I am. Short ekg showed up the arrhythmia (which was a surprise since I wasn't feeling it) so stress test and dye xray and echocardiogram ordered also.

Trying not to think about what this is all going to cost me.

Picked up Rx on the way home and 5 stops later I managed to find a new cell phone which will work with our plan. I have to learn how to use it next.

Turkey breast is roasting in the roaster and this weekend's sheets (some of them) are in the washer.

Knee is still aching. Dr. says I have fluid in there, wondered about an xray but I said the pain wasn't sharp just deep and dull... now I'm thinking about the treadmill stress not going to feel good.

I need to cuop.

Update from dh:
I'm borrowing a camper's iphone to say i love you and i am safe and sound.

I will write more tonight. I still do not know if i am working in lima.
Yay he is safe! Funny that Cowinkie and I find out at almost the same time!

Ds and I had a productive time. Lunch, banking, then I bought jeans, pants and a skirt. Shopped for a top but didn't find anything perfect. Ds found a gorgeous dress for me. It would have had to be XL to fit but before looking for that I looked at the price. Two pieces. The shrug was $60, the dress $140. Ds was shocked! I wasn't - I could tell by the drape and vibrancy of the colours in the material, plus the classic style that it was a quality piece. But not $200 worth of quality.

I'm going to do something now. Not sure what, but something.

Hello, villagers ~

Good thing I am in the habit now of turning the computer off before going to bed. The power flicked off again in the night. Came right back on, but it was down enough to blip the electronics. :x

This week is going to be a bit crazy. The big annual book sale fund raiser for the library is Saturday, and we start setting up tomorrow. Today is my prep day, to get everything I need set up for the week because I'm not sure exactly when I'll be home after today.

I had to run up to the library before they closed at 1 to sign out a key. Tomorrow morning first thing we will start setting up tables and getting boxes of books out of storage. I just received an Email with an agenda, apparently we are supposed to simultaneously conduct a special meeting for some rush decision? :? :?:

I am disappointed in myself that I did not make the time to sort my books to be able to donate more to the sale. I have 1 small box ready to go, but had hoped to do more. We're scheduled for setting up Thursday and Friday mornings as well as tomorrow. If I don't have to be up there in the afternoons, I will try to pull at least 1 more box full to donate from my stash.

Not that we'll need any more for the sale, we have plenty to fill the tables. I just want to get some excess out of my house before I buy more! ;)

I need to run a few errands yet this afternoon. Must finish a couple of mini jobs before I jump in the car again. Break time is over, better get back to work.

PS: Harriet ~ I recently read a camping blog that says toothpaste will help with bug bites. The paste type, not the gel. Not that your dd has toothpaste in her bookbag either, but an idea to try some time if you run out of the cortizone and can't get to the store.

Waving to all!!!
I'm still coming in too late in the day to cuop! :(

Busy day today.
Second day in a row -- walked 3 miles outdoors, w/ds & dgs today.
Then -- s2s --
* school, to get the cd I had left in the computer & a study guide on The Great Gatsby
(We saw the movie last night, and I am currently reading the novel, and I just can't get enough of it for some reason. Still haven't seen the Robert Redford version, which I suspect would be my favorite, b/c I love Robert Redford.)
* visited a minute w/a couple of friends who were working, no more tears when I left
* drug store
* CVS
* funeral home to get death certificates for dmom
* bank
* home
Tomorrow is another day.

Cowinkie & Kathryn, I'm glad that you've heard from your hikers! Lilac too.

Sorry to read Twins DD has a stress fracture.

Elizabeth, perhaps the lack of response by the XHfriend means he knew about it but did not tell you.

Watched the GCarlin video, very funny! Yes, I emptied my purse several times and DH did once too. I even looked in the one I had used a couple weeks before up in the closet. I have 1 more truck to look through if DH ever brings it home from jobsite. He looked in there and I looked quickly once, but I'll do a good check soon. Then I'll set up a new set and move on. My mind isn't as stuck on the problem as it was. As it turns out I have new and more important things to worry about...

Sunny, I wish your DH's numbers had been better, but it's good that you're dealing with it. I'm worrying about my numbers.

I guess I'll go hang up that load of sheets and baste the turkey, then I'll try to read my cell phone manual.
