It has been raining here all day so I stayed home.

The errand to the library was to haul in 2 boxes of stuff for the book sale and my tote bag of files for tomorrow night's meeting, plus a big yard sign with our open hours. I didn't think rain would help any of the things in the boxes or bag, and the sign is too big to carry very far.

Hopefully there will be a break in the rain early in the day tomorrow so I can take the stuff then. I had wanted to get everything there early so I could walk to the sale tomorrow evening, leaving a parking space available for a customer.

Desk work tonight. Maybe 1 load of laundry. Trash bin needs to go to the curb.

A tropical storm is out in the Gulf and will go past us tonight and tomorrow. It is a minimum wind prediction and they're saying a couple inches (maybe) of rain. Tropical storms can be pretty nasty, leaving a lot of road damage and flooding, but this one doesn't seem as severe.

I tried to get a few things done, but my stomach won't cooperate. So, I'm taking it easy. I'm sorry I ate the things I did today. I probably should have stayed with a bland soft diet for a while.

The kitchen is piled up because my skin problems have flared and every time I wash dishes it gets bad again. My rubber gloves have a hole in them and I definitely need a new pair.

Well, after all that happy news, I guess I'll go lay down.

Twins, I hope the new place turns out to be good for your dsister.

((Harmony)) get some rest and tomorrow is a new day. Ask dh to pick up a pair of flock-lined gloves for you and until they arrive, bring out the paper plates, cups and utensils. All household chores are of value and wholesome up until the point that it is hurting someone to do them, and then it's time to drop them. That's it. No more. Not worth it. NaDa. End of dishwashing 'til your skin can heal. Sandwiches, take out, picnic fare.

I have gone through some hormone-like symptoms yesterday and today and hardly recognize it/myself. Emotion, cravings, discomfort, nerves. blessed said something nice to me and I just burst into tears like I was 30 again and hormonal. Part is easing, so I realize all is on the way to easing, but the cravings blindsided me and have done some damage. Bloating now. I feel awful and I am another one who needs to say tomorrow is another day. Where is lucylee when we need an amen to that.

Take care, everyone.

Cats, I'm glad you're doing better and can sort papers to your heart's content.

Harmony, Would putting lotion on your hands and putting your hands into surgical gloves help your hands while doing dishes and housework? I don't know if you use a special lotion for your hands or not.

I used rubber gloves for disinfecting door knobs, handles, pulls, phones, etc... today. When I pulled them off, off melted the forefinger and thumb of one glove! We have surgical gloves I can use though. The only problem is that they're not Costco's and they are hard to get on. When DH rubs Ben Gay on my back, he uses a surgical glove so his hand doesn't get all stinky!

Harriet, Sorry you got blind-sided! :(

I did that yesterday. But today's been a good day with a walk and healthy eating. I feel the difference in how I feel and the bloat isn't bad today.

Hi everyone! I went to the yarn shop and got measurements for things to make and we set dates for people to get together and work on the yarn bombing materials. I went to the car dealership, but was a day too early, will have to go back within a few days. If anyone wants to see the jacket I have been working on for about a year and a half, it is posted in Arts, Crafts, and Needlework. I also updated Quicken tonight.

What still needs to be done:
pack beer (I am giving it away tomorrow, I don't like beer. It is leftover from the Halloween party.)
5 minute room rescue in the sewing room

Then I think I will crochet and watch a mindless video.

Peeking in before bed. ((Cats)), I'm so sorry you had to have surgery & were in so much pain. Happy to read that you are healing & feeling much better, & that your dsis has been there to help you. Good job on all the paper purging! :)

MT, what a relief for you to learn that everything is OK! :D

Bookie, from someone who loves to shop at library book sales, thank you for all the time & hard work you put into yours. :)

Wow, Dee, I didn't think Mr Dee would be up & walking so soon. So happy that he is recovering so well. What a nice outcome to have better fitting glasses after the inconvenience of dealing with broken ones. (PS -- I read recently that leg cramps can be caused by dehydration. Maybe try a glass of water before bed?)

How frustrating about the insurance, ((Harmony)). Hope your stomach feels better soon.

Hope you wake up feeling wonderful tomorrow, ((Harriet)).

Sweet dreams, everyone.
