DMom appt went well although it took 2 hours. They did a very through eye examination. All is well as can be. Her eye vision has significantly changed (50 points in one eye) so she will order new glasses soon. She didn't want to pick them out today because of limited sight after being dilated. It was a great relief to me that she was thinking clearly today. I remain hopefully her confusion is/was grief-n-stress related.

We went to the cemetery headstone place and talked to the designer about their headstone. DMom wanted to make a change from wedding bells to wedding ring on their stone, but then she changed her mind again and decided to leave the design like it was.

Our internet connection has been very poor lately. The ISP techs have tried various tweaking from their end and I have done the same here. They have been blaming it on an overload of frequency interference. Now they suspect hardware related problems so a technician will come out tomorrow.

Hello, villagers ~
The weather is gorgeous here today, which was nice for running errands.

I had to have blood drawn first thing, and then my reward for that was to meet a good friend at a fabric shop and help her look for supplies for her theatre project. Then we had a long lunch and caught up on each other's news.

Stopped by Goodwill but did not find anything. I'm looking for a couple of specific things, and did not take the time to browse. I think that was probably my quickest visit to Goodwill ever. :)

Aldi for a few groceries that I forgot last week.
Post office to get the mail.
Library to return an interlibrary loan book about campers.

Finally home to answer Emails and make a DPC while sipping some ice water.

I would love to take a short nap, but I'm concerned that would mess up sleeping tonight. Therefore, since I have had no coffee yet today, I'm making some half caff. Hopefully that will keep me working through the evening without making me stay up too late.

Must do laundry tonight after supper.
Looks to be about time to start cooking.

I dusted the bedroom level and cleaned the bathrooms. Tidied and dusted the laundry room. Kept finding ants so tracked down where they are coming from. Put the barrier stuff on the outside, sprayed the ones inside and then got that level of the house vacuumed and the floors damp mopped. When it dries, I'll put down barrier stuff on the inside of the door where they are getting in. Hopefully they haven't gone much further than the laundry room.

I've done a third load of laundry and need to go hang that (just remembered.) Dh carried it and the vacuum up to the bedroom level for me and I've vacuumed up there now so can set up the drying rack once more.

I also have to remember to water the plants before we leave. And bring in the laundry out on the line. And pack.

My TOM has arrived (last one was May 15) so I'm either sore from that or all the work or both. Have only managed 6000 steps today and 3500 of those were from the treadmill. Seems depressing when I've been so active.

Could not go into dsis' house at first. Couldn't stand the stench, stepped out after nearly retching. I stood at the door where I could get fresh air and talked to XBIL and was finally okay with going in. Saying it's a mess is a gross understatement. I am going to call about getting a dumpster tomorrow and XBIL and I will start cleaning out. While there, I got two "family" canes (weird huh, but one was my grandfather's, the other is made of glass) and some photos that I will reframe and take to dsis.

Tomorrow I go back with my friend who is a realtor to get his read on it. XBIL says someone in the neighborhood is interested in house for rental property.

Wow, I just had a go around with dd2 over us going to the movie without her. Dd1 was having a bad day with dgd16, so I suggested we go to the movie. I told dd2 that I put dd1 needs first and she hit the roof over that. She told me that I make it sound like all I ever do is things for her. :? Well don't I? She said she told us about the movie and that we had all agreed to go together. Well correct me if I am wrong but I had seen the movie trailers and I didn't think WW3 would start over her being left out. I had called to see when dgs7 ballgame is and apologize. The first time she didn't answer. I called about 45 minutes later and she answered. She kept screeching at me and I never raised my voice. She told me that she didn't want me to come to the game because she didn't need that stress. Then she complained that we always come late with our drinks. Well she has to be there early for him to practice and we don't. Also, the first few games we would call and see if she wanted us to get her a drink and she always said no. I told her that I didn't realize that I needed her permission to do anything. She hit the roof over that. I only said that because she said we should have called and told her we knew she wanted to go but we didn't want to wait, so we were going. Doesn't that sound like we had to have her blessing for it to be allowed?

I shouldn't even be putting this on here but just needed to vent. My dh about went thru the roof. He said she is acting like a spoiled brat and needs a spanking. She would love to hear that. I have news for her, I won't be calling her. She can calm down and the next time she gets in a jam, she will call. Until then I am staying away.

Thanks for listening.

Wow! Lots going on here. ((Twins)) I can't imagine a house being that bad. ((Lilac)) Sorry about the family conflict.

Glad you had better weather, bookie. We're rainy and gray now. bleh. Tomorrow looks like more of the same.

This day has been a dud in terms of productivity. This afternoon, I got distracted looking at options for our vacation and then at lodging near Glacier. I think we may just go and camp. It will be fun just to be with dh and dkids and dfriends in such a beautiful setting.

I did get to the groc. store today - but only to buy necessities + ingredients for dinner tonight. I still need to buy fixings for dinner tomorrow (leftovers on Wed. I hope) and car snacks. We try to keep our car snacks minimal and healthy now. I always pack apples and grapes, carrot stix, ryvita crackers, all natural veggie straws (or something similar), and Fiber One (90 calorie) bars for something sweet. I will pack some less healthy crackers for the kids - and granola bars. If I remember, I'll go buy some packs of roasted seaweed and pack some those too. That is my latest addiction!! SO good - and so low in cal. Kind of high in Na, though, depending on the brand. Just water bottles to drink.

Dinner is over. I have taken dd15 to drumline practice. Dh is at a meeting at the church.

I'm going to make a DPC and then get ds and dd17 to help me clean the kitchen.

Laundry is in off the line, third load is hung inside. Plants are watered. More ant poison is down. My first lunch for tomorrow is packed. First dinner is done. Second will likely just be fruit with some crackers if I'm still hungry but it is almost 8 so I doubt I'll get hungry before bed. I had breakfast at 11:15, some toast at 12:30, salmon and salad at 3 and then veggies at 5. Also some tostitos before I packaged up the bag and sent it to work with ds. So my small dinner at 6:30 should be enough.

Kitchen needs to be tidied up but dh said he's load the dishwasher for me and wash up the frying pan.

I still need to pack. It is only an overnight, so really, I only need to be toiletries, a change of underwear, a second top and something to sleep in. I have a colourful skirt and I think I'll just take it with two different coloured tops. It is dressy enough for the dinner and casual enough for the game.

I was right I babyN showed up around lunch time. I was down in the dumps a bit this morning. Both girls are gone now.
I fed and watered the chickens again. They seem to be doing okay. I've been making sure they have fresh water and watering the grass down in the shade to cool it off, and lightly spraying them they don't like it much but seem to get out and about after I do that.

H. made it through the day today came home and after s2s headed for the basement.

Did some laundry today dumped trash.

I cooked corn on the cob today for dinner.

I decided to take advantage of our cool weather (mid 80's) and do some heavy duty garden tasks. I removed all the bricks from one of the beds (about 30 of them), pulled up boards I had put underneath them, then rototilled, laid out marker line, dug a trench for the brick foundation, put all the bricks back and finally raked all the dirt to make it level. Every muscle in my body has a good buzz going on. :D

Although I just carried & set 1200 lbs of bricks. my Fitbit says I'm a slug. I've only walked 3792 steps today.

OKay, I feel that my fitbit lies to me as well sometimes. I'm bone tired but I'm not over 8K steps yet today. I've given up, unplugged the fitbit receiver from my computer (it is a battery drainer) and am now going to shut down my computer until I'm on the train tomorrow.

I'm finding the time to pack is filling the time I have, except I meant to be in bed 30 minutes ago. I'm trying to pack in a very small case (and both dh and I are in the one suitcase.) Dh is bringing his computer backpack, including projector, so that means that we'll have more tech stuff with us than other stuff since I'm bringing my laptop too.

See you all tomorrow at some point.
