Elizabeth's dd... * sheesh * At least the newlyweds are beginning to show their true colors to her, and she will know the truth without you having to openly bad-mouth anyone,

Harmony asked
OKay:
One question I had though is about the logging of papers. If it takes the same amount of time to process a paper as to log it, wouldn't it be more efficient to process it instead?
Hmmm... that would be my problem... and I think I would still have a little bit of the "out of sight/out of mind" problem. Right now I do have a stack on my counter that MUST be dealt with soon. I hate it, but dh agrees, if we don't keep these things here, we won't do them.
Counter system definitely needs work though. There are
some things that could be out of sight with no great loss. For example, it has been over 2 months since ddad passed away. There is really no need for sympathy cards and laminated obituaries, etc., to still be piled on the counter.
My "to do" stacks are not very high, also, Harmony. The main thing right now has I think 4 papers: retirement paper something/change of insurance something/ bank statement/sticky note re: HP order. Make that 6 papers/groups of papers... also have an invitation to wedding anniversary party which needs rsvp, and my medical records from allergy doctor... which I need to find a place for.
Then I have a stack of receipts from debit card purchases, which should be much smaller after reconciling bank statement.
DH keeps running grocery list and necessary coupons here.
Mail/etc which must be passed on to ds stays here.
So... yes... it is pretty cluttered.
Y'all, forgive me, as usual for being preoccupied. As you know, we had dgs Thurs.-Sat. Sunday was church, etc. Yesterday, we had an almost 2-hour drive for dsisil's father's funeral visitation. Today, we had the same drive for the funeral. I thought that tomorrow I would make the same drive, plus maybe 30 minutes, for dmom's doctor's appt. I was about to be pulling my hair out. However... since dmom was a little bit of a procrastinator on getting her blood work/etc done here, and b/c she sympathized with my exhaustion, she has changed that appt to next Wednesday.
Between now and then, we MAYBE can rest until Saturday, when we will be going to Nashville for dh's annual birthday trip... Sunday, another hour's drive for a church service where ds is singing... and Monday, local music in the park w/ds.
We came home today and dh and I both slept for about 2 hours. * whew *

ALSO -- good news to report -- after googling and getting input from all y'all -- and cleaning printheads -- still no luck w/my black ink.
90 minutes w/very helpful HP tech on the phone, and I should have an upgraded, refurbished printer by Friday, with 3-year warranty and same ink cartridges as the ones I just purchased. Printer is going to cost me $159, plus $19 for extended warranty. I feel very relieved and will be even more relieved if I can install it without creating conflicts w/computer.
Another question...
Often times -- usually -- when I am posting on this site, my keyboard sort of freezes up about mid post. If I do a very short post, there is no problem. Perhaps it is the universe's way of telling me to SHUT UP. I just wondered if anyone else had this trouble. DH hates our computer so it is probably our problem... but it is definitely annoying. I'll be typing along just fine... and then I'll see that I've typed a word or two and... nothing is showing up. Wait... wait... there it is.... wait... there's more... okay... * whew *
