Yep, dogs love ear smells. Ewwwwww. Well, yours wasn't ear...but they seem to love the cotton anyway.

Making progress like a snail across my desk. A v e r y s l o w s n a i l.

Payroll done. Taxes in.

DH wanted to go to the beach. I want to get all this stuff off my mind. He'd gone out and bought some of those water shoes they use scubba diving because he can no longer walk across all the shells without his feet hurting. I can barely do it, it's not comfortable, but his feet aren't as healthy as mine. Last week there were huge piles of shells everywhere and in the water surf..all from those last storm here. I talked him into waiting until tomorrow to go. Let's hope it isn't rainy. He will be disappointed.

Harriet, perhaps if the movie was going to be a really really sweet encouraging movie it wouldn't be so bad to have your house filmed. But if it was a story like Amytville Horror (sp) good luck EVER getting your house sold.....I recently thought about that when they showed the actual house filmed.

Church events went well. I cooked until after 9:00 last night for it and started again at 6:30am this morning. I had everything loaded up and out the door by 8:30. I am so very thankful for the supportive caring group of ladies at our church. Everyone just pitches in and works until it is all done.

***GASP*** LO just drove the tractor past my front door. :o By himself! DH was walking along side of him. BUT BUT BUT BUT

Wow, driving the tractor, OKay?

I'm thinking the headache might have been because I only had time for one cup of coffee this morning before I took Macs out. I'm having an iced coffee to try to get my intake up.

The kids next door are over and ds is entertaining/herding them. I think they are going to play a Mario bros game upstairs if ds can find it. Funny listening to them.

Haven't done anything today. Tomorrow dh comes home - I guess I haven't wimped out completely while he was away this time. Yesterday was quite active.

Harmony...I'm right there with you working on paper work. I won't quit till I'm done if you don't ;)
YIKES Okay..

Told Sweetie I didn't want to cook tonight...maybe we could do some take home salads...He said he was going to suggest the same thing. My tummy's still off a bit, but I think its the heat and bright sunlight even though I haven't been out that much.

I moved my boombox/portable stereo to a different place in my office and made my cd's more accessible so I can play them. So glad I did as I am really enjoying my music while I work...nothin' like a little Tina Turner singing Rollin' on the River to get ya going.

I still have papers to shredded and also must find some homes for other things. There's a pile of junk in the middle of my office floor, but its gonna stay there till the sun goes way down.

Aretha's singing RESPECT...so I'm off to bop along with the music while I attack my desk...Keep at it Harmony, I'm counting on you :D

Next up...Society's child, Sweet Talkin Guy, To Sir with Love, Where did Our Love Go, Where the Boys Are, Will you Love Me tomorrow, Wishin' and Hopin', You Don't have to Say you Love Me, You Don't Own Me....Y'all can sing along with me if you'd like.....................

All great songs, Cowinkie. Dh and I were listening to summer songs (all songs with summer in the title.) Another good selection and were bopping around the kitchen as we worked on butchering the tenderloin and doing up the dishes.

We watched the final episode of the first season of The Hour (a UK tv show.) It was very good but very suspenseful and now I'm all shaky and tense. I've gone 22 hours without a pain killer but have a splitting headache and sore sides.

I didn't walk near enough today or yesterday. It was easy when I was away but now that I'm home it is hard unless I go for a specific walk and walks around here are boring because the first kilometer (which is all I should be walking) is the same route each time.

The only reason I got to 2900 steps today is I went outside and walked down the walkway to the street, back up the driveway and repeated 4x until it started to rain. I can't do my normal walking around the house (well, I can but it would be useless since I can't carry anything.) Normally, I'm up and down stairs on the weekends with laundry or putting the groceries away in the basement but dh has been carrying all the loads and doing it for me. I'm going to have to start back on the treadmill but I'm afraid for my knees.

Sigh... I'm just in a rough mood. And the kitchen tap is dripping and driving me nuts (it needs to be replaced but dh doesn't mind the dripping so it isn't a priority for him, in fact he's avoiding the task because we have to shut the water off to the house.)

I seem to be in the doghouse with dd2. This morning I watched the kids while she put up a new shipment of bisque and opened the store. When she got home I stayed so she could get a shower. She told me her and the kids were going to the farm to see the combines, since they are harvesting their poor wheat crop. Dgd16 was working this afternoon. Dd1 and I decided to go see a movie. At one time dd2 had indicated that she wanted to see it but her dh is working long hours and she has a hard time convincing dgd16 to watch the kids. Since dd1 and I are her go-to babysitters, she was out of luck. I guess we should have asked her but we didn't. She was planning to take the 4 younger kids to see Monster U tonight and tomorrow they are going out of town. It will just be a long day trip to the big city 200 miles east of here. I had left my cell phone at home, so when I came in I noticed that she had called both phones. She had texted dd1 while we at the show, "I suppose you went to the show without me". I finally called her and it went straight to voice mail. She called me after they left the movie and was very cool towards me. I can always tell when she is mad at me because when I say "I love you" if she is mad she won't say it. Oh well, she can get glad in the same pants she got mad in. I didn't know dd1 and I needed her permission to do anything!

Of the 4 most important people in my life, those being dh, both dds and dm, I am batting .500 at them being irritated at me. Dm is at the family reunion. I haven't heard from her since she left home and normally she would call to check in.

Dh called awhile ago. He plans to head home tomorrow around mid morning. After we talked I watched the weather and he may be riding in rain at times. Our weather forecast is for 80's for the next week. :? :o For the 1st week of July, that is almost unheard of.

I am waiting for a load of towels to dry and then I need to head to bed. My bs was low enough awhile ago that I needed to have a snack to keep from going too low during the night. I really hate it when dh is gone when it comes to bs issues. Then I tend to over compensate, but better high than too low.
